I am just playing Hotline Miami on Vita now, thanks to PS+. At first I really didn't get it. The graphics didn't grab me, and the gameplay seemed so simple. Slowly it has been getting its hooks into me, and now it has completely got me. The article mentions secrets, and there is a mask that says it reveals secrets, but I haven't really found any secrets that I know of. I'll have to keep my eyes out. But I am digging this game, and will definitely get Hotline Miami 2 for ...
Before the PS4 came out, I would often say I expected the remote play to work well in the home, but was very skeptical about it working over the internet. I have to say, at least in my experience, my skepticism was unfounded. I tried out remote play over Thanksgiving using the following setup: My PS4 was wired directly to my router and set to standby. My internet connection gets download speeds of 40-50 MBS and upload speeds of 30 MBS. I travelled to my mom's house about 100 miles aw...
A year ago, Amazon had the limited edition white Vita, which came with Assassin's Creed Revelations and a 4 GB card, with a bonus of PS Allstars and a 3 month PS+ subscription, for about the same price. I jumped all over that deal, and haven't regretted it. THis is definitely the only deal I have seen comparable in the last year. Don't let it slip by you if you don't own a Vita.
Today, I used the PS4 outside of the entertainment center, and I am happy to see it ran much cooler today. The loud fan never needed to kick in, and the side with the hard drive didn't feel even warm, let alone hot, so it isn't the hard drive causing the heat, it was keeping it in an entertainment center. For now on, the PS4 will run just out on the floor instead of in the cabinet.
Now I need to figure out what I will do with the Xbox One. That was also going to be...
I haven't tried anything like that. I just started it on saturday, and have a lot to figure out. The last mission I tried was the first mission where I used a Mod, even though I have a bunch of them.
I still need to figure out how a lot of the behind the scenes things like fusions and transmutations, etc. work, too.
If you enjoyed Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, I highly suggest this game. It feels very similar to that, but on a much bigger scale.
Yes, the PS+ version will still be the same thing it was planned to be and free, just whenever it releases instead of launch day.
@Transporter,
I actually do have it flat. But it is in a pretty enclosed aspace in my entertainment center. I also replaced the hard-drive with an HGST Travelstar 5K1500 1.5TB 2.5-Inch Mobile 5400 RPM hard drive. Not sure if it is one of those two things or both that is raising the temp.
My PS4 runs pretty hot. So much that I am debating taking it out of the entertainment center. The fan is pretty noisy when it comes on. If yours doesn't get hot, maybe you don't have to worry about the fan.
I have both, but am not opening the XB1 until Christmas (surprising the family), so I can't really talk about it yet.
For the PS4, I am loving it, and bear in mind, I have yet to play a game I paid for. I have only played Resogun, Warframe, and Contrast. Love Resogun and Warframe, and Contrast has its ups and downs (I like the mood and art style, but the controls feel really sloppy). I haven't tried remote play over the internet, but in my home, it works phenomenal...
I haven't used my Xbox One controller (giving it to the family as a Christmas present), but I really like the DS4. I don't have an issue using the sticks lined up or offset, so that is a wash.
I did get a lot of hate several months back saying I thought that if developers can be creative, the speaker in the controller could be a major feature, but I still stand by it. I already am digging it without any really creative uses yet, just hearing 'Save the Last Human...
Just started playing it today. I really liked it! It did have a feel like Mass-Effect 3's multiplayer, except more mission based and less Horde based. There is a lot I really don't understand yet (upgrading, currency, powers, and more are all still a mystery), but hopefully that will come with time playing.
So far, I have only played Resogun, Contrast, and Warframe on the PS4 and I am enjoying my time on it. I have AC4 and Need For Speed that I will open for the h...
Incidently, if you buy this 3 pack (which is already 10% the cost of the 3 games individually, you also get a $10 credit for a future purchase on the Playstation digital store through Amazon.

Its not that big a jab, but I will be stunned if, at minimum, Shu doesn't send a similar tweet to Major Nelson/Microsoft like Major did last week.
I am getting both systems, and not really interested at the shots either company takes at the other, but mild ones like this don't bother me so much from either side.
I have had PS+ since January of this year when I got my Vita. I don't have a PS3, but I probably have 30-40 games or so for the PS3 it seems. I have been saving them all year, just in case I ever get a PS3. I got a PS4, but had Contrast and Resogun before I even opened the box.
I got the same one. Came in the mail today. I'll install it over the weekend. Glad to hear it works well!
On PS4 this weekend, I downloaded and installed Resogun, Warframe, and Contrast combined in about 20 to 30 minutes.
I think the Xbox will be just as quick on ym system. Fortunately I have 40+ download and 30+ upload speed through my Fios, so as long as the networks are stable, all should be well.
@gribblegrunger
I thought the expected failure rate number from Sony was 0.4%, not 0.04%.
That is one out of every 250, as opposed to one out of every 2,500.
Put this in the other Amazon thread, But I'll put it here as well.
For what it is worth, I got a PS4 with Lego Marvel shipped in the same box from Amazon. I wasn't planning on opening the shipment until my birthday in a couple of weeks, but I decided to open it this morning just to make sure everything was ok after reading articles like this. There was bubble packaging on top but none underneath or on the sides of PS4. I video recorded my unboxing and setup incase the...
For the record:
1) Plenty, if not the VAST majority, of PS+ subscribers don't complain.
2) If you are new to PS+ having switched from XBox360 to PS4, then most of the games available each month are meaningless to you. You were also promised a game for PS4 each month, starting with Driveclub on release. Driveclub was delayed so they gave us Contrast and Resogun as compensation for breaking that promise. If no game comes in December, you have basically p...
