Nope. I got bored of GTA IV in about three hours. I played Saints Row 2 WAY more. GTA IV was a huge disappointment.
Because it makes virtually no difference in sales. It's a waste of energy and resources to chase exclusives that might sell around 4 million IF you are lucky and are more likely to fight to get to one million. Exclusives are only good news for console fanboys and exclusivity nerds and press guys who need to have something like this to argue about to fill space on game sites and get requoted to the blogs.

I had an odd reaction to playing Halo CE:Anniversary. Well..technically I had three reactions.
1.) The old assault rifle sounds like a Tommy Gun on crack. It's a mediocre weapon but it sounds great and is really fun to shoot.
2.) The warthog sure slides a round a lot compared to later versions.
3.) For some reason playing this really makes me want to dig up my copy of Quake Wars and play that online. Don't get me wrong the Halo remake...

Could this game be a Carwars/Autoduel revival? EA did buy Origin Systems and they used to have a Steve Jackson Games license for Carwars way back when and it was sort of an rpg title (in so far as anything on the PC/Apple in 1985 was).
That always online thing really cooled my heels for Diablo 3, and the real money auctions and not having stats to build just made it worse.

If people give games stupid scores for stupid reasons then YES scores WILL be pointless. As it is they are not quite pointless but they do tend to show a distinct lack of professional method or standards in the game reviewing process.
Either there is a "right" way to review and criticize games or game criticism is not really a field of knowledge and the reviews are just some sad flaky flailing attempt to pretend to provide something of meaning and value to a potent...
If they can't compete with used game then they should go out of business and be replaced by publishers who CAN just like in every other industry. I buy fewer NEW games because of this stupid customer abusing online pass shit. If I get less flexibility with what I bought with regards to trading it or selling it then I'll just buy it at a much lower price. That means if there aren't any Onlive deals or B2G1F sales at Target then I just won't buy games with online passes new.
I bought it and a navigator and a sure-shot and tried them with move compatible games and a few move demos, and yeah, it's not much fun and it sits in a box now. I am not bothered that it is barely supported because it's not much good.
And before someone whines about how unfair it is that I'm not bagging on Kinect for the same reasons...I never bought a Kinect. Or wanted one.
