@DragonKnight Man that's ignorant. I've seen girls verbally abused online firsthand and it's not like the abuse everyone else gets normally as its sexually oriented and happens even more frequently. A lot of the girls I know that play games just try to remain mute and anonymous for these very reasons. Maybe you just don't know any girls or are too enraged by the ridiculous sides of the feminist movement.
Yeah it's best points were presentation and story not gameplay at all really.
Or a snickers.
It was only a limited time offer. Like a trial period I guess to see if they could rake in solid numbers with different options. I'm hoping the response was positive and they bring it back. I would totally invest in a year of Now once my backlog is cut down.
I enjoyed it as well although I despised the game's discounting of logic. You could logically come to multiple conclusions and find no further evidence and then you would find out afterwards that you were wrong when you picked an ending that hadn't been proven impossible. Poor design and writing in that department but otherwise pretty cool.
It's subjective even then. Not everyone likes doughnuts. Maybe someone wants a bagel instead. That was probably a bad example, but it's still a plausible scenario.
I just picked up Rock Band 4 and that is surprisingly the most barebones game in the entire franchise. That could be an outlier though because of Harmonix and Madcatz running out of moneyz and being nearly bankrupt.
I'm still not sure how things ended up this way. Are we simply entering the corporate age of video games or has a combination of inflation and the rising cost of making games with each new generation lead to the necessity of these seemingly greedy business tactics. If it's the latter, just permanently raise triple AAA games to the $80 price point (already paying it in Canada AND wages haven't miraculously gone up or anything). If that's the decision though they better make sur...
I know they're really different, but if you're in the market for a game where you walk (float) around a lot and do very little action-wise, The Witness is more worth the price of admission.
I feel like this is the article that caused the price jump lol:
http://www.destructoid.com/...
"Even if you anticipate getting deep into Fallout 4, and I'm right there with you, there's no real incentive to pay for the pass now. It's not going to suddenly skyrocket in price."
That is some hilarious hinds...
It's more like 40% in savings. I don't know about US prices, but in CDN the fallout 4 season pass at it's "reduced" price is still up there as one of the most expensive passes to date (only behind the outrageous Battlefront price I believe). It's going up to $60 here which is close to the price of a full game. That's a little obscene considering it's not going to be nearly as valuable as say two Shivering Isles expansions. I would love for them to prove me wr...
Because the lower price is a motivation tactic and if the DLC does turn out good, the smart and cautious consumers will get gouged with prices that are not reflective of the DLC's value. It's kind of like saying this season pass is as worthwhile as Bethesda's next game (Hammerfell?).
Yeah Fallout 4 even put the FPS market to shame in sales (ironically it is part FPS). I think it was more like look at this huge install base and think of the percentage of this who will buy DLC (probably over 10%?). So it's obviously a business move and I know DLC is rarely as bang for your buck as a full-priced game, but I am interested to see how much content that third DLC pack contains because that one is the make or break one.
I feel like they just couldn't get it all in by the deadline but didn't want to throw away all of their work. The game's mostly empty overworld and lack of interesting sidequests seems to imply time constraints over generosity. There are only two real communities in the game and look at how small and lacking in characters/quests/content they are.
@yomfweeee
Dying Light and TW3. Also improved graphics and performance are pretty equivalent as both ...
So it will offer about 80 hours of content (the approx. length of F4)? Doubtful.
Buy something before you even really know what it is for a discount? I'm sorry but that's super shady and the people that condone such tactics are the reason why the gaming industry is in such a crappy place. The discount is really no different than a pre-order bonus. I really would like to say that the season pass is worth it, but the first two packs look like over-priced nonsense. Look at the $10 Hearts of Stone for an example of worthwhile DLC at that price point. A customizable ro...
They also botched Salem and many other things in the main game, so I wouldn't get too excited about Cthulhu allusions. That is probably the only worthwhile part of the DLC though. I'll pick it up for $20 on sale and leave the pass and its other content alone since it seems shallow and emphasizes the game's most repetitive and least rewarding elements (companions and settlements). Hopefully this island DLC abolishes the mistake the core game made of depending on horrible endless lo...
How is DS2? Picked up Bloodborne awhile back and have been thinking about the DS2 remaster. The fromsoftware craving is strong.
This even applies to good games. If you take a quick jaunt around VGchartz (I know it's not 100% accurate) you'll see games like GTA V selling horribly. Even after considering digital sales (which all systems have in spades now), it's safe to say that the PC is often the worst selling version by a landslide. It's definitely a combination of piracy and the lack of popularity. And I don't mean that there aren't many PC gamers. I just mean they're probably playing LoL...
I was with you for the first three paragraphs but then you somehow turned it all into fanboy propaganda and started targeting Sony. I think Capcom is the one to blame without a doubt. Just look at how they've been handling Monster Hunter...chasing the money without any significant improvements or innovations. And then there's the falling off of DMC as well as Resident Evil. If they can bring back Onimusha in style I just might forgive them for all this other rubbage.
