Terrible comparison. You really can't compare smaller titles to larger AAA titles. The comparison should sooner be with something that matches its budget like an indie title. Those are all 5 to 15 dollars and you're going to get a lot more than an hour per 5 dollars.
Most people don't finish TLoU in 10 hours. It took me about 12 and my friend like 16. Then there's all of the difficulty levels and ng+ replayability. Then there's the huge quality disparity between that game and this one.
A better comparison would be a telltale game episode. That's 5 dollars yet twice as long. Factor in the season pass basically saves you 5 dollars and these things are on sale all the time. This is kind of a rip off. But if you're hard ...
The pathetic was uncalled for, but he's right about it being a last-gen game (an ugly one too). This is the same as getting excited about an indie or a racing or a fighting game running at 1080p. It's just nothing to brag about. It's actually embarrassing if you have to brag about it.
I could see them going back to Star Ocean. It's a solid series that hasn't been milked really. They need to avoid the timed exclusivity crap this time too. Nobody is buying an Xbox just for SO and the game would see three times the sales on PS anyway. Doesn't help that TLH was also a pretty mediocre game.
Going to take that as sarcasm. Please be excited.
The guitar mechanics and charts were a bit more refined, but I enjoyed nothing more than Expert drums in Rock Band. Got burnt out on GH on the third one, before they even did a sloppy RB clone.
Can't wait for Rock Band 4. And they are taking such a customer friendly approach if you watch their interviews. Guitar Hero and Activision though can go die in a hole. Honestly, Harmonix knows where it's at (considering they started Frequency/Amplitude, Guitar Hero, and Rock Band).
They've already said cross-compatibility will be tied to specific brands. So Xbox 360 would only be compatible with X1 while PS3 would be with PS4.
Also PS3 was just as popular as the 360 I would argue. They were neck in neck like no other systems before. I think PS3 won by a few million globally, but 360 probably had the edge in the US. This gen isn't even comparable. Its close to a 2:1 ratio and the PS4 is winning in all countries too.
I feel like it has to be an afterthought at this point. Adding things after launch tends to tamper with all of the precalculated footprints. Even the in-game XMB that we waited a few years for was far from perfect. Makes me wish more time was invested on the software front before launch. This gen has been especially weak feature-wise so far. Still great systems, but they just feel quite minimalist considering technology is moving forward and getting faster and we're seeing a relative decl...
Always do this just in case. The stores aren't always as unified as you would hope, but the browser store (even if mobile) is quite flawless.
It's funny because I've read this exact line before. Not sure where, but it definitely sounds familiar.
Probably my favourite game of last gen. I beat it like 5 times and that's a big deal for me. The most I play even my favourite games is twice. I still have only clocked one play through on TLoU, GoW3, MGS4, and Heavy Rain despite the fact that I would love to play these games again. Time constraints and stuff.
Except these remasters are just some filler sprinkled throughout the year and never a holiday period selling point. Those people on Christmas will probably buy the inevitable exclusives that release in the Fall.
Ps plus games. Not much for sales. DA is constantly on sale. Bastion sounds cool.
I think he means your tone came off incredibly sarcastic. Just read the first sentence you wrote. I could probably only see that being a legit compliment if it was a mom talking up her 8 year old kid.
Trust no one.
I know it's not a retail game but wasn't Ori technically an exclusive. It is kind of rough though since before that was probably MCC in November.
Edit: So funny that I will count indies for the xbox, yet Xbox fanboys neglect all of PlayStation's great indies.
Fighting game story cutscene:
Fighter 1: I will have vengeance!
Fighter 2: You're going down!
I'm getting sarcastic vibes. He means Microsoft is leading the way in terms of anti-consumer policies. At least they always 180 though thanks to Sony setting a precedent.
Doesn't mean improvements aren't welcome though. The environment and our resources benefit from optimization. Both are considered to be incredibly important and volatile.
