If they could also give him a Bat-arang and the Mastersword and half tuck his shirt it would be the embodiment of the Fall video game season. They could put up a cardboard word balloon shouting "GIVE ME ALL YOUR MONEEEEEYYY!"
game industry Analysts don't work for us and don't care if WE listen to them or not. Pachter does a fun little show on GameTrailers for gamers to watch where he answers their questions but his main line of work is doing research and analysis leg work on the industry for potential investors to help them identify risk, stability and assess profit potential . Pachter's not worried about how gamers feel about him and his predictions aren't aimed at gamers.
Cowardice? WTF? Capcom just sold gamers an alternate version of Dead Rising II with Frank West in it. They have buckets of gall and balls of solid stainless steel. They just brilliantly set things up so that anyone who bitches about the new DMC as the end of the franchise is cut off at the knees as an asshole who WANTS to complain no matter what they do.
Personally I no longer much care much about DMC either way. 4 seemed rather off, with a new fake Dante to fight with Dnate,...
This is just lame speculation. It's not news.
Next time try actually interviewing someone who works at Remedy and ASKING THEM WHY ITS DOWNLOADABLE like an actual journalist would.
Reporting on letter columns of magazines and websites is now considered journalism on N4G. LOL.
Didn't FFXIII Versus just enter full production in September?
Wow. KingSlayer just got stepped on like a bug. LOL!
Tom Chick and Scott Jones at AV club. Who exactly are they writing for? Who is supposed to appreciate their point of view? Who wants to purchase games based on their opinions? Who benefits from strange hyper critical reviews that go out of their way to dump on popular sequels to games that have reasonably long campaigns, have high production values, likable characters, nice action set pieces, simple puzzles, a coherent plot, fun dialogue, and decent controls? Who wants to read the work of cri...
Rockstar/2K sold about 18 million copies of GTA IV. 9 million were on the 360, 8 million where on the PS3 and an little under one million were on PC.
Do you chumps SERIOULSY think that they'll walk away from a potential 9 million sales(more than half of console sales) just to kiss Sony's butt with an exclusive? LOL.
Meanwhile LOTS of open world games fit on one DVD:
GTA IV, Just Cause 2, Prototype, Crackdown, Crackdown 2, Oblivion, A...
I have two Raven's and have not noticed much of any dead zone on the sticks, nor have I had any problem with FPS games. Not even in Resistance: Fall of Man. I haven't had any problems with unresponsive buttons either. Mine also let you switch R1 to R2 and L1 to L2 with an A/B switch which is handy if you want to shoot with your triggers in KZ3. He also talks about the sticks not moving naturally? What the hell?
He doesn't mention this so maybe he bought an older ...
So you guys are getting super excited about two people saying PS3 has "a slight advantage" over Xbox 360 ? LOL!
Julien Merceron, Worldwide Technical Director for Square Enix :
" At the end of current home Console life cycle, it is very possible consumers might get the feeling PS3 is slightly ahead of Xbox 360 in terms of graphics, but it will only happen if developers dedicate time to really push things on PS3!"
Team Ninja...
"More action oriented than it is"? Dude, it's a third person shooter with normal civilian weapons, a dodge mechanic, light becoming a weapon as a gimmick, and very simple vertical platforming puzzles.
Be honest, you never even played it did you? You just assumed that it was like a Silent Hill game or something.
"AAA" is a publisher term referring to the size of game's development and marketing budget an their expectations for high sales.
It has nothing to do with review scores.
I don't much want it.
I haven't liked a Smash Brothers since Melee. I wasn't that crazy about it and Brawl was a disappointment. Or maybe I've just gotten tired of the series already.
Honestly the only Smash Brother competitor (if you can call it that) I would care about is Capcom's Powerstone.
MS bought FASA Interactive way back and thus owns the rights to Battletech in video games. They licensed it to 'Smith and Tinker' (Jordan Wiseman's company, Jordan Wiseman founded FASA) who hired Piranha to make a video game with them.
MS OWNS the video game IP. It's theirs. Deal with it. They don't want a competitor to use it. They consider it to be an exclusive in the console space. It's no different than Halo, Fable, Project Gotham, Forza, Killzone...
Online passes are a lame attempt to sell a customer less for the same $60 price. What less? They take away the ability to lend or sell THE WHOLE GAME and fully still be able use it AFTER the servers that are now required to use it all have been shut down. Someone buys their game new at $60 and they hurt that person's ability to resell the game or use it on someone else's machine or lend it out.
The customer's solution to this is to not buy a game that has an Onli...
They should change the name of their site to "Gamestupid".
Tekki: Steel Batallion LAUGHS at this idea that you can't fdo a complex sim on a console.
Well Gametrailers/Spike TV did a whole annoying bullshit PR set of Bonus Round episodes on the making of Uncharted 3 and Shane Satterfield can't go five minutes in a podcast without bringing it up so it's pretty obvious that it was going to end up on the list of five GOTY.
Personally I'm voting for Batman:Arkham City even though I haven't played Skyrim yet. I'm not going to play Zelda:Skyward Sword because I'm broke and I won't see Skyrim for at le...
