Not sure if you are joking or not, but in case you don't know, the expression running in hot isn't really about temperature....its more like when an airplane is getting ready to land but it is moving too fast, they say it is coming in hot. It means there could be a crash landing when the plane touches down.
I don't have a PS3, but I've got a Vita and preordered a PS4. I have to say, I like every game they are offering this month for each system. I already own Soul Sacrifice, Binary Domain (360) and Dragon's Dogma (360), but psyched for Odd World (played it back in the day on the original Xbox), Contrast and Resogun! This month alone would be worth a year's subscription to PS+ if I had a PS3 along with the other systems I have or will get.
I am not that concerned about the external storage, but that is because I am buying a 1.5 tb hard drive to replace the original.
I am more upset about the lack of mp3 support. When I play games that have rock soundtracks (particularly racing games), I generally don't like their music. I want my own music as the soundtrack. But I don't want to subscribe to that service, I just want to play what I already own. We can do that in the current gen (at least on XB360 w...
@ Gozer
It was not an exclusive from the get-go. It was just never announced as coming to the PS4. When Geoff Keighly asked the people at respawn if it would never be on PS4 at E3, the response was "We are only talking about launch right now." That means it wasn't always an exclusive. Just a launch exclusive.
That being said, it doesn't mean PS4 was entitled to get Titan Fall, or that it is a disgrace. EA has the right to publish wher...

When playing disc-based games on PS4, do I need to install data to the hard drive?
Yes, all PS4 Blu-ray Disc games must be cached to the hard drive to ensure a smooth gaming experience. However, certain titles may not require you to wait for the game data to be fully cached before starting gameplay. In order to start playing disc-based games, users will need to insert the game disc into PS4 just like on the PS3 system....
My 9 year old son was asking me about building/ making our own computer, but I've never built one before. I was thinking about making that a project for him and I to do together. Is this really all you need? How hard is it to put together after you get all of these items?
I figured this was a recent development. At E3, when asked if it would ever come to PS4, he said "We are only talking launch right now." He fully expected Titan Fall on PS4. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just done in the last few weeks.
Still, it wasn't a game I would have bought anyways. I am not into competitive multiplayer, and that is the only mode in this game.
"Shuhei Yoshida also confirmed that the game discs on launch will not come with the 1.50 update and hence it can only be downloaded online from the servers directly on the PlayStation 4 or from the PlayStation website to be updated via the external storage method. It is also worth mentioning that you don’t really need the Day One 1.50 update in order to play on the PlayStation 4."
@badz149
ummm....I have a Vita but I don't have a PS3 or PS2, so I have never played God of War 1 or 2 (I did play God of War Chains of Olympus on my Vita and loved it). So it certainly isn't redundant for me.
How does Warframe play? Also, can you play through ti without having to buy things or is purchasing things in the game necessary?
I can understand calling the PS+ games free to an extent, because the author at least admitted you have to pay for PS+. But calling Flower, Flow, Sound SHapes, and Escape Plan free is a major reach. It is like saying "If you bought them already, they are free."
And @pedrof93, I actually have a PS4 preordered, but don't have any games preordered. I did preorder Watchdogs, but we know what happened with that. At first, I'll just stick with PS+ and free game...
So if you rate every game a 7/10 or higher except for Crimson Dragoon, how do you give the show a 6/10?
That is why I wory about Sony's Gaikai plans and remote play on the Vita over the internet. If there is too much latency, you can't play most games properly. We'll have to see if they found a way to fight latency.
"Sony has revealed its plans for Gaikai to provide backwards compatibility to PS3 games via Cloud streaming for the PlayStation 4."
So... the author considers saying they will stream some games at some point, without saying when the plan will start, how much it will cost, how the plan will work (subscription ala netflix/pay per game/ etc.), which games will be available, or even if it will work well, as revealing their plans? I would consider it not revealing their...
A mixture of both. The big retail games that I want will be in store purchases, but games that I kind of want but hold off on until they get a really nice sale on PS+ or are free would go that route. I plan on upgrading to a 1.5 TB hard drive for more space.
Its not really for flipping between games. It is for when you need to leave your game really quickly, but haven't had a chance to save, and I absolutely will use it. That said, it isn't a deal breaker that it was delayed, but I will be upset if we don't get it fairly soon.
They actually said "The next generation experience is turning out to be as much hype as HDTV was. Just exactly how much difference can you really notice, side by side? "
THe difference between SD and HD is HUGE! I can'r believe they thought HDTV is hype.
An embargo (in this type of case) is the following:
A company sends out their games early to several journalists for review, so they can try out the games and have time to write their reviews. In order to be permitted early access to the game, the journalists must sign an agreement stating they will not reveal any facts or information about the game until a specific time. That silence agreement is called a review embargo.
I am buying a PS4 at launch, but I am worried about Gaikai. I don't expect it to work well enough to play lag free, and I don't expect remote play to work lag free outside of the home. I am also concerned about the dearth of launch games. I'll have to deal with the Free 2 Play games and my son's getting Madden. Maybe I'll bite the bullet and buy Ac4 or Killzone, but those weren't in my plans 2 weeks ago. Still, long term, I expect the games to be awesome.

I am switching from Xbox 360 to PS4, and for me part of the value is that I value what I will get from PS4 more than I value what I get from Xbox Gold. That being said, I don't think it is really fair to compare Games with Gold to PS+. Games with gold is a small part of Gold. The real point of gold is the network. As I said, I don't have a PS3, but I hear the network doesn't work as well as Xbox Live's network. Download speeds/ match making, etc. Plus Gold gives you acces...
