Uh no. Melee actually improved quite a bit from Morrowind to Oblivion.
Oblivion sadly got rid of levitation and crazy jump spells supposedly because the new engine had some trouble with them.
It oversimplified the weapons skills down two a few basic types.
On the plus side, it added physics so when you hit a guy in the head from behind his head smashes into the table and the silverware moves around or when you kill a wolf on a hill it roll...
It's not mandatory.
So Maxin picked the 'T51-B' power armor from Fallout for #5 and shows us a picture of T45-D powered armor. Typical.
Then they put the 'tanuki suit' and Tony Scarface's Monatna's pinstripe and collar outfift? Lame.
Sadly, Interplay also released some very buggy games including Fallout 1 and 2.
So we've reinvented Gauntlet. Yay.
I really can't get exited about a Street Fighter vs. Tekken game.
I think Square Enix broke the jrpg.
They published at least two games that hardly worked (Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery) on their intended platform both of which had a lot of potential.
Then they made probably the most boring FF design ever (40% prerendered cutscene) and proved why rpgs are better with restricted voice acting (Shut up Vanille! You too Hope! Everybody shut up! Arrgh!).
Then they blew up their own MMORPG business w...
That made me feel kind of sad.
They reviewed each piece of DLC so they had 4 scores. Intead of posting them all N4G went with ?/10.
10 slides with a full page ad between each one? really? One of the '10 games with best textures' is "Half Life 2 With Mods" ? WTF?
That is the worst "article" I've ever seen. Who approves shit like this? Who? How is this crap news?
This is not game news. This is just lame political jabs. Who the hell approved this shit?
DICE can cry "grow up" all they want, but if people who are their fans are disappointed and not impressed with a decision then they ought to tell Dice about it. This 'sensitive artiste' stuff is just sad to see in a developer. Either Dice really wants $60 or they don't. They need to make up their mind. A fake open beta that is really a promotional demo in a bad level doesn't generally make people like a product so Dice should think carefully about what people tell th...
Well... if you don't like the new direction of Diablo 3 there are several other options. (and not just older stuff like Titan Quest, Loki, Sacred 2, GuildWars, or Silverfall)
'Torchlight 2' and 'Grim Dawn' will both come out online sometime sort of soon.
'Path of the Exile' is playable now. Flagship Games 'Mythos' has been remade as a free to play MMO and is also out or due out soon.
Who writes this lame shit, and who approves it?
I like onlive, but the catalog needs to get a LOT better before it is a full console replacement. Right now it's older games, and a few newer games.
Especially if it has an offline mode on the console.
FF XIII was a badly designed mess.
And according to Square Enix FF XIII Versus only entered actual "full production" about two weeks ago.
The weapon skins are expensive, don't really look good, and just aren't very interesting to me as an idea. New outfits? Sure. Weapon Skins? Meh.
Still, if people will buy it then they will buy it. You can't argue with reality and win.
If you think that people who play console games are "scum" that are "ruining gaming", and you can't even find a way to embed a video so that it is watchable, then perhaps YOU are a bigger and more ridiculous jerk than any of the people you are complaining about.
Just about all post apocalyptic and psuedo-post apocalyptic stuff(Borderlands) borrows from the Mad Max, Terminator, The Road Warrior, Planet of the Apes, Omega Man, 1984, Logan's Run, A Canticle for Leibowitz, or Brave New World (for when some of the survivors form a really creepy "peaceful" science dystopia with mind control and such)
