You're delusional if you think gamers are going to pay $50 for handheld games even if they almost look as good as titles on the PS3. Software on the original PSP already suffered at $39.99.
If games are more than $40 it will struggle because most people aren't willing to pay much for portable games. Just look at the top selling games on the Apple App store or Android Market.
People simply aren't willing to pay as much for portable games as titles on their home consoles, even if the experience is similar.
Nothing we haven't really seen before in other DirectX 11 tech demos. Still not sure why the game didn't launch with DirectX 11.

The reason the 360 doesn't support 7.1 audio has nothing to do with DVD, but the fact that the console would have no way to output it. HDMI 1.2 only supports 5.1 and the optical audio port on the 360 also only supports 5.1 so this has nothing to do with disc space.
PS3 multi-plats missing 7.1 are probably just the result of a quick port job, and developers knowing that the vast majority of their customers won't be missing anything.
Not sure why you got 3 disagrees, as old shooters were typically a lot less forgiving. Now when you die the game takes you back to your last checkpoint, and pretty much every game has regenerating health so a few seconds hidden behind a way returns you to full strength.
As to new shooters being more fun than old shooters, it's completely subjective and I think that both old and new shooters are capable of being a lot of fun today.
@ 4me2
I didn't mean to make it look like you were saying that, but was merely pointing out to others that despite the fact that Sony is worth quite a bit more than van-essa stated, they still are not large enough to buy Google.
@ 4me2
Yeah, that is true but even then it's not like Sony could afford to buy Google (or vice versa).
Did anyone notice the video was first uploaded to youtube in February 2010?
The reason Gears of War and Infamous both do not use anti-aliasing is that they use a deferred rendering path that is incompatible with traditional MSAA.
I thought Sucker Punch was going to implement MLAA in Infamous 2 but if the beta is any indicator I guess not. It is hard to believe any major graphical changes will occur, as the game releases in exactly 1 month and they will begin pressing discs weeks before that.
Still, aside from some minor aliasing, the...
He wishes it had 802.11n apparently.
Nah, my guess is that the 360 version is at a lower resolution, or 720p without AA while some form of AA is present in the PS3 version.

The e in eDRAM stands for embedded, and in the case of the 360 the eDRAM is extremely fast due to it's ultra wide memory bus giving it 256GB/s of memory bandwidth. The problem? It only has 10MB of it.
The Wii has eDRAM as well but it's only 3MB (like the Gamecube) and is considerably slower than what is present in the 360. The PS2's eDRAM is 4MB I believe that is is available to the Graphics synthesizer only and is on a 2560-bit...
@ a08andan
The clockspeed is higher, but it's on a very narrow memory bus so it peaks at around 25.6GB/s of bandwidth. The other 256MB of RAM in the PS3 is DDR3 and only runs at 700MHz on a 128-bit memory bus giving it 22.4GB/s of memory bandwidth.
On the PC a Core i7 with triple channel memory can easily outperform the PS3's 256MB of XDR, with up to 64GB/s depending on the speed of the memory. With tri-channel 1333MHz DDR3 we're already at 32GB/...
I seriously doubt Valve will slow down the load times on the PC version to compensate for the PS3 version.
If anything there will just be a waiting room for players that have loaded faster, giving them the option to wait for PS3 players or start without them.
You heard right.
My Portal 2 folder on the PC is roughly 9.72GB (Steam pre-load) so I imagine the PS3 version will still at least be in the 6-7GB range.
The PS3 currently only supports single and dual layer Blu-rays, so it's really 50GB max.
As to them getting 10GB out of a DVD9, I'm not sure how they intend to do that since the real maximum is 8.5GB (7.95 GiB)
I haven't honestly noticed much difference between Chrome and Firefox 4 in terms of speed. Firefox definitely uses more memory though, which isn't really an issue for me as even my laptop has 6GB of RAM.
On the PS3 where you only have 256MB of RAM though, Chrome would definitely be the better choice.
I meant the 24 hour PSN boycott.
This is the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard, and is not what I expect from real Anon.
@ Sunhammer
Pretty sure it wasn't 480i, but it was worse than the native 720p found in the PS3 version.
