Ryse is a pretty good game, but very short. I personally bought it at Best Buy, new for a lot less than the $40 dollars now. BB had it on sale for $40 a few months ago, plus took 20% off for gamers club unlocked, plus I had a $5 reward certificate, so I got it on disc for $27 new. I would say the game is worth about $20 to $25 dollars. It was a perfectly adequate game.
I had an original Xbox (I still want to call it an Xbox One), and 2 Xbox 360s, but not PS2 or PS3. Now I have both the PS4 and the XB1, and I am much happier with the PS4, although, if I only had an XB1, I would probably be happy enough. But in comparison, I am much happier with the PS4, and never would have even guessed I'd have a PS4 at all a year ago.
I have both the PS4 and the XB1 and I am definitely happier with the PS4, so I can see why it is selling better. For PS4, I have AC4, Need for Speed Rivals, and the PS+ games of Resogun, Contrast, Don't Starve, and Outlast, plus my son and wife play Lego Marvel. On XB1, I have Ryse, Dead Rising 3, the Titan Fall beta, the Killer Instinct 'Demo', and my son has Madden. I just think for the games I have, the PS4 games are better...they play better and the graphics are crisper. Th...
I don't have much to add, but I am really excited for this game. Should be awesome.
We know Secret Ponchos, Binding of Isaac, and Drive Club will all be games sometime this year for PS+. I expect that Knack probably will be a PS+ game. I would say Killzone is less than 50/50 for this year. I would say that Tomb Raider and Injustice are well under 50/50 for this year. Doki Doki Universe, who knows? Still. I would expect 2 or possibly 3 disc based games at the most would make PS+ this year. I would expect the rest to be Indie style games. But, time will tell...
I have both a PS4 and an Xbox One, so I really don't have a dog in the fight between the two consoles. I had planned on skipping Titanfall (even though I think it looks intriguing), because I generally avoid competitive multiplayer shooters ( and competitive multiplayer in general). The only competitive shooter I truly loved was Brink, which was specifically marketed for people who weren't into the normal competitive shooters. I am absolutely sure that 95% of the people in this dis...
They did say it would be on PS+, but they didn't say when it would come out, other than it would be PS+ in the first year of the PS4. There was nothing to indicate it would be March.
I don't have a PS3 (and didn't have a PS2, either), but now I have both PS4 and XB1, so I missed out on TLOU. I would definitely get a GOTY version of it. I'd rather have that than use Playstation Now to stream it.
Looking back, I got it in early December. Toys R'us had a 1 day, 20% off accessories deal, they were giving out $10 store credits on Black Friday for that particular week, plus they had an Amex deal at the time where if you spent over $30 they would give you back 5 dollars off. Wound up getting it for $25 plus tax. Never imagined people would be paying $150 for it less than 2 months later.
The decision to not include the camera was made well before they started making the units, so the fact that it had been considered for being included isn't relevant to the supply.
I bought one at release, and barely ever use it (mostly keep it unplugged because the camera can't have the microphone turned off, but I hear that will be corrected in tonight's firmware release). I had no idea it was hard to find these days until I read this article just know. I find it really surprising!
Nice! My son and I will play together!
This is just after The Witness as my second most anticipated Indie game. The artwork is amazing, the space is huge, the enemies have personalities, and it pays homage to the anime space stories from my youth. I was a huge fan of Star Blazers in 1980, and this definitely has some of that in it. Can't wait!
I am curious how many of the people who are complaining about what he said about the indies actually watched what he said in the Bonus Round interview. He was very complimentary to the games, and said how much he liked them and how fun they were, and how happy he was that those experiences were available on consoles as well as PCs. He really had a very positive vibe overall about the indie games, but thought they were too small to be GOTY compared to the big releases.
Couldn't someone do the same thing by collecting trophies from easy games?, making the number of trophies a meaningless number as well?
I spent the last two generations on Xbox only. I don't have a PS2 or PS3. so right now, I only have two people on my PSN friends list, and they are complete strangers to me. All of my real life friends that play games (and have a next gen system) have an XB1, and I have a bunch of XBox people on my friends list that I don't know as well. I don't mind playing with strangers occaisionally in something like ACIV Wolfpack, Gears Horde Mode, etc. But if I am going to do a whole co...
Personally, I have both the PS4 and the XB1. My plan on buying XB1 games is: If it is an XB1 exclusive or a multiplatform - multiplayer game that I want to play with my friends (or my son wants to play with his friends), we'll go buy it for XB1. If it is a PS4 exclusive, or a multiplatform single player game, or a multiplatform multiplayer game that I don't care if I play it with my friends, then I'll go with the PS4 version.
I want to play the Division with ...
Some cool games on this list, but my personal list:
The Witness
Galak-Z
Octo Dad
Daylight
Everyone has gone to Rapture (in the list)
Rime (In the list)
There are plenty of other good indies coming as well.
So I installed the disc version of Dead Rising 3 today. It took about an hour (It took 20 minutes to reach 'Ready to Start', but another 40 minutes to finish). Did it download the patch as well? I couldn't figure out if I still need the patch, and if so, how I get the patch to download. I am not sure if I am up-to-date.
2007 didn't make the list, or even the honorable mentions?
I believe 2007 was:
Bioshock
Portal
Mass Effect
Assassin's Creed
Call of Duty Modern Warfare
Uncharted
Rock Band
Guitar Hero 2
among others. Hard to pass that year up!
