So MANY rpgs that need to pop up again. I feel like we see certain games, mostly snes era, redone all the time, but ps1 era needs some love. PS1 was definitely my personal favorite console for rpgs. If you're going to remake games for handhelds, do it for consoles too, because a lot of us don't have a practical use for a handheld.
Chrono Cross, Suikodens, Star Ocean, Saga Frontier, Legend of Mana, Lunar, Ogre Battle Series, Xenogears, Vanguard Bandits... my list goes on and on,...
I know people love the wii controller, but Capcom really is losing its integrity with the constant flood of ports, version re-hashes, and sequels. Its not like you can't play the gamecube version of RE:0 already.
@ Sonarus
A lot people are worried that this will hurt the integrity of the series. Rumors have been circulating about how there will be no blood or fatalities in this game, and quite frankly, what is Mortal Kombat without it? I was a big fan of Friendships, Animalities, Brutality, Stage Fatalitys, and Babyalitys, but they've been trimming it down for a while, and it might just get worse here with all the licensing conflicts.
Remember the uproar that happened wi...
Kojima just has incredibly high standards. This is taken wayy out of context. He had a vision, and the canvas just wasn't there yet. Maybe next generation, it'll be perfect, but it doesn't say anything negative about the ps3, only about our generation of gaming.
@Pirate
I understand what you're saying. Basically, that the people who were Nazis weren't evil, just most of its ideas, right?
That is understandable, but to say that history is determined by the winners has nothing to do with good and evil. War is bad, sure, but its inevitable, and sometimes killing millions in war is the lesser evil to alienation of human rights, and genocide of millons of innocents. You could definitely argue about the use of the Atom bomb, which MAN...
Considering that as of this March, the ps3 in North America has not had a big exclusive out in three months, paramount and universal have yet to release any blu-ray movies, STILL no xmb or home and Sony was a no-show at GDC, they should not be this close to the 360 in the U.S. They've made the smart decision with a gta bundle, have some huge huge titles coming out this year, and more. Shouldn't be a bad year for them at all. Unless we see some major changes in the 360's plan, March is much m...
Rockstar has explicitly mentioned how dvd limited them on GTA. Sure, the guy is obviously trolling, but that doesn't change that fact.
Red steel still gives me nightmares.
It really bothers me. Nintendo has no shortage of talent, but they rely too heavily on the same three series. I want to see some more creativity !
now if the ps3 could only get the damn split-screen that the 360 is getting, it would turn this game from a rental to a purchase.
GTA is expected to have a 400 million dollar first week. It'll be a huuuge launch. Selling a company before a cashcow like that would just be a bad idea.
Maybe HE'S not "trembling in anticipation" but I sure am. MGS, Star Ocean 4, Timesplitters 4 and FF13 are really the only games I'm anticipating more, although those are all proven franchises.
@Pirate
Evil is still evil. Today, April 17th, 2008, The Pope at his first public mass in the United States mentioned the injustices of genocide of Native Americans and ill-treament of blacks as marks on American history. Did the Native Americans win any major war with the United States? No, yet humanists now still take their side, evil is still evil.
Well, the general idea is that Nazis were inhuman, mechanized and the closest thing we will get to purely "evil". Killing South Americans in Uncharted is purely racist, but killing Nazis in Wolfenstein is justice. The moment we turn killing Nazis into killing Germans, that's where it gets messy again. I think that's the idea.
Yeah, sounds about right. What else do they have, Killer Instinct? And that's owned by Rare these days, right?
The article only mentions that the manual says it. It seems like it would be unreasonable for the download to be 1.9 gb and the installed blu-ray to be 5.9. Maybe its a typo? Anyone know for sure?
Because in the Middle East all the money from oil tycoons trickles down to the poor people living in poverty and substandard housing.
All things considered, Sony is doing quite well. Who would have thought a "600 dollar console with no games and crummy online" would have sold this well? Sony's strategy IS long term, and if you don't like it, fine, but I'd rather that than 4 year consoles. It may not win all the way, but Sony seems to have done everything... they won the format war, it looks like there are some incredible games coming, and the ps3 has ridiculous functionality and its console will be reliable.
@Dan
Lookbehind is not talking about GTA, he's just making a random reference to the RROD.
I personally thought Champions of Norrath was pretty decent. There was a pretty large variety of weaponry, wasn't there?
