Yeah, its strange. This is the second article I've seen this morning that has completely ignored GT, which was, what, the second best selling series last generation, only behind GTA? Only the second best selling series, whatever, its nothing big.

I don't think they're actually going to pass up on a Madden 2009, I think the guy who posted the article is just saying that by skipping a year to make improvements, something that it'll bring the game a long way.
When EA can make a dime, they will. Unlockable content that's already in the game... for a price. Crummy sports games every year. Trying to buy out Take Two right before it releases the biggest selling game all year (I know its debatable, but look at past GTA sales). Let it go, EA sucks, stop buying their games.
Why the hate? AAA means the game needs to average in the high 90s for reviews and have massive sales. Neither of them broke the 1 million sales mark in the united states, and both averaged in the high B range. I never said they weren't good games. All I'm saying is that they are no Mario, no Super Smash Brothers, no Metal Gear Solid, no Halo.
Edit: Did this game really sell that well in Japan? It always surprises me that anything nintendo sells 4x as well over there.
there is a clear difference between a good game, and a AAA game. Animal crossing is no AAA title.

I thought the same thing! The epic feel, and color scheme definitely reminded me of Shadow of the Collosus, and I was really hoping it was an Ico Team game.
Oh, I get it now. Its just the going trend, many third party games end up on both. Orange box, Unreal Tournament 3, Eternal Sonata, were 360 games that ended up/ will end up on the ps3. Its no mystery that there were just MORE ps2 exclusives to lose, and that the ps3 had a very criticized start that was begging for losing third-party support. Don't be surprised if more and more third-party games from both sides go multiplatform.

I can't believe they left out Resistance, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Devil May Cry, Oblivion, Motorstorm, Heavenly sword, Tekken 5 DR ect ect. I guess its opinion, but leaving out Resistance is just mind-boggling.

I wish the members of insomniac would clone themselves and develop more series of games. Imagine a world where games are released on time all the time, where all games are A quality or better, and a company that is independant and listens to its fans, and good to its employees.

3. Call of Duty 4 / Oblivion/ Devil May Cry (the only three REALLY good games that have a superior or atleast equal ps3 version)

any other ideas? Pixel Junk Monsters, Heavenly Sword and Folklore have a chance, but besides those I can't really think of any that could make the list.
Why has everyone overlooked the fact that they have Rare at their disposal? I don't know the details of who has licenses to what, but considering they've made Killer Instinct, Perfect Dark, Conker, Jet Force Gemini among others, there are definitely characters that could make a appearance in this hypothetical game.

first of all, the ps3 is only outselling the 360 slightly IN THE US. its been killing the 360 pretty much everwhere else, except for maybe the U.K., for the last year. Secondly, the console shortage for the 360 is only happening in the united states, not in u.k. so that's merely an anecdote.
And as far as delays... what do you think has more chance of being delayed... Gran Turismo 5:P, Metal Gear Solid, which was ready last year, but kojima wanted to put on fini...
