Yeah, the Microsoft deal has DEFINITELY worked out for everyone.
This, I haven't purchased a single game key card title for Switch 2 and I never will.
Publishers have no one to blame but themselves.
According to Valve, the Steam machine is more powerful than 70% of Steam PCs so the PS5 Pro absolutely is more powerful than the majority of PCs on Steam.
As someone that owns everything though, I agree that the PS5 is not a viable alternative to PC gaming for other reasons. The games I play on the PC are mostly not available on consoles.
Might as well be given it’s still $3500.
That's a no brainer, the 5090 is definitely the fastest card on the market but the 4090 is the second fastest, so it's still extremely powerful.
I think they exaggerate because people like when a product punches above its weight, especially from an underdog, but yeah it's not a huge difference. There are plenty of games where the 5080 is significantly faster.
I expect the regular edition to be $70 as is the standard price for games with a $80-100 digital delux edition being popular.
Right, losing $300 million on a deal that already cost the company $70 billion is not great. They’ve been shutting down studios quickly and it will continue because Microsoft doesn’t understand or value this industry.
It basically never loaded after installation. Got stuck after the splash screen, I then deleted it because I had gamepass at the time and didn’t buy it. I’m sure it got fixed but Iet my gamepass lapse not long after.
Very cool, I may finally check this out. When I tried it on gamepass at launch it had a lot of issues and I couldn't really get it to launch on Series X.
The Series X definitely costs a lot more to manufacture than the PS5 which is what makes the PS5 basically matching (and often surpassing it) in most games such as massive defeat technical defeat. Sony used a smarter cheaper design that was able to basically perform the same anyway so they aren't stuck bleeding as much money on each piece of hardware. The bigger memory bus, larger APU, and more aggressive design that required more expensive cooling didn't really do much to make a diff...
They don’t care anymore, they are fine with people just buying PS5s.
Might as well, now that Xbox is out of the picture they can drop the charade and maximize their position in the console market.
Makes senes, we're a couple of good die shrinks away from a truly next-gen Steam deck. By 2028 TSMC's new 2nm process that Apple and Qualcomm are utilizing in 2026 should become available to Nvidia and AMD.
He's literally always wrong and a purveyor of FUD
Thank you! PSVR2 has been great since they opened it up to support the PC. It was always neat on PS5 but kind of an expensive toy for it to be locked to one platform. Now it has a ton of value that it works on both PS5 and PC.
Hope they add this to the PSVR2 controllers because I use them on PC and PS5 Pro.
Xbox users don’t buy games anymore, they subscribe to Gamepass.
Of course, no one even makes these kinds of games anymore and the Horizon series is good.
