I'm not sure that Dead Space is all that much a dudebro game (really all the big dudebro franchises so far are Gran Tourismo, CoD, Halo, Madden, NBA, Rockband/Guitar Hero, Mario Kart). He mainly means that it would have third person over the shoulder with a lot of cinematic character stuff.
Don't fret.
It's coming out in 'fiscal 2013'( a year as defined by a company's budgeting/reporting practices ) which for 2K publishing begins in April 2012. So it's very possible that you could see it out sometime next year if nothing goes wrong.

" To be trueful if I was to write an article on this game I would give it a 6 or a 7 as it generates far more attention for my site then giving it 9's and 10's. "
Due to their $15 yearly subscription through Gamestop "Game Informer" is by far the most widely read game magazine in the US and actually one of the top selling print magazines in the US. They aren't just big money, they are HUGE money. That's why they ge...
Those games are all way way better than the shitty writing on that sad, crappy hit-trolling website.
The dim goofball of an author needs to go watch the "You are an idiot! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA" video at New Grounds over and over again until the message is fully absorbed and understood.
Article was clearly done with no research and no real reason for choosing much of anything. Very dumb.
I dunno. I still haven't bought Black Ops yet. We'll see I suppose.
Blu-ray is already old and slow.
Luckily I enjoy games like Fallout and Far Cry. Except I did not enjoy the quinine-leash crap from Farcry 2.
The author of the article cares about the gaming market, not the gaming community. the community is a bunch of clueless idiots on the web barking about stuff they don't really understand just because they don't like how it sounds.
He is looking at Sony electronics from a business perspective not an "Oh how I wish I was a real gaming journalist so people would read my blithering, self indulgent opinion pieces" gaming blog perspective.
I have a PS3 and still think 3d gaming is a totally worthless gimmick.
Most old Survival Horror wasn't particularly scary either. In fact it bordered on being ridiculous comedy. It was just frustrating due to the fixed cameras and the poor controls.
Strife was another early FPS/Action rpg that used the Doom Engine.
Because there are shit fanboys. Duh.
40K Space marine comes out in september too. Maybe it's not quite on the same level of demand and hype as DE:HR, and Dead Island but it still looks polished and fun and a little bit challenging.
It also has some superficial TPS similarities to Gears though it takes things in a slightly more God of War/Dynasty Warriors sort of direction encouraging execution moves and smashing waves of enemies before you proceed instead of blind firing around cover and charging in after ...
Yep. The Japanese market shrunk and it is mostly aimed at portables now.
" That can put a console with more bandwith (360) to shame in the graphics department"
Put to shame? Only in hype. Never in fact. Not even remotely. Same resolution. Same amount of geometry on the screen. Very similar textures. Similar lighting. Similar controls. Similar sounds. Similar length of games. Sometimes better edge aliasing, and sometimes no grass (Mafia 2) or prerendered movies to mask the slow load times of levels (Killzone 3). The PS3 clearly doesn'...
Vita won't be on sale for at least six months and any PS3 sales bump will be long over by then, so of course it won't.
He right bro.
And most of those games sell about 2 million and under and aren't really that good and nobody outside of the SDF talks about them much or is very impressed by them. They just don't matter. Third party ruled this generation for the most part. Most exclusives are becoming very peripheral.
What does he mean it's disappointing that 'you can't kill bosses with hacked turrets'? I had a fairly weak-in-combat character so I carried a hacked turret around with me and killed a LOT of enemies by setting it down, including a boss. It's really not hard at all to do. Not a very good review.
