VGchartz is a pretty poor source until they've had a chance to correct their own estimate numbers via monthly NPD and other published Japanese, Uk and Europeans sales sources.

It looks like an interesting game. I thought it was a long way of though?

I bet the people at Naughty Dog would hire Carmack in a heartbeat if they could get him, and I suspect they look down on you silly ignorant PS3 fanboy types and the obnoxious idiotic stuff you post with a sad sense of disgust and contempt. I bet they think Rage looks and runs amazing and are proud of Carmack for his role in it and looking forward to Doom 4.

Because unlike the typical N4G nerd herd Naughty Dog is not made up of angry, small minded, dishonest bitter, little i...

This comments page right here is why N4G is considered such a deranged irrelevant festering crap pit of ignorant delusional stupidity and furious crybaby drama. Carmack is still awesome and you slobbering idiots are nothing whatsoever but silly.

John Carmack vaguely suspecting something based on the merest hunch is worth about ten million of you being absolutely sure of anything. He knows his stuff and you know absolutely jack squat.

That's why HE'S a multi-millionaire and chief tech officer of iD software, a major consultant in the 3d graphics industry who works on AAA games on both consoles and the PC, and gets huge press.

Meanwhile you are a silly, know nothing, ankle biting whiner with a...

If gamers were actually consistently buying what the author claims they want would there really be a problem to complain about? Gamers are buying what they want most of the time, and Publishers are hiring devs to make it. This is nothing but a small group of gamers assuming that their desires somehow represent the true desires of all gamers despite all of the massive evidence to the contrary.

Okay, so I pay for access to Sony's "server" by buying the game new, and then I SELL the game to a guy named Ray and Ray plays online and I don't play online anymore because I no longer have the game and....uh...that raises Sony's cost for maintaining a "server" slot...HOW exactly ? How does transfering the game to someone else cost Sony more to keep it online?

Okay, so you supposedly don't care about sales and you come to an NPD thread that is about sales to announce that? WTF? How does that even work? You should go on a lacrosse forum and tell everyone that you don't care about lacrosse too.

That's a long wait. Geeze Vigil.

So PGR4 was a sim? LOL!

Origin is so creepy. I hated the idea because this is the publisher who has been shutting down online servers for games, some of which are less than three years old, and who are trying to sell Madden and FIFA as a subscription. It's named for a company that EA bought, mismanaged, and dismantled.

Actually lots of people who worked on Halo have moved on from Bungie since Halo came out. Halo 2, 3, ODST, and Reach were not made by most of the people who worked on Halo. Bungie expanded a great deal since MS bought them and there was also some turnover when they left MS to go independent again. They've hired some new people since they started working on their new IP. Nothing is static.

The ONLY real concern I have about Bungie vs. 343 Industries is the lack of Marty O...

The gods aren't really that impressive in God of War though. They seem like something Spider-man or a basic ninja could take out. They are bitches in video game terms. If you fight a low end Zeus and win that's not that big of a deal.

I don't consider the VTOL bit much of a chapter. It's five minutes of poor controls and tedium.

Subscriptions generally do not follow the rate of inflation. Monetary Inflation is generally measured in a basket of durable and consumable goods. Demand based inflation happens when scarcity makes a price go up temporarily. Inflation is not a uniform increase in all pricing.

And obviously the annual price of a live subscription DID go up from $50 to $60. That is called a 20% price hike.

I have a PS3, a Wii, and a 360 and I think it's hilarious that someone thinks that Mod Nation Racers, White Knight Story 2, and Yakuza have me all hot and bothered. I barely care about them.

I also think the idea that God of War III blows away Skyrim is pretty bizarre. I only got God of War 3 because of a gamestop trade in deal that let me unload NFS:Shift and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for $20 off. I had enough God of War with 2 and preferred Bayonetta because it was ri...

Actually the network upgrade costs are pretty trivial for cable operators at least. They are nowhere NEAR peak bandwidth crippling their service. Caps are a cheesy money grab. They promised you all you can eat internet at a certain speed for around $40 a month to get you in the door, and once you are in and thinking of them as a utility/monopoly (for your area) they want to shake you down for more.
