So the article, which WAS admittedly laying it on a bit thick, says that next year will be boring because it's mostly remakes, sequels, and known brands. It complains that there is nothing new really going on in game development, that publishers are playing it safe and looking backwards, and 90% of the 'new' games are just permutations and updates of the same old familiar brands rehashed ad infinitum.
Okay. The logical thing to do would be to name some new IP'...

Yeah, and so is Alan Wake! It's a third person shooter (using semi-automatic civilian weapons and light sources as weapons and a targeting/weakening mechanism) that has a cinematic "near miss" dodge mechanic and very simple climbing/switch puzzles to break up the action.
I forgot 5 major things about Halo:CE :
1.) The assault rifle is kind of weak but it sounds AWESOME and has a lot of ammo.
2.) The warthog really slides around a lot almost like it has greasy tires.
3.) No hijacking makes some vehicles harder to deal with but you can relax when charging elites as long as you watch for plasma grenades.

What's really pathetic is seeing useless PS3 fanboy posts on every 360 thread whining about a handful of overhyped exclusives that sell pretty mediocre numbers and few actually care about.
Well PS3 fanboys have all these IMPORTANT EXCLUSIVE games that apparently not many people care much about and it makes them really mad so they look for Halo threads to make fools of themselves in.
Kids today are so fragile and sheltered. When I was twelve I rode a bus to San Antonio on my own to visit my Grandmother. I played outside unsupervised with my friends and by myself.
