We all know anyone who makes a post like this is actually subbing and installing GamePass + EA play day 1 - but crying while doing so.
Yep.. and this is the perfect time to be doing it during COVID when everyone is stuck at home.
Two disagrees on my comment because people don't think free games are an awesome deal...
It's bigger on PC than it is on console, yes - but still not huge. Being sold out isn't a measure of performance - we don't know how many units they are manufacturing and hardware availability all up is more limited right now.
"Sony have just announced PSVR2 after the first one being a big success"
~5m with 110m+ PS4 consoles out there is nothing to write home about in terms of attach rate. It's most definitely not a 'big success'....
I'm not sure I'd consider ~5m sell-through with 110m+ PS4's out there as 'healthy'. That's a very small adoption percent/rate. Hell, the 360 Kinect outsold that 4x - and that was a failure.
HZD complete being free is an awesome deal for those who didn't pick it up yet - or are new to the PS ecosystem with PS5.
Make sure to set a reminder so you don't forget! Also, you don't even need to be an active PS+ subscriber to get these!
I think they made the right choice not jumping onto the VR bandwagon - it hasn't really taken off, after years of attempts.
Good, especially on the framerate - 60FPS is essential for a game like this.
GameSpot, CNet, Arstechnica, Kotaku etc. must all be Xbox fanboys too, makes sense.
Also, it looks better than most other $99 headsets.
If it had Sony stamped on the side, you'd love it though, right?
Where do I get one of these checks? I'll happily write positive news about Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo if the price is right! Heck, for the right price, I might even write positive news for Activision & EA!
Hit me up.
What resolution & framerate are Skyrim & Prey etc. on your PS5?
Just gonna point out that hardware sales aren't the entire picture in terms of revenue... in fact they're usually sold at a loss.
My $0.02? Nintendo is the real winner here, not Microsoft or Sony.
GamePass really is the best deal in gaming. It feels like every week or so I'm on here reading they've announced a new batch of good games - including some surprises!
I remember people asking/commenting the same thing of Netflix back in the days... including Blockbuster...
Worth it in my opinion, It's getting really hard to go back and play games at 30FPS after being treated to so many 60FPS upgrades lately.
Are we now comparing chips to retail packaging? How many people see the chip vs the retail packaging...
Nice deflection but the fact remains that upgrading these games to run at 60fps without touching the game code / any work being done by the developer is a huge, impressive feat!
I can only wish we got the same treatment from Sony.
I don’t have high hopes for this sadly - Jade Raymond is seriously overrated - what has she done that has been good since AC?
That plus she jumps around all the time - she’ll have moved onto a new role by Christmas.
@purple101 How do you post your biggest quarter ever while losing market share and losing the hearts and minds of gamers? Who is buying their products and services, if not gamers!?
@WireMucks and that is fine - investors don’t look at “hardware numbers sold” - especially since hardware is typically sold as a loss - they look at revenue - and they don’t care where that revenue comes from.
The shortage right now isn’t really due to increased demand - it’s due to COVID - good luck getting a Ps5, Xbox or any new GPU / CPU.
Xbox just posted it’s biggest quarter ever at 5bn - it’s doing fine and is profitable.
We’ve bee...
Source? Console has had EA for months and no price increase.
