I have both systems, so I don't really have a dog in the fight, but I will say this...(assuming it comes out this year) The Witness for PS4 is my most anticipated exclusive for either platform in 2014. I don't care if it is considered Indy or 'smaller', it is looking as important to me as any 2014 multiplatform or exclusive, AAA or indy.
I have Guacamele for Vita, and it is awesome. I would sat it is better than any digital only game for xbox one. I am psyced I am getting the new version for free.
I am really surprised that no articles have popped up yet that Sting has been confirmed for WWE 2k15. Jim Ross confirmed it on Stone Cold's podcast that released today.
I would have considered it, but there is so much extra stuff for the PS4 on Destiny, and I had a good time in the Alpha without my friends.
I've got a PS4, an Xbox One, and an Xbox 360, and I have spent about even time on all 3 in the last 7 months:
PS4: AC4, Need For Speed, Resogun, Stick it to the Man, Flower, Watchdogs
XB1: Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Plants Vs. Zombies, Titanfall, Madden 25.
Xbox 360: Batman: Arkham Origins, Dark Souls 2, Sleeping Dogs, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Rocksmith 2014, and Fuse
In the future, Southpark...
And Madden 15, and NHL 15. I hear they will even be selling 'Ultimate Team' editions for an extra $10. I think EA will do fine.
For me, I never had a PS3 and never played the Last of Us, but I do have a PS4. With Best Buy's Game Club Unlocked, and a spare $5 dollar reward certificate, it is $35 new on release day with the pre-order incentives. From all of the positive word of mouth on the game, I am in. Looking forward to it next month.
Interesting that none of the games in the picture associated with the article are actually in the article. (Dead Rising 3 was good, and Ryse was more entertaining than I expected. No interest in the other two).
I have both systems, and I definitely plan to get Inside, Below, and Ori, and have TitanFall. I'll probably get Sunset Break, but haven't decided for sure. I want to see more about Quantum Break before I decide one way or the other. I think Fable Legends...
It did fix things, and I am back in. Wohoo!!!!
And gotta love two people disagreeing that I got hit by the bug. N4G rules.
If I can play, I'll be happy. I have been afflicted by the 90% loading bug for the last week, and haven't been able to play it.
Just an FYI, Batman isn't coming out this year.
Also, did you try the Destiny 'Alpha'? It really isn't an MMO. I'd suggest trying the Beta when it comes out, and seeing what you think.
According to an interview, the damage and health will be equalized in PVP:
“Our Crucible, moreover, is about skill,” Sussman said. “You can play a level 4 player with a level 20, and the Level 4 player can dominate because we equalise the player’s health and damage. All the perks and abilities you’ve unlocked are still there, but it really comes down to skill. That makes for a really cool experience.”
For the author's concerns:
1) Story and voice acting: First off, complaining that Peter Dinkledge sounded bored is very unfair. He is playing a robot. Just because he didn't ham it up like claptrap, doesn't mean it was a bad performance. He sounded like a robot, but did put inflection when the situation called for it...especially during the story mission when he sensed a lot of movement ahead. As for the story, I think they kept the story out of the Alpha com...
One way it doesn't...Having your game stuck on 90% loading, so you can't play it until a patch comes out.
I'm loving the Alpha...played it a lot this weekend...one last day to go. Found several cool/tough areas off the beaten path.
My only quibble with the game is that the vehicles in the moon base of level of the Crucible seem overpowered. Whoever gets in the tank type just rolls through everybody in the matches I played. I am not very good at these types of games, but I was able to be the top scorer in a few games thanks to that vehicle, and just get decimated if the ene...
I know, but I can't find anything on Bungie.net about them, so I was hoping someone actually knew what they were.
I am really enjoying the alpha so far. I found a shotgun that had a 73 attack rating, plus had a fire symbol next to it. It was one shot killing a lot of people in the crucible, and then even somehow upgraded itself to an 81 attack rating.
The thing I haven't figured out yet, is what are Grimoire cards? I have received notifications that I found a whole bunch of them, but don't know how (if its possible) to use them, where I can see them, or what they are for. Has anybody ...
I thought Peter Dinkledge did a really good job voice acting as the robot. He didn't ham it up like clap-trap. He kept it somewhat robotic, but still had personality.
I have the alpha, and played for about 2 hours this morning. I didn't do any PVP though, just did the mission (twice), and built my character. The first time through, they just kind of dropped you into the mission without explaining much, but it was fun just roaming around and figuring it out. I liked Peter Dinklidge's narration as your travelling guide/robot. Definitely felt like a mashup of Halo and Borderlands. I have used both a shotgun and a sniper rifle as my special weapon...
Right after Child of Light says hi, Guacamelee pats Child of Light on the head and tells it 'Hang in there, sport. You gave a real good effort and you're a good game. There is nothing wrong with coming in second place.'
