The RROD has done so much damage to the 360, these little things won't make any difference. I'd have a 360 right now if it wasn't for the RROD. Despite arguably better games (arguably, based on reviews and because of the longer development time) RROD is the very reason the ps3 is surging ahead instead of being dead in the water.

No.

the 360 will sell more games, because of its much bigger fanbase in the part of the world where gta is popular and get a bigger slice of the ps360 owner pie, but gta is much more likely to sell a greater number of consoles for the ps3 with the bundle.

Also yes. Sony and Microsoft need to get a share of the motion-sensory casual gamers. Think about it... all these third-party games are coming out for the Wii because its popular, and they're easy to make. So why not port them to the other two systems for even more profit? Lack of motion controls.
I have no desire to see this become a big thing for the ps3 and 360, but it seems pretty obvious that they could very easily cut wii exclusives in half, undermine its success, pick up more c...

The difference between music&movies and games is that there are programs that can just re-record music&movies. Its like using a tape recorder while a cd plays, you can make it copy-proof easily enough. With games, it is a much more complicated process. Its doable, ofcourse, but nowhere as easy. That's one of the reasons why the movie and music industrys aren't going anywhere, and the game industry is booming.

Think of all the big games that have come to ps3/360 that HAVENT come to the wii, like assasin's creed, call of duty 4 or gta, devil may cry.... those are HUGE games. There are tons of big "exclusives" that the wii isn't even getting, while games for the wii, like Zack and Wiki or Nights, come out for the wii only because of the control scheme, or these games come out for both the ps2 and the wii. I think that's why Sony and Microsoft are both working on getting motion controllers l...

I've always liked the playstation games more then the nintendo ones, besides FF4 and FF6, which both rocked.
FF7 will always have a special place in my heart because it was the first one I played, and is still, by far my favorite.
Cecil is my favorite character, FF8 was absolutely incredible at points(giant spider chase?) but it got really dull at others, the tropical feel of FF10 was great, and FF12 was just plain massive. Its too bad how long they're making us wait for 13 hu...

The thing about Final Fantasy... western reviewers generally don't like jrpgs. They still do decently (B+ to A-) range, but its common to see criticism like "random encounters?" or "cliche plot" but that's just how jrpgs are. secondly, final fantasy has sold 80 million copies, number 4 as far as video game series go. Lastly, FF has a huge folllowing, in Japan and the states. People buy consoles just to play these games.

I don't get what's going on. Did breakfast suddenly decide that he/she only wanted to post once per news post?

Edit: @Breakfast
That really doesn't clarify things at all.

You know, that really makes sense. I get the feeling that Sony wants everything spread out. April, May, June each have big ps3 exclusives coming (atleast in the U.S.) not to mention GTA. It seems like the surprises at E3 and Home will tide us over for July before the big waves of holiday hits come, and give them enough time to make Home perfect.

considering how much hype the other main players this quarter have been getting... gta, mgs, haze, mario kart, wii fit, it may get lost in the crowd. Although, with a relatively quiet summer (anything other than Ninja Gaiden?) a delay to july might be prudent. Its not like Silent Hill/ Resident Evil 5 are coming anytime soon.

Well, supposedly this "exclusive content" may be as large as San Andreas. Whether this is true or not, I have no idea, but its been speculated by even people at rockstar.
And the thing about a bundle... it helps software companies as much as hardware companies. Think about it... you want to buy a console and you've never even heard of GTA, but you buy the bundle anyway, that's one more unit of GTA sold. Sony did it with MGS4 to scratch Konami's back, moreso than the other wa...

I didn't hear about the madden news. What happened to their exclusive agreement with the NFL that said that their games had to come out on all platforms (which I assumed included the personal computer)?

I can see the practical implications of a casual myspace-mmorpg, but I really disagree with this whole thing. Blizzard is a business. 150 million dollars in subscription fees every month sounds pretty damn successful to me. They ARENT targeting that big of an audience, they're targeting the people who are willing to spend 15 dollars a month for a encompassing online video game experience.

There was a news article a while back that said in order to develop a game and prepare eno...

I really feel like all these IPs have just gotten nowhere, and have been crushed under the pressure of Final Fantasy. Mana has seen one version per console for a few generations, and even the widely acclaimed Chrono Trigger hasn't had a sequel in almost a decade. Usually I'm anti-sequels, but Square doesn't reuse characters or settings, just the general aspects of their games.

Oh, and an Einhander sequel would make me a happy man.

I know I might be a minority, but I liked the resistance single player MUCH better than GoW. There is no denying that chainsaw guns were badass, butI just happened to like R:fom more. considering Resistance 1 was a launch title, Insomniac's first fps like this (rather than having a pedigree of shooter games) and they have so much more experience now, I'm going to bet on the underdog this year.

Its cheap journalism.Nothing new, no new pictures or videos... With actual video footage coming tomorrow, this is a waste of time.
