Well, Sager does offer way more powerful machines but I'm not really a fan of their policy of using desktop CPUs in laptops. There is no point in using a 130W CPU in a laptop when even the highest end laptop GPUs will be a bottleneck long before any of Intel current quad core laptop i7s.
You're right, Razer didn't say anything about this product saving PC gaming, but Kotaku did and I believe that's what most of these articles are responding to.
I personally think that the laptop Razer is making looks quite nice, but has some serious pricing issues, especially considering the hardware it is shipping with. I mean seriously, a dual core i7, Geforce GT 555M, and a 320GB hard drive for $2800? It doesn't even have Blu-ray or an SSD at that price? <...
The Amazon download version gives you a Steam key you can use to download the game through Steam.
>mfw you are the cancer ruining /b/
This is hilarious, a user recommending Walmart to people angry with the corporate misconduct of another retailer.
How exactly is a 7lb 17" laptop extremely portable as they like to claim in their marketing video?
At roughly the same weight and size you can get a better equipped HP Envy 17, with a Blu-ray drive, dual hard drives (or SSD if you want), and you'll actually get a quad core CPU, as this Razer model only seems to offer 35W dual core i7s.
At $2800 you would also have access to the highest end Alienware configurations, or some pretty beastly machines fr...
The games better be pretty simple because porting a Vita game to the 3DS will be a lot like porting a PS3/360 game to the Wii.
As an Amazon Prime member I can get any game I want overnight for less than I will pay at Gamestop with tax.
Even two year old cards like the Radeon 5870 are able to max it easily.
How is that a troll question? In the Elder Scrolls world they're all anthropomorphic and usually own homes and businesses.
The Vita doesn't use hard drives and will not use hard drives because mechanical drives are not only too large but too power hungry for most mobile devices. A 32GB microSD card is roughly $50 on Amazon right now, and while it is true that Sony could get that amount of flash memory for less than retail, expecting 128GB of flash memory on a device that starts at $250 is insane.
I wouldn't expect a 64GB version of the PSP Vita until at least a year or two into the consol...
This is one of the reasons I have not set foot in a Gamestop in more than a year. I buy all of my games on Steam, Amazon, or my local retro game store.
Just imagine the shit storm that would be occurring if Gamestop started removing the free DLC codes for games like Battlefield 3.
I wasn't referring to Resident Evil 4, but the new game they recently showed that has yet to release.
I also felt like Resident Evil 5 had too many enemies, and the fact that you could be basically revived by your co-op partner really took away from the survivor horror aspect of the game.
After seeing that last Resident Evil game (not referring to 5, but the unreleased one) that basically looked like Gears of War, Capcom will really have to do something amazing to get me interested in the franchise again.
Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Remake are two of my favorite games of all time but Capcom now seems content with making Gears of War clones instead of real survivor horror games.
Sure they can, if they reduce the graphical quality on consoles.
I thought John Carmack said this would be the case back when he first announced Doom 4. He said that Doom 4 will be considerably better looking graphically than Rage but will have a lower frame rate as a result.
I think the + refers to the fact that the GPU has 128MB of dedicated memory, possibly on an independent memory bus. Most SoCs like Tegra 2/3, OMAP4, A5, etc use a shared memory bus for the CPU and GPU.
The dedicated video memory on the Vita's SoC will give it a huge advantage over first gen quad core SoCs like Tegra 3.
Plus isn't there a button to rebuy everything that you purchased in the previous round?
Nintendo of America has had some pretty major localization issues recently.
Actually the GDDR5 version of the GT 555M should be the same or slightly faster than a 9800GT, but you have to also consider the fact that it has a TDP of less than 50W, while the 9800GT uses over 2x the power and puts out twice as much heat.
The thermal and power constraints of laptops are the main reason laptop CPUs and GPUs are always considerably slower than their desktop counterparts.
