@neutralgamer1992 You are right - they are charging $0 for a HD upgrade because it isn’t an option...
The design where to acquire new games, I have to uninstall and redownload games if I want to play them again later due to no cold storage is a truly spectacular design.
Innovation at the cost of usability is not innovation.
@badz149 there are already drives out that meet or exceed that. Sony has not enabled the port yet.
Also cold storage could’ve been supported from day 1 - there is no special drive requirement there.
I disagee with your statement based purely on how broken the upgrade & save data migration process is - and how lackluster the storage situation is.
And yet that 30gb only really matters on PS5 because 6 months later we STILL have no cold storage and no expandable storage...
But I wouldn’t call this “must get” unless we’re suddenly pretending Avengers was a good game...
Dang, Xbox really is living in his head for free. Why such worry?
@waverider I'd previously looked at most mainland European countries. I've just checked Portugal too and nothing. I've checked 'Worten', 'fnac' and Microsoft Store Portugal. No Amazon Portugal either - they seem to use Amazon Spain.
I've heard this theory on here a lot about how easy it is to find a Series X... yet no one can seem to link me one in stock... almost like it's BS to downplay the fact it sold out.
@darthv72 Don't get me wrong, I think the S is a great little box - I'm going to pick one up as a bedroom gaming box & emulator box with retroarch as soon as I can get my hands on one here in the US - I'm just not desperate enough to import it and pay the taxes etc.
If getting sh*t on = making 5bn in 3 months, I would love to get sh*t on please. My bank account would appreciate the 5bn. Thanks!
Can you link me to where I can buy one of those Series X's that are sitting on the shelves in the US? I can't find them anywhere.
Also, why would shareholders end a profitable section of a business? That makes no sense. Their goal is to make profit and improve the share price - and that market cap is closing in on 2 tr...
@ocelot07 That is a Series S - I want an X.
But also not surprised S isn't sold out, it's a casual device and casual gamers aren't early adopters. Getting a Series X is proving impossible for me, despite trying every time Walmart etc. get them back in stock (for about 5 minutes...)
Yeah lol... desperate deflection attempt.
My Switch has only been used portably for flights (pre-pandemic...) - 99% of the time it is sitting attached to my TV.
Please link me to the website where I can buy one please - I've been trying to get an XSX for months and will happily import from Europe.
@Jericho1337 Exactly!
From what MS has said so far:
This will be a PC + Xbox exclusive, and will be on game pass day 1 - but you will still be able to go buy it at full price on either of those platforms if you'd prefer.
They will just play it on PC - it's not an exclusive.
Isn't that how this conversation goes?
What? Why would this mean Street Fighter is a PS exclusive? EVO is a tournament, it's nothing to do with the development of the Street Fighter series.
And even if they did own the rights to SF - this is a joint venture, not a full buy-out by Sony.
I think you just proved out a good point - hardware sales are only a small part of the bigger picture.
Switch and Xbox Series are both doing fine - neither are going anywhere.
I would rather they spent the R&D cost/time on giving us more new IP’s and fixing the storage situation.
Barely anyone cares for VR - it’s niche.
@DJStotty Good point... those routers are expensive as hell! Some of them cost the same if not more than a new console...
Plus 99% of the country doesn’t have internet even remotely fast enough to need WiFi 6.
The 10 people who want VR will be deeply disappointed.
@nfrog Please link me to the store where I can purchase an in-stock XSX.
