His first two EPs were genius, but since then he has gone downhill for sure. Would bury Leaving and Recess in the desert without a doubt.

Agreed I always preferred the guitar gameplay and peripherals when it came to guitar hero. But the band experience added so many more dimensions to the game. I played GH2 and 3 and was bored of the solo gameplay after that (and even just the guitar gameplay in general). Since then Rock Band has reigned supreme for me and has added some much needed variety to the formula. That and drums often require more physical skill and coordination which I enjoy. Drums on GH suck though.

I don't think guitar hero will end up innovating in ways that will lead to success though. Most of its innovations are either "borrowed" from Harmonix or are just terrible ideas in general. I also like to think the average consumer knows Harmonix is the real music game mastermind and will give gamers the bang for their buck unlike Activision. That could be wishful thinking though and Guitar Hero could have the better sales.

Maybe he found Shambala.

An improved Vita although confusion is justified since it's the 3000 and PSP 3 would be the next system. I'm wondering if this will be a Japan exclusive model or if it will be a megaton at E3 and Sony will actually try to resurrect the system avec Gravity Rush 2 and other games.

Yeah...if you do the research the PSP had far more success than the Vita for primarily two reasons: GTA and Monster Hunter. There were other factors like GoW and Square games and whatnot but those two franchises were the top sellers and really put the system on the map. Of course Nintendo swooped up MH with its Wii cash flow and Rockstar mysteriously vanished from the mobile scene.

It's really a shame because the Vita is the best handheld gaming system we've seen. Alt...

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how the form factor would handle said shoulder buttons. Maybe if they could flip in and out that would be nice.

3984d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Why they did that was beyond me. Even sloppier than the handling of the Wiimote and that Motion Plus accessory. I guess it wouldn't be the first time though. The N64 expansion slot for example and the tiny Gamecube memory cards (Animal Crossing ate a whole card). All these things trying to prevent me from gaming.

Perhaps preferential in that they were willing to cut Sony a better deal though. You know... for having the much larger install base. If this game is a success it will be good for them, especially if Star Wars VII (also this year) turns out awesome as well.

They'll definitely drop a bomb of some sort. I can't see it being anything more than a Gears reveal though. What else could it be? Banjo or Crackdown? I feel like they've tapped their third-party options. Unless they go on to purchase the entire Titanfall franchise. That could be big, but I don't see EA being down. Hmmm I'm at a loss, but I know their style and at least one bomb will be dropped. I wonder if Sony will do the same because imo marketing rights is hardly a big...

It does make the gaming year more digestible instead of having nothing all year and then maybe 3 games at the end of the year. That and they still tend to offer at least half of what the competition offers in the fall. Like 2014 was:
PS4: LBP3 and Driveclub
X1: Forza, SSO, and MCC
So a disparity of one game. Not bad. Then you factor in this year there has been The Order, MLB, and Bloodborne with no competing game like Titanfall around.
We could also factor in ...

Personally expecting a proper Ratchet reveal and release this year so that will be great news. Definitely interested to see if something else comes up from Guerilla or Santa Monica though. Also, everyone should buy Persona 5. That series deserves success more than any of the shooters we've already played in a new skin.

Plus MS likely broke the bank a bit between Titanfall and Tomb Raider. Even they have their limits and deals like that don't come cheap.

Is every character going to be a 5 dollar dlc or whatever? It feels kind of like a rip when you get the game and all of the modes and like 50 characters for $60. I guess it's fair if the character is one of your favourites. Personally would never pay for mewtwo or Lucas but maybe someone would.

The two Zeldas are all I really need on there. Paper mario, diddy Kong racing, and goldeneye would be cool too. But Mario party 2? I remember being so underwhelmed when I started that game up and it had half the content of the original game. That and cowboy hats annoy the hell out of me.

Oh he hasn't played it and that's why it's on the list. Thinking of n64 just reminds me how awesome rare used to be and then I think of that egoraptor video with rare on a chain ...

I want to say wait and see but I'm pretty put off as well. At least now the hype level is much lower and the game could surprise people.

3984d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

It's probably worth a bit more than that but I agree that these kind of games are hardly worth the standard MSRP and should retail for less. At least with an uncharted I'm getting a 12 hour campaign straight up that I can replay. With these kind of games you're getting maybe only 2 hours of varied content that you have to repeatedly replay to get any sort of value. It's apples to oranges, but I just get so bored of playing online shooters. It's fun to learn maps and perfec...

Everyone seems to me like less than half of everyone lol and yes games like bioshock and god of war never needed multiplayer modes. They were ultimately forgettable and a waste of resources that probably detracted from what the full games could have been. Ironically both games are the most mediocre iterations from each series. A correlation perhaps?

I'm in the boat that this doesn't need single player because it would suck anyway, but I'm also in the boat that th...

I also expect quick price drops as well then. Titanfall's price dropped like a rock. Saw it for $20 a few times within 6 months of release and that's in Canada. I don't see the point of needing a game at launch anyway. If anything it's gotten less appealing. Especially with regard to online games with their countless bugs and connectivity issues.
