It's just a jab if anything. Basically deja by to last generation when the Xbox crowd started this importance of having superior multiplats thing. Now PlayStation has them and the technically superior exclusives once again. It's not a big deal to me personally but it could take away a selling point for a small crowd who favour multiplatform games or play on both systems.
IMO this looks leaps and bounds cooler than DQH. Might go for the Vita version depending on how it is. Hopefully it comes West early next year.
I hope Square makes the right choice and it's at least a multiplatform between the home consoles. A PS exclusive main entry would be huge though.
I did a pre-order for a few games I knew I would get day one regardless. I primarily did this because amazon had a pre-order 3 get 30% off deal going which essentially is the same as getting one game free or paying 40 to 45 on release day which is an insanely good deal.
Same problem in Oblivion. I hated that because I didn't realize my level ups were just a joke for that reason until I hit level 12 or something.
Setting the bar with Halo 5 lol. Maybe would have back when Halo 2 came out but there are vastly superior experiences to be had in gaming now. Especially now that Bungie has been kind of scattered and 343 feels like it's losing steam rather than reinvigorating Halo or the genre.
Another thing though. The ending while good felt unsatisfying in that there was pretty much no sense of closure but just a temporary ignorance is bliss kind of situation that could easily be shaken up by the harsh and chaotic setting of the game. It felt more like a set up for a sequel than a legitimate ending. Anyone who says otherwise has been reading to many old short stories with vague endings. This was never a short story. There are still things to completely turn the story around for a ...
You hit the nail on the head. I welcome BC as much as The next gamer but in all honesty, I never ended up using it on my old playstations. I think it's just been latched on to with a hype train to counteract and nullify the hype Sony's E3 raked in. Also to make Sony look hypocritical when they say for the gamers even though Sony never made any sort of promise to have BC and MS started this whole unethical treatment of consumers to begin with.
It is if you already bought the original game or if the remaster isn't up to snuff. Regardless, all systems are guilty of this.
Man who is even agreeing with xPhearR3dx? It's the equivalent of someone saying...actually I can't even think of an analogy because nothing has actually been done like PS now in gaming yet. But calling what is essentially Netflix for games that operates on a variety of platforms as primarily backwards compatibility for PS4 is so off the mark. See reason a through j already mentioned above.
Btw I say this as someone who finds both the current PS Now and X1 BC disappoi...
To say the streaming is strictly for backwards compatibility on PS4 is really selling the concept short. As stated above, PS4 games and more will be streamed. The PS4 represents only one source of subscribers when you consider TVs and phones. And if you consider the Vita, the service almost becomes a sort of "forward compatibility" once PS4 games release (like remote play).Additionally, one is standard backwards compatibility where you must "own" the games while the other ...
First time I've seen the season pass on sale but I'll probably wait for it to be even cheaper. It still doesn't seem worth it and prices will drop like a rock when TTK releases/holiday games roll around.
This iteration in particular just takes what you would imagine to be the epitome of a Greek tragedy and just flips it on its head and blows it up. It is pretty amazing how much chaos the game is able to convey. It makes the previous two games seem trivial in scope...even though they aren't at all.
Exactly. That's why I'm interested to see if the ND Collection can continue the trend. On the one hand, it's three games, so it might be more work, but on the other hand, the games are older so it might be easier to add more to them. The list of improvements they cited on the PS blog was also pretty ambitious sounding.
...or wait. There have been rumours flying around about emulation plans for the PS4 since last year. I'm wondering if it's going to be a 2016 thing now. Either way, we should get the PSone classics back as well as more in the ways of PS2 classics, which I welcome. I do feel your pain though I just tend to use my Vita for classics now. Would prefer it on a bigger screen though since the image needs to be a square and doesn't properly utilize the space on HD screens.
Makes me feel like I could have waited another year but at the same time I'm glad my PS4 is just plain white and doesn't have Destiny written on it. After all that was hardly the reason I bought the system to begin with.
Interested to see if prime day lives up to the hype.
That and the biggest irony is that despite the wait for Sony's 3 indisputable megatons, there is also a wait for MS's only true megaton (Gears could have been great but was unfortunately really disappointing). The BC won't even be available for months and even when it is your 360 library probably won't be "fully" playable for two or three years if at all. I call hipocrisy.
Yeah I missed a couple a few years back but since I switched to using the web I've been able to get all games for all systems without a hitch. Otherwise you would have to log in on all three systems and that could be inconvenient for sure.
It's true. My fat PS3 was relatively silent whereas I could hear my friend's 360 rooms away over his TV. Even his xbox one is loud now because I think his power brick is defective and keeps making this annoying sound. My other friend's X1 doesn't have said problem.
