“Sorry but ps5 breaks websites every time it comes available.”
Not true - BestBuy gets frequent restocks, as recent as a few days ago, and doesn’t crash.
But it was a good try on your part - you found the only website on the internet where you thought you could buy an XSX to prove they are “sitting on shelves” - but sadly you didn’t read the page properly to see it’s out of stock and that “sitting on shelves” was a lie - but 10/10 for effort.

If it’s available, why does it take them 7 weeks to deliver it? Also if you check Wortens physical stores, they all are out of stock.
All that means is Microsoft has given them some indication of their next shipment or they’ve calculated how far apart past shipments were.
If it was in stock, they would sell me it today. That’s how stores work.
“Estimated delivery in 5 to 7 weeks”
Dang, 5-7 weeks for something that’s sitting on a shelve is a long time. Almost like it isn’t in stock.
“Estimated delivery in 5 to 7 weeks”
So not in stock or sitting on shelves. Sigh.
Both consoles broke websites at launch - neither have since then - and both XSX & PS5 are impossible to find due to demand, beyond limited restocks that sell out immediately.
If third place hardware sales means making 5bn a quarter - it’s clear companies make revenue from areas other than hardware sold at a loss ;)
Please link me to where I can buy one of these Xbox Series X’s that are just sitting on shelves.
Yep Kiwi... but don’t forget he believes in generations - we just don’t know for what, certainly not for first party games.
Maybe he meant save games... given how bad that process is.
This was something I just expected to be present on both next gen consoles. But also not surprised we don’t have it on PS5, I mean hell, cloud saves still aren’t free...
Commenting on an article about something they did this generation, saying they did nothing this generation.
Interesting
Smart delivery still lets you install old versions and it’s easy to do so.
Why should the developer have to implement an online service for this? They don’t have to on Xbox - which is why it just works everywhere, automatically / with zero action on the players part and the behavior is consistent.
Easy to blame the developer but it is clear who’s responsibility this is.
This was one of the best Star Wars games in a LONG time, it’s been multiple generations since we had a good Star Wars game.
I hope they add 4k60 and a lower res 120hz mode. Saw some videos of it in 1080p60 on the Series X upgraded version and it looks buttery smooth.
The RE thing was debunked. One included RE:Verse and one didn’t - the gap is actually only a few GB.
@The_Beat how many dollars is storage on PS5? Oh wait... they forgot to enable it for us.
They should 'bring more PS2 games to PS4' by just supporting proper backwards compatibility and letting us insert our PS2 discs rather than re-buy. Oh, and add PS1 + 3 into that list too please.
Xbox Series consoles can emulate PS1 and PS2 games, so it's clear this is technically possible with the hardware in the PS5 today.
@nfrog I guess if you consider being factual and realistic as ridiculous, yes, we are very ridiculous.
@nfrog My point was you only managed to find one retailer with an XSS - clearly you tried to find an XSX and couldn't - same as me.
If you think XSX and PS5 aren't selling out online in seconds, you're living in a fantasy land.
@Shiken Exactly. Gen9 is shaping up to be great, with all companies seeing huge success & firing on all cylinders - which is great for us gamers - competition means good pricing/offers and lots of good content.
Totally agree - I would love PS3 backwards compatibility. I'd love to replay MGS4 on a modern console at 60FPS (or even a stable 30fps if Konami won't patch it - the game struggles a bit on PS3).
@nfrog Ah, so by 'xbox sits on shelves' you meant if you look REALLY hard, you can find one retailer in the world, who doesn't even have the X in stock, but has some S in stock. Bit of a misleading statement by yourself.
I wouldn't really consider it 'sitting on shelves' until I can walk into Walmart, Target or BestBuy right now and buy one - which I can't, unfortunately.
PS5 was in stock today on BestBuy, and Mediamarkt in Eur...
@nfrog So it's outselling it 2:1 (actually 1.5:1, but we'll go with 2:1 to make you happy). Yet Xbox just posted it's biggest quarter ever... and Nintendo are doing great too... It's almost like hardware sales (which are at a loss) are a small % of revenue for games companies...
p.s. Still waiting on that link to where I can buy my XSX in stock today.
That’s totally incorrect though.
1. Xbox One did not use the GDK until Scarlett launch, meaning old games which are migrating saves are using the XDK which is completely different.
2. This functionality would be a service clearly, so Sony would just have to write PS4 and PS5 code to talk to that web service. They already so this today - that is how PSN works on both PS4 and PS5.
If it’s so impossible to do on PS, how come third party de...
