Why comment on the XB1 when you have an XBox360 on the cover?
Anyway spoilers:
1. Fallout 4 – Released Nov. 10, 2015
2. Rise of the Tomb Raider – Released Nov. 10, 2015
3. The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt – Released May 19, 201
4. Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor – Released Sep. 30, 2014
5. Unravel – Released Feb. 9, 2016
In many respect, I would agree that the above games are excellent except for one thing, they are...
From the article, they are trying to balance the concept of "save anywhere" to saving at checkpoints. This is not as easy as it sounds since if you have a "fair" game and a "save anywhere" you will annoy some of the better gamers who will find games like that no challenge while a checkpoint save will be off-putting to the more casual gamer.
Take the Souls/Borne games which are punishing but fair as an example. You can pretty much save anywhere ...
I will wait for a sale since I have so many games on the backlog that it will be over a year before I can put in the time to play it. I did like the DD Dark Arisen version on the PS3 but for the PS4 I hope they fix up some of the boring quests and allow you to tell all your pawns to just "shut up" during battle (The first couple of times is fine but every time the same one-liners - Sigh!).
Allot more randomization in loot and enemy would be a nice feature as well ...
Dragon's Dogma Dark Arison is IMO a very good game but like all games it does have it's flaws. The most annoying one is the repetitious enemy that respawn in the same place and are exactly the same place and you have little if any choice but to fight them again and again (lots of backtracking) although on occasion you do get some randomization. Granted there is a teleport but on the original game that was expensive at least with Dark Arison teleportation was considerably cheaper. Stil...
You are quite right since most people are not technical especially when it come to computers and like it or not all consoles are computers although the PS4 and XB1 are more closely linked to PC's in that they are x86_64 based.
Still, it does not hurt to have an article like this for the so-called "dumb" ones and a memory jogger for the more technically oriented.
BTW having the ability to change your hard drive without voiding your warranty ...
Assuming most high-quality Nintendo games do fall within the 3G to 15GB size you would still be restricted by the 25GB internal storage unless you get the game on a cartridge or purchase a good performing SD card and even then you are still restricted to the size of the SD card and it's price.
I did read the comment a few years ago that "Star Citizen" could not be played on consoles and that was before the PS4 and XB1 were released (eg. https://arstechnica.com/gam... - Note the date on the article.
What power target are these developers looking at? The way things are going you will need an Intel i9 (ye...
The actual game had an ending although you could replay it twice more from a slightly different perspective. I suppose it is possible to continue where the game left off but I think the main reason for Nintendo registering the Eternal Darkness trademark is to stop copycat games.
I assume you are talking about Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and you would be right in stating that it is an incredibly popular online FPS which runs on the following: Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Macintosh operating systems and Linux. No mention of a PS4 port though.
Not bad for an online FPS which came out in 2012 although there are others which came out years earlier and are still played today. The trouble is if the FPS (or any game for that m...
Playing an online FPS requires a low latency internet connection and yes it is possible with a decent mobile carrier but you are going to be paying for that bandwidth and performance.
Another thing to be aware of when gaming online and especially when you are "on the go" is the fact that online FPS's require a fair amount of user concentration which means that you the player need to be seated and should be free from interruption.
BTW. You c...
Pick the wrong one to kill first and the fight is a lot tougher. You can get NPC help but you do have to be un-hollowed.
I have 16GB DDR4 and have yet to use more than 4GB of it for all the applications that I use although it is very easy to max out CPU, GPU, Memory, Storage I/O and Bus I/O if you run stress test tools.
Actually, there is not that much of a performance gain in overclocking memory and in some respects you may even get instabilities so you have to be very careful when setting up your RAM speeds. Of course overclocking your CPU (assuming you have an unlocked CPU) can have it'...
Well said, my sentiments exactly.
Although Horizon Zero Dawn, NioH, Dark Souls 3 (already got and playing 2), Gravity Rush 2 (already played GR Remastered) and Neir Automata are definitely on my to-do list. My biggest complaint is that there are far too many games available on the PS4 that I am currently playing or want to play in the future.
Personally, if I am in a rush to get through a game then that game is not that interesting and in some cases, I c...
I suppose the best question to ask is "What defines a AAA game?"
Great gameplay and great graphics? Contrary to what some people say games are art and appreciation of any type of art is subjective and dependent on the people (in this case gamers) who are experiencing it.
All games fall into genres, some with multiple sub-genres as well and you will normally find most gamers usually like a few types whilst disdaining others. Sure the free games ...
I do have the PS2 version and one thing that I did find annoying were the target lines which you can turn on (the default) and off in the main menu. If you are new to FF12 then, by all means, stick to the default although when you get a full party (ie. Three and one NPC) and have set up some reasonable "gambits" (basically simple boolean algebra) you can turn the target lines off and the game IMHO really looks good.
Unlike most Final Fantasy games you fight in the...
Like any art form, you have an audience that likes, dislikes and all the shades in between. Of course, you always will have some people that adopt an extream attitude to any art form.
In the Souls and Bloodborne games, you only have one suspend save and you cannot pause the game so if you want a toilet-break you have to either exit the game or get to a relatively safe area and hope you are not invaded by some outsider.
He should play a Souls or Bloodborne game. You actually can save anywhere and the game pretty much does this every few seconds except if you die (and you die a lot unless you have really got gud) you start again at the last bonfire or lantern minus your souls or blood echoes and you have only one chance to get them back again. 🙂
From the article:
"ZeniMax Online Studios has revealed that PC and Mac players who purchase the digital upgrade version of ESO: Morrowind, or the Physical Collector’s Edition, will have the option to begin their adventures in Vvardenfell a little early – starting May 22 – via a special “Early Access” launch of the game."
Basically, all you "plebs" that did not pay for the early digital release or Collector's edition and don't h...
Fully agree. I don't mind helping and using DS1 and DS2 as examples you can get NPC's to help, providing you are unhollowed. Of course depending on where you are you may also attract the attention of invaders both NPC's and online players. I was actually surprised when my character was hollowed and I still got invaded by an NPC in DS2 although I had lit all the torches in the area.
Slight spoiler. In Majula (can take you a few minutes to get to from the start of...
