Everything you've written here is sad, delusional, and extremely fanboyish. Do you like games at all or do you just buy them to have an excuse to sling muck around on the internet? PS3 is a game console and a movie player not a crap magnet or a standard raised by a lunatic army on the march.
The 360 never abused you. People who like the 360 are just people and so are people who like the PS3 or people who like both. All of this "we're oppressed, so we need to act even dumbe...
I'll bet he says it a whole lot more from now on if he reads N4G comments.
I'll admit that I got a little fanboyish when the Dreamcast was folding. Nothing close to the crapstorm going on now though.
Tragedy then.
It seems like fanboys don't like being told how obnoxious and ridiculous they are. Who would have guessed? Many of the comments here act as direct evidence that the article is correct. Sadly every console has fanboys capable of saying almost anything no matter how absurd or contemptible. Usually the fans of the rump console are the loudest and most bizarre.
I remember when the 360 launched and PS3 fans (who had no PS3 to be a fan of yet) were screaming Xbox 1.5. Everything sucked...
Parody?
Microsoft had a motion controller for the PC out in 1998 called the Sidewinder Freestyle Pro. It was not a pointer as the Wiimote is but it WAS a true motion controller on the market 12 years ago.
The powerglove was controlled by flexing your hand which bunched and stretched a membrane inside the clove coated with a conductive ink. I don't remember it doing any 3d positioning though it could tell when you rotated your hand because the motion of doing so stretched the interior. I ...
'Graphic Environment Mode' was developed at a Xerox tehcnology lab in Palo Alto California and both MS and Apple stole THAT.
Personally I thought Nintendo ought to have been a bit embarrassed to show us the Vitality sensor.
(And Ravi Drums.)
On the other hand I must admit that I do not have high hopes for Natal or Move at this point. Sony and MS really have their work cut out for them at E3 this year.
I think a remake of the Marathon trilogy would be a pretty great idea especially if they used Cel shading engine to give it the same visual feeling of the older 2.5D engine sprite games. Borderlands looked pretty good that way.
If they used a cheap or free middleware engine and didn't worry about animation quality, cutscenes, or AI too much and just made it as a classic twitchy retro corridor shooter with some 'exploration areas' full of terminals I think it could work really we...
Eyetoy was never anything but a cheap USB webcam. PlayStation eye is a more modern cheap webcam with a microphone. It can't do binocular depth perception which is what the lights do.
Move is a Playstation Eye with two wiimote-like pointer controllers with a light on top or one 'light controller' and a secondary control attachment that will all cost money and all need to be charged through a USB port along with the dualshock 3.
Sounds like a real pain in the butt to m...
I hate it when controversial blog articles predicting rapid technological/interface paradigm shifts conflict with each other.
So confusing!
Let's just wait and see okay? The future will still be there waiting for us tomorrow.
I love Halo because it's a lot of fun. That's why it's popular and why people look forward to new Halo games. That should be obvious. Sorry to hear that you feel the need to try so hard not to see anything good about it. Maybe if you liked having fun more than trying to sound pretentious you could grow to like Halo. But then again, if a twelve year old can do it and you can't...
I'm sorry to hear that you missed the last 13 years worth of Bungie games on the Mac, PC, and Xbox and feel the need to crassly dismiss a very popular and successful developer who almost single handedly saved a new console from dying on the vine. It doesn't matter though. The world already knows better.
Um, I think you may have misread the post you responded to.
All the poster above you (Noah) said was that he thinks that the next Bungie game (after Reach) will be another Halo game, meaning another title in the Halo series or set in the Halo universe.
The bet is that the next Bungie title after Reach won't be a Marathon, Oni, Myth, Paths into Darkness, or Minotaur title nor a new IP, or some other IP that Bungie is hired to work on like a movie license or maybe a ...
Valve is a very significant online digital-publisher though. Ever hear of Steam?
Actually Halo:CE (the original) had invisibility and overshield as pick ups.
I'd say that Sprint and leap are more of a rip off of some of the the Jedi Powers in Dark Forces 2:Jedi Knight.
Playstation Eye is a miked webcam that is now getting a light peripheral to allow it to use depth data and a motion control wand. Natal is a miked depth sensing binocular webcam that focuses on heat sources to know what to look at, and via software recognizes the position of relevant elements of the human form.
It's clearly more advanced than the Playstation Eye which is common webcam and a microphone added to a console. All the eye does is define a 2d boundary representing the ...
Most of the people you hope will buy God of War III have probably never heard of David Jaffe. The whole point of advertising is to attract sales from people who do not read gaming magazines, or think about, or even know who develops which games. So yeah it probably needs a good sized advertising campaign to get big sales numbers (like anything else including fast food).
You were making feeble fanboyish excuses for keeping the river of crap flowing because of what you claim 360 fanboys did to Sony in the past and that's just a bunch of crap. I read your post just fine, didn't put any words in your mouth, and you aren't fooling anybody.
