Unfortunate for them. If it had come out this summer, it would not have had much next generation competition. Coming out in February, it will have to compete against all of the holiday games from this year, plus Witcher 3, and probably some more games that we don't even know of yet. It would have sold better this summer than it will in February next year.
While I do agree that it is a bad move for them to require PS+ active for something you paid for, I was under the impression the game wouldn't be worth much without PS+ anyways. I thought it was basically a multiplayer game anyways.
For me, it is an even bigger issue that they want $50 for an upgrade of cars and tracks. That is WAY too much. That should be $10 or $20 maximum. I have gamers Club unlocked from Bestbuy. The whole game is cheaper to just buy it as a rele...
I've got the PS4 and XB1.
Between the two, I have bought retail releases: Titanfall (EA), Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare (EA), Assassin's Creed IV (Ubisoft), Dead Rysing 3 (Capcom) Ryse (Microsoft?), Need For Speed: Rivals (EA), Madden 25 (EA, still doesn't work right btw), and Lego Marvel (Warner).
Thats 4 out of 8. I have planned on getting Killzone and Infamous, but haven't gotten around to them yet, but even with them, I would ha...
I didn't have the PS2 or PS3...last two generations I had Xbox, so I have never played an Uncharted game (other than the vita version, but I sure hope and expect that a full uncharted game is better than the Vita one!) Anyways, I would like to play Uncharted, but I don't consider it a must for this year.
This year, I want Watch Dogs, Destiny, Dragon Age, The Order, Lords of The Fallen, The Crew, Shadows over Mordor, Assassin's Creed Unity, and Arkham Knight plu...
This isn't news. This is olds. We knew about the release date and Best Buy preorder bonus of 10 dollars in rewards for several months.
Personally, I would rather hit my thumb with a hammer than watch The Big Bang Theory with its fake laughter and lame jokes, so I really don't care who they pick.
There were some really strange things in this article:
"For next generation the game doesn’t deliver much. It’s charging gamers $90 and doesn’t even deliver what most FPS do."
--WHAT!!!! Where is this game $90? I spent $28 for Ryse, and Best Buy offered me a new copy of TitanFall on release day for my used copy of Ryse, straight up. Even if most people couldn't get in on a deal like that, I don't see anybody charging $90.
Best looking is very subjective. Ryse had very good imagry, but the animation/movement was not good at all in my opinion. I think Infamous is the best looking game so far in the new generation, personally.
I think that might be overstated. There are a few people I trust that I listen to and I care about their opinions. I still may get something that someone I trust didn't like, if I really wanted it. But if I was 50/50, and people I trust said it was bad (take Thief for example), I wouldn't get it.
The people I trust actually said Ryse was good, so I wound up getting it, when I had been on the fence. I am glad I got it (I got it new for under $30). I had fun and...
I live in the U.S., and I definitely couldn't connect around 4:30 in the afternoon. It was constantly sayind "Cannot connect to server." It may not have affected everyone, but the issue did affect some in the U.S.
That is purely a guess though. You really have no idea what the chances are of him being in the game. You are assuming that because he isn't on TV that he won't be in the game. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. If WWE/2k decide they want him in the game, he will be in the game, even if he never appears on TV again. Personally I have no idea whether he won't be in the game, but I wouldn't write an article stating his chances of being in the game without actually knowing how...
None of that has anything to do with his status in WWE 2k15. Whether he gets put in the game has a lot more to do with WWE owning the rights to his character during the development period, and if they want to put him in there. Remember, Hulk Hogan was in TNA when WWE put him in the WWE arcade game a couple of years ago...because they had contractual rights to do so.
Yes, Punk isn't on tv, and yes he might not ever come back to WWE, but without researching or any input...
This "article" contains nothing but speculation from someone with no inside information or research whatsoever. The author showed zero auctual knowledge about C.M. Punk's status, and merely based his guess on what he has seen on tv.
It may well turn out that Punk won't be in WWE 2k15, but this "article" isn't worth the paper it is printed on.
For the record...I never planned on buying Titanfall, but I did have an Xbox 360, an Xbox 1, and a PS4. I have live through 2016 (and PS+ through mid 2016 as well), and have never paid more than $35.00 for XB Gold in the 7 years I have had an Xbox 360. So I don't think it is fair to say that the cost of Live is as expensive as quoted, or to include it as the price of this specific game.
Bestbuy put a deal where we can trade in any used Xbox game and get Titanfall for ...
By the way...I just went to my local Best Buy. They gave me $45 in trade (plus another 10% for GC Unlocked) for Ryse, and didn't even make me use it for Titan Fall or anything else. They just put it on a gift card, no questions asked.
I bought Ryse at BB for $28 dollars. Thought it was allright, but I am done with it. I'll trade it in for $45 towards Titanfall (It is only $48, plus $10 reward certificate. Good deal!
I am personally definitely a newb when it comes to competitive first person shooters. The only one I ever enjoyed was Brink, because it was very newb friendly, didn't emphasize kills as much as helping your team complete missions, and didn't have any one shot kills, and several other reasons as well. I know most people didn't like Brink and I accept that, but I loved it.
Anyways, when I first started playing the Titanfall beta, all I was doing was the vanquish...
@eonjay,
I was under the impression that it doesn't matter if you have the disc or the download code, it takes the same amount of space on your hard drive. As far as I know, it installs the game to the disc either way, and only checks that the disc is in the drive, but doesn't use the files on the disc while you play.
I have had Need for Speed: Rivals crash on me 4 times, I think. My son had Lego Marvel crash 3 times. As far as I know, only one crash has been since the patch. Never had any corrupted saves, though. I just had to re-open the app, and lost all data since the save, but the saves still worked.
Proud of my fellow Tigers! Got my bachelor's and master's there.
