I won't deny that graphically the PC can have the better visuals if you have a capable monitor and graphics card. Of course, there is more to a game than just visuals since IMHO gameplay and challenge are more important factors.

As to which is the better keyboard and mouse or controller that depends on the game and the skill of the player.

Having the ability to mod a game is a nice feature if you as the gamer are interested in doing that type of thing...

I call BS on that.

I live in Australia and purchased a PS3 day one (PAL Version) which can and still play PS1, PS2 and of course PS3 games. I also have a library of well over 100 PS1, PS2 and PS3 games but I rarely play them since I also have a PS4.

Even with a BC PS3 PS1 games do look very grainy on my 55" HDTV while PS2 games do have a tendency to look "washed out" although still acceptably playable compared to PS3 games. PS4 games are pr...

There is a problem if your old game has online requirements and the servers for that game have been shut down. If that is the case then you have what is in effect a coaster or just wasted space on your storage unless that old game has a campaign or single player mode. Even if the servers of the old game that you like are still up how many people are still playing it?

Of course, some games do have couch coop or PvP but you have to have someone to play with you. Fine if you a...

I still have my old FAT PS3 (2006) and it works fine. The reason why I purchased it day one even though I still had my PS2 which I used as a trade-in was backward compatibility.

At the start of a console generation, BC is a great selling point but further into the generation it still is a nice feature for a bit of nostalgia to play old but good (this is subjective) games however usually newer games take precedence.

Let's put it this way. How many peop...

It would be much cheaper to just get the DualShock 4 in appropriate colours https://www.playstation.com... rather than go out and buy a PS4 in the colours you want.

If you really want a custom colour or decal for your PS4 and DS4 you can always purchase them fairly cheaply and if you get tired of the skin you can easily replace it with a different one.

None of the girls look remotely like or dress like Jessica from DQ8.

To be fair some of the Witches in DQ8 can also do Puff Puff as well. 🙂

I am quite happy with PS+ membership since I do get free games for my PS4 and PS3 every month and specials ranging from 10% to over 80% on selected games. I won't deny that some of those games may be old (some actually are fairly recent) and not to everyone's liking but you have to remember that an old game is new to a person who has never played it before unless you are the impatient type of gamer who has to have the latest releases.

The games on PS Now can be play...

I have never thrown $60 USD for a game since my attitude to games is wait for a sale because even an old game is new if you have never played it before. Of course, it is always a good idea not to look at spoilers and cheats for games you are interested in unless you are the impatient type in which case what I have just said is irrelevant.

If you are the type who like online games especially online only then I guess you will need to pay full price before the game effectively...

The following site gives a fairly straightforward but comprehensive discussion on the TV resolution confusion: 1080p, 2K, UHD, 4K, 8K, and what they all mean. https://www.cnet.com/au/new...

Well worth the read since you really cannot explain the differences in one or two sentences.

Sony could consider allowing PS Now subscribers the option to download the game and play it in the same way PS+ subscribers can download and play PS+ free games. This technique would allow the player to play the game for the life of their subscription or they fill up their storage device or get a nasty letter from their service provider whichever comes first. Of course, if the PS Now subscriber has a very good internet service they could still stream.

BTW. Microsoft will ha...

If your hard disk is close to capacity you may find that you have disk performance (HDD) issues. A rule of thumb for hard disk drives is to try and restrict your data storage to about 85% of your HDD's capacity.

Usually, for home use, it is rare that you will need to defragment your hard disk although for enterprise systems defragmentation is only required when needed and there are plenty of tools that will give the System Administrator warnings that a defragmentation ...

Wow so many disagree when you are fully correct.

Since the PS4 runs a variant of FreeBSD which is based on Unix it highly likely it running a Unix journaling filesystem. There is no way Sony is going to run Microsoft's filesystem (ie. NTFS) which would require them paying a license fee to Microsoft.

I am not sure we can actually call the Wii last generation since it was standard definition only and underpowered compared to the HD (720p and 1080p) capable PS3 and XBox360. Yes, the Wii did sell more but most third party support was dropped.

The Wii was very popular with casual players before they moved to smartphones and the Wii was replaced by the HD capable Wii U (18th Nov 2012) a full year before the PS4 and XB1. Unfortunately for Nintendo, the WiiU was not a success ...

It sucks to have an unreliable power grid but you can't blame Sony for that. Problems with power should be addressed to the proper authorities such as your power provider and possibly your council or even your government representative, although you may get more response from a brick wall rather than talk to a government representative.

Actually, on the subject of motion controls, Sony actually launched the PS3 (17th Nov 2006) with their controller having six-axis control two days before Nintendo launched the Wii (19th Nov 2006 in USA and December in other countries).

Also, the original PS3 was backward compatible with PS1 and PS2 games but when the PS2 BC was not implemented in later consoles all PS3's even up to today could still read PS1 game disks.

Let's see, my PS4 downloaded the update before I even started to use it. When I logged in I was informed that there was an update asking if I wish to update immediately or leave till later. I chose immediately and it took about two to three minutes.

Been gaming on it for quite a few hours now without any hassles.

Even on my PC I get informed of updates (non-intrusive) and I can manually start the update process (I prefer this rather than automatic) w...

Copy pasting from one graphics engine to another is easy. Looking at a drawing or even a 3D scene and duplicating that using a different drawing environment is not.

There have been drawings and a 3D graphical (you actually could move) representation of the Bloodborne hub done using the Unreal graphics engine and IMHO the artist did an exceptional job.

Actually, if you do a Youtube search on the Unreal engine there are plenty of "how too's" b...

@NecoTehSergal

Well, you could get the Unreal engine and try and do the art yourself.

The art we are seeing from "real artists" is usually exceptional (ok some is rubbish) and even though the average person can copy paste it is no mean feat to actually look at a 2D or 3D display/picture and implement that in an entirely different drawing tool.

As an example take a look at htt...
