I am not sure if to agree or disagree with what you said.

RPG's are just that "Role Playing Games" and whether you like the Eastern (eg The Witcher series), Japanese or Western variants is entirely up to you. Even amongst the regional games, there are many crossovers and except for games like Dungeons and Dragons which were originally a board game most RPG's are actually having their main core gameplay based on similar statistics.

As fo...

If you have installed a game on a friends PS4 you have to authenticate either by the owner of the digital loadable game logging into PSN or by inserting the Bluray game disk which does not need a PSN authentication. How is this a problem?

As you have rightly pointed out if your digital loadable games are on the PS4 which you have nominated as your home console you don't have to log in to PSN to authenticate.

It depends on the country you live in. Most people who play computer games have at least some disposable income and can normally afford the internet connection. Where you get a problem is when your ISP insists on download caps.

If I download a game from PSN I will have to wait for it to partially download (depends on the game) before playing it although I normally wait for the full download since it is always possible you may have to download a patch on top of that although all this downloading can be done in the background while playing another working game Personally I do this over night.

@Ristul

You can make backups of your PS3 and PS4 digital games and with the 4.5 firmware update, you can also run your games from a USB 3 storage device. Many digital games allow cross buy if other platforms like the PS3 and Vita are supported.

Personally, I would rather purchase a physical copy of a game but it is sometimes considerably cheaper to purchase a game digitally especially if you are happy to wait for a sale. If you have a PS+ account you can ...

Even the Wiki site has been changed to reflect this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wi... now the game is only coming to Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One sometime in 2018.

I would not say Seiken Densetsu 3 is a killer game but it is still IMHO a really good game since you get to pick from (I think) six main characters with each character having a pretty good introduction and during the course of the game interacting with the other characters. The game also has multiple endings depending on your choice of the main character.

I do have one nitpick. I can understand an applaud that older games can have fairly pixelated graphics but we are now li...

Err! you do know this is for Nintendo Switch, not the PS4.

From the article (price of the set of games is $43 USD):
Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden (previously published in the west as Final Fantasy Adventure)
Seiken Densetsu II (published in the west as Secret of Mana)
Seiken Densetsu III (never released in the west, only fan translations exist).

From the screenshots, it appears that the games would be running under emula...

Like or not the Switch is out and it has to compete with the PS4 and XB1 as it currently is.

I am aware that the so-called add-on will be optional and could be construed to be something like the PS4pro and the upcoming Scorpio but those consoles are effectively stand alone like the PS4 and XB1 and not add-ons. Trying to sell a power add-on particularly so early in the life of a product will only confuse some and alienate others.

You can set your PS3 on top of your PS4 without any heating issues although I don't advise doing it the other way around for obvious reasons. I have a FAT PS3 and have never had any problems doing this. Obviously, it should go without saying aways make sure you do something like this in a well-ventilated cabinet.

You can do the same with a cheap microfiber cloth (sewing the edges optional but advisable) although it won't look as pretty but it will protect your Switch.

There are plenty of games that do display wet clothes as wet and it is a nice immersive touch.

In The Witcher 3 and even Skyrim as examples, you have plants, small animals, birds and even insects that you normally interact in a mild way (eg. picking flowers or herbs) or even not at all with but together go to make the game world much more believable. Most of these worlds don't have destructible environments unless there is a need for this mechanic.

Yes and no. If you download a game to your internal storage (approx 25GB max) then you could run out of storage with just a few games but you will find that the loading times of games from the internal storage is much faster than even the cartridge. https://www.youtube.com/wat...

From the video, tests were carried out against cartridge, high-performance SD cards, and internal storage. While internal...

In the game The Witcher 3 you can craft oils (they are upgradable) which are specific to each monster class which you can apply to your silver monster slaying blade that will allow so many strikes before you need to reapply the oil. This is not a bad mechanic since it enhances your weapon and gives you a much better advantage especially when you are fighting enemies five or six levels above you and you are playing the game on the higher difficulties.

One of the main selling points of using Vulkan is the fact that it is multiplatform and will work with different operating systems compared to the Microsoft proprietary DX12 which only works with Windows 10.

The majority of PC gaming is on Microsoft Windows with Windows 10 (25.19%), Windows 7 (48.41%), Windows XP (8.45%), Windows 8 (1.65%) and Windows 8.1 (6.87%) 3354d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

If I am "on the go" I usually drive and the cops take a very dim view of a driver playing games or even talking on their handheld. 😉

Even if I take a bus, plane or even train it is so much more convenient taking a smartphone although, to be honest, I am not all that enthusiastic about some of the games. Still, in the relatively short time, I am traveling it is nice to do something and the best game from my perspective is "Solitaire" which is fre...

@maybelovehate

One big turn off in Zelda BotW is the fragility of weapons. The Souls series, Bloodborne and NioH have the concept of weapon and armor wearing out but at least they do it right. In fact, most games that have weapon and armor degradation do it right. Having to pause the game (you can't do this in the above games I mentioned) select a new weapon then do the same thing again in a few seconds is IMHO stupid.

I have played and enjoyed every ...
