Retail != AAA

And while indie may usually mean cheap it only sometimes means boring. At least 10 of the free indies I have played were much better than 95% of the retail games available for PS4 and x1.

A FREE OS which is primarily a way to backtrack on all the crap they screwed up with the last Windows that people PAID for and sorely regretted. The free OS is a carrot on a stick and the fact that people think it is just some free gift and not basically what Windows 8 should have been makes me sick. They are just giving us the product they should have developed to begin with a few years late. It's an apology for sucking basically.

Pretty much the worst analogy when you consider that a free application with archaic code is now taking on a monthly fee program. It probably took a coder or two an hour to make this garbage. The majority of said time was probably spent adding the adverts. Try again.

I'm sure they've already made a killing off of the new 365 subscription programs. Now people are paying every year instead of once every 5 years or so. And yes they are paying. My whole university recently switched over to using Office 365 for e-mail. Amateurs.

You might as well make your own Solitaire program. It's the same simple code they've used since the beginning I'm sure. There's probably just some bs aesthetic differences.

The only reason it's free dude is because 8 was god awful and they basically alienated the average user by catering exclusively to touch screens and tablets. It should be free considering they made everyone pay for a downgrade.

Man I used to love watching and playing this stuff years ago. I feel like the cards and story probably got really convoluted though. Things felt like they were going downhill when they released the Pegasus deck. Could still be great fun though. I wouldn't know anymore.

I am definitely happy with Sound Shapes since I've almost bought it at full price a few times. Having a copy of Limbo on PS4 is also a bonus. Castlestorm and Lara Croft look somewhat fun. Some of my favourite plus games surprised me (like The Binding of Isaac and Rogue Legacy. Both were amazing).

I agree about getting more retail games. Something like Knack seems pretty due, but they are in no way getting beat at their own game. My Xbox friends have maybe played maybe 2 or 3 of their free games meanwhile they're buying the games I already got for free.

Ground Zeroes was already free on plus and was discounted more deeply during sales (same with every sale ever that the two services share in common... MS consistently pockets more). Games like Transistor and Rocket...

That and 4k has already been proven to be next to pointless unless you have a massive TV and sit stupidly close (like 90 inches and 6 feet). 8k is actually even a bigger waste of money since you would need a TV bigger than your wall to benefit. The human eye is too limited to notice the difference.

Yeah got it on sale for 8 bucks a few months before it came to plus but oh well. As mediocre as it was at least I didn't pay the 40 bucks or whatever the original cost was.

Wow this looks amazing in every sense. Loving the classic music and atmosphere. And town building?!

They don't even deserve it after trashing a 3/4 year old console. Sick longevity.

Biggest franchise? It's a new IP with one game so far? And Ratchet games have sold better in the past (and even reviewed better as well). I would also argue thaT Resistance is a bigger deal though SO has potential for the future.

Looks at Ratchet and Clank and Infamous fan bases on Playstation. Looks at nearly twice the install base.

I think gangbusters was a pretty appropriate term. PlayStation is about appealing to fans of a wide variety of genres and quirky games all around. While I didn't like what I saw when friend was playing it, I think it would have impressed quite a few in the PS crowd.

I for one am excited about the reboot. It looks like one of the best games they've made since Tools of Destruction. When did things go down hill? All 4 One? Too many spinoffs.

Sounds like the plot to Bates Motel lol.

Probably the best bet. I am definitely ready for something new and I'm sure Kojima is too. Who knows what kind of ideas he has pent up in his head. P.T. was amazing and that's not even his genre of expertise.

Yeah the difference is were comparing a huge multi-million selling game like TR that is obviously pupular in the West to titles that are considered more niche and have popularity globally. How could Sony be "moneyhatting" when we've already seen and heard of their contributions. They are making games possible that needed help getting off the ground. A sequel for TR was always going to be possible after the success of the reboot. The truth is MS wanted a game to temporarily comba...

From what I've read, Sony and Shibuya are helping with marketing, production, publishing and even development as well. Could be wrong about development, but the other forms of help are huge financial endeavours no matter what way you look at it. That and designating a chunk of their E3 show to publicity for the kickstarter likely boosted the fundraiser a notable amount (perhaps even by a few million of what was made). So I don't see what grounds you are downplaying Sony's contribu...
