If the Switch owners did not get a screen protector then they are going to be annoyed in a few weeks or months due to scratching/scuffing unless they play games with the device docked.

There are adults that you should not let within five meters of any handheld display device but most (not all) kids and younger teens can be pretty hard on a portable, hence the reasoning of getting a screen protector preferably on the purchase of the Switch.

With the exception of Mario kart 8 Deluxe, Arms and Splatoon 2 all the others are multi-platform.

Basically, none of the ones you mentioned interest me and that includes Mario games. The only game on the Switch that I would like to play is "Zelda: Breath of the Wild" but one game no matter how good is going to tempt me to purchase a Switch.

Calling the Scorpio by an appropriate name does matter otherwise you end up with none gaming parents/grandparents (remember they are the ones with the money) getting confused like what occurred with the Wii and WiiU.

Gamers who have the money to purchase a new gaming console usually don't really care for names although it does make it allot easier if those names are logical or the companies PR department are really good at what they do.

If you had a PS+ account you could have picked up Uncharted 4 for $22 AUD ($16.50 USD) just over a week ago. The Uncharted collection was also going for $20 AUD ($15 USD). I have never seen physical copies either new or second hand being as cheap.

BTW. The prices are in Australian dollars and US dollars (in brackets).

IMHO it is always worth doing a quick check on PSN prior to starting a game since the Store sometimes has spot sales. You don't have to...

The problem with purchasing a 4K TV (you can even get 8K now) is the fact that you have to share it with all members of your household and some of those members may not want to watch or play what you like. The only solution for that is to determine (assuming you are the one purchasing it) what each family member likes and purchase a display device or devices appropriately.

For those members of the household that just like TV shows and the odd movie then a 1080p TV for the l...

You can get 8K now providing you have the money. http://www.theverge.com/201...

If you don't mind a few years wait why purchase a low-resolution 4K display when you will be able to get an 8K display or if you have a spare $5000 USD lying around you can purchase a 32" 8K monitor now. http://www.theverge.com/201...

If you want bragging rights then the above monitor is the way to go.

Until the Scorpio comes onto the market the PS4pro is still the most powerful console and will be so for at least another six months. Even when the Scorpio releases you really do have to ask the question as to who will buy it? Do you honestly think million of gamers (especially existing PS4 ones) are all of a sudden going to trade in their consoles?

Do yo honestly think existing XBox gamers are going to trade their older consoles for the Scorpio or just purchase the Scorpio...

You are correct in saying Microsoft has more assets and overall is more profitable than Sony but like it or not Microsoft and Sony are responsible to their shareholders and if shareholders see money bleeding out of a division within an organization they do have a tendency to get nervous.

Not when you consider that the original PS3 had a user swappable hard disk drive, a CD/DVD/Bluray player, 3 card readers, 4 USB ports, touch controls, WiFi, Optical audio out and Bluetooth. In fact, the Bluray player was actually better or on par with existing Bluray players that were much more expensive.

The only thing missing was haptic feedback (ie. rumble) due to litigation with Immersion, however, the controller did also have six-axis sensing and was available a week b...

Why would Sony drop the price of the PS4pro prior to the 14th June 2017?

Now if you said that Sony should drop the price of the PS4pro just prior to the Scorpio's release in either late October or November 2017 then I would fully agree.

Price, games, aesthetics and specifications in that order helped to sell the PS4. Of course, Microsofts massive fumble and one eighties did not help endear the console to many gamers.

Having a 4K Bluray drive is only beneficial to people who have a 4K TV and want to play 4K movies on it which if anyone cares to look are 20% to over 50% more expensive than standard Bluray movies. Yes, you will be able to see the difference between 4K and 1080p unless you have eye problems bu...

I don't even see that happening in the US.

Let's see. Just assuming (and that is a big assume) the Scorpio comes out late October 2017 and is priced at $450 which at that price will most likely sell well initially. Meanwhile, the PS4 and PS4pro have been selling from the 1st of January 2017 so by the time the Scorpio comes out the Playstation will have almost 10 months of sales behind them

Unless the Scorpio sells ridiculous numbers and for some r...

If the PS3 was delayed for a year then the XBox360 would have had an additional year lead.

Sony had to remove haptic feedback from their controller due to litigation which Microsoft supported https://en.wikipedia.org/wi... although Sony later did come to an agreement with Immersion which resulted in the Dual Shock 3. In addition, there was also the Bluray versus HDDVD format war and again Microso...

The Switch was badly scratched though.

This should not need saying but If you have a portable device with a screen (ie.smartphone, handheld ... etc) you should always consider getting a screen protector and it is even more important to get one if you have children using the device.

BTW. Yes, I am aware that there are adults that you should not let within two meters of any electronic device but normally children are much more destructive although not neces...

Put portable battery bank in the pocket and connect it to the Switch via the USB to USB 3.1 connector. Not only that you could also use the battery to keep your mobile charged as well although you may have to change the USB cable depending on your mobile.
