Releasing a game early usually means that you are eventually going to get patches which may get to be problematic if the patch has to be stored on the main internal storage which out of the 32GB will be approximately 25.9GB http://www.nintendolife.com...

Of course, 25.9GB may be fine for patches of indies and some first party games ...

A 0-10 scale is still better with 5 being a mediocre game with anything less than 5 progressively worse and anything above 5 progressively good. The problem you have is that many critics score a mediocre game as 7 and that unfortunately skews the ratings.

When Zelda Breath of the Wild was being reviewed most critics gave the game 10/10 even though some pointed out some glaring issues which if the game or similar game had been on the other consoles or PC would have probably ...

You are quite right but why give it a 10/10 if the game is not perfect?

Only the "K" and the "X" chips (eg i7-7700K) are unlocked so you are allowed to overclock them although Intel does give the chips recommended clock speeds (one normal and the other overclocked). These chips don't come with a heatsink since it is up to you to purchase one.

Obviously, if you overclock and exceed the recommended maximum clock speed you do stand a good chance of CPU failure although Intel does have a very good thermal cutout in all their...

The original XBox was a 32-bit 733 MHz, custom Intel Pentium III processor https://en.wikipedia.org/wi... so it was basically PC architecture.

I can understand developers saying that they needed to do "a lot" to get the game to run on the XB1. Of course adding in microtransactions would prove to be a pain since you would have to significantly modify the code to allow for th...

There are plenty of new games that don't even push the PS4 to its limits and those that do are usually AAA games that have been years in the making.

I do agree that a 2019 or 2020 PS5 release having full PS4 backward compatibility is a more viable solution for Sony since a one-year delay will bring better and cheaper technology. You have to remember companies like Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony can't just bring out a system at the drop a hat. Design, prototyping, testi...

From the article for those that don't like reading the article:

"Immortal Redneck is a shooter with roguelite elements a la Rogue Legacy. In fact, most of the progression is taken from Rogue Legacy wholesale. Which isn’t entirely a bad thing; that game did it pretty damn good. But it points to a much bigger problem with Redneck: its lack of unique personality – more on that later."

Other sites have rated this game much more highly. However, ...

You are quite right in saying "Both PS4 and Xbox One games must be installed in order to run" but you are totally wrong in stating that they are often 50GB or so. I have over 40 Full sized games and they add up to less than 460GB.

Yes, you can get AAA games at anything from 30GB to 70GB (The Witcher 3 with all DLC) but on average Indies are in the order of a few hundred megabytes to about 10GB. The A and AA games can vary between 3GB to over 20GB. If you only buy ...

The Wii was very popular with the casual gaming market and the Nintendo fans and I was a Nintendo fan (not a rabid one) up to then (never got one). Those casual gamers are now into smartphone gaming and while the Switch can be used as portable most gamers who want portability will stick to their handhelds and smartphones or even tablets.

I won't deny that some casual players will purchase a switch for the novelty (just like the Wii) but the so called "gaming on the...

The Wii U was launched on the 18th November 2012 compared to mid to late November 2013 for the PS4 and XB1 which effectively gave it a one year advantage over both rivals and yet it did not sell very well compared to the others.

So far the Switch has sold well and especially to Nintendo fans but will it sell to the wider gaming audience? The Switch has only been out less than two months (released 3rd March 2017) and we really do need a year to be more certain of its success...

While I do agree with you why would you since you would be better off spending more money on a decent gaming PC including a 4K monitor and you don't have to fight household members for access to the common TV.

Yes, that would be more expensive but unless you are the only household member you do have to make concessions as to the viewing needs of other household members.

The article has not got the price of the Bluray disks correct. They are no were near $1.65 USD per disk in batches of say 700. In fact, I would go as far to say the cost per disk in that instance would be less than 20 cents (USD).

If you or I want to purchase a 25GB (ie. single layer) Bluray disk at retail we can purchase a pack of 25 (Sony Brand) for $10 USD (ie. $0.40 USD per disk)

Since the device is designed to be portable you should consider getting a decent screen protector such as a glass one which is a little more expensive than the film ones but is so much easier to keep clean. There is nothing worse than playing a game when the screen is scratched or even one with fingerprints all over it.

Lets put it this way do you have a mobile phone or even a tablet? If you don't have a screen protector on those devices then you are going to get the sc...

There is a possibility that the SNES mini will be coming out for this holiday season. If this happens the scalpers are going to have a field day.

3314d ago 0 agree4 disagreeView comment

Well, you could pay ridiculous prices to a scalper or just get an emulator (they are free and legal) although the games do require you to get a green parrot and optionally sing sea shanties whilst taking a swig of rum or whiskey. 🙂

There are not many kids that can afford a PlayStation much less an XBox or Switch. Usually, the ones who makes the purchase are the parents or doting grandparents.

Yes I know there are some kids who actually earn or have money (eg. inheritance) but the majority are dependent on their parents or guardian.

@PlayStation_5

Not sure why you got those disagrees since what you stated is correct. http://www.vgchartz.com/gam... I guess there are allot of but hurt fanboys although, to be honest, I can't see why.

Possibly because you quoted the figures from CGChartz which IMHO is fine since you will find it very difficult getting figures from paywalled statistical sites.

That depends on the games you like.

I actually prefer Action/Adventure and RPG's although I can be picky even within those genres. I don't have an issue with online features although full online only can be a bit of a hit (MMORPG's) and miss (Shooters) with me depending on if I see that is good value for me. Of course, I do have to like playing the game and I rarely am into any game for the competition preferring to assist players rather than be nasty to them. ...

So you don't mind paying for PS+, XBox Gold and possibly EA access. How do you find the time to play all the games to justify that purchase?
