The PS4 and XBox can save your game saves (automatically or manually) to the cloud or just to any USB device (recommend 8G and above). Granted that many people don't do this but if you have a problem then you have nobody to blame but yourself.
Even the PS3 and XBox360 could do the above so why doesn't the Switch allow players to save their game saves externally.
Actually, having the ability to be portable is a double-edged sword since it is not th...
Actually one of the main reasons to get a PS4pro over the XB1x (stupid name IMHO) is the fact that you have to wait five months for the XB1x while you can buy a PS4pro now and save $100 USD.
Of course, you could wait for thoese five months and save possibly $150 USD when the PS4pro is dropped in price with possibly one or more games to sweeten the deal.
Still, to be fair the XB1x is not a bad tech which IMHO is actually worth the $499 USD if you are in th...
I was going to comment on what you said but "SpaceRanger" beat me to it.
@SpaceRanger
Well said. 🙂
Where did that come from? The PS4pro can play all PS4 games and the PS4 can play all PS4pro games. The consoles are mutually exclusive.
Yes, the PS4pro can display many games at higher resolutions either though native 4K or Chequerboard Rendering although HDR is supported on all PS4's. All PS4's can output 4K movies at 30fps. We are still waiting on Netflix to provide the software so that 4K movies can be streamed.
I did like the original and would definitely give it a "good" rating although there were other games around that time that I liked more. The game did end on a WTF (you had to see the full ending, not just the end credits) cliffhanger.
Making a new Beyond good and evil as a prequel is IMHO just plain stupid since it would be so much better resolving the cliffhanger or WTF ending of the original game.
IMHO the game was as you say "OK" and there were better or at least just as good games around at the time. I did find the last battle to be quite interesting and the ending was definitely an "ending" with a WTF moment (you had to watch the full ending) as to what could happen next but the main story ended.
@Makish
If you are going to wait another year to purchase a 4K/UHD TV I would suggest waiting till 2019/20 for an 8K display. If you are an early adopter or have more money than sense you can get an 8K monitor now for the cheap price of $5000 USD http://www.144hzmonitors.co... Admittedly this display has only a 60 Hz refresh but give it two years.
After all...
By the time the XB1x is released in November 2017 the PS4pro will be $150 USD cheaper and both the PS4slim and XB1slim will be at least $250 USD cheaper.
Yes, the XB1x will sell but it will definitely be under stiff competition from the XB1slim not to mention the PS4slim and PS4pro.
You are missing an important fact. The XB1x "will" be the most powerful console but until it is released in November the PS4pro is still the most powerful console.
The original XBox360 did not have an internal drive originally although later iterations of the machine allowed a proprietary disk drive to be attached. The PS3 from release allows the purchaser to change the disk drive using standard parts without voiding their warranty. The PS3 was for a short time one of the cheapest Bluray players on the market.
The PHAT PS3 was also the first console to support backward compatibility across three console generations in that it could pl...
@itsmebryan
Well the PS4pro is out now and by the time the XB1x is released in November 2017 it will have been out for about a year and will most likely be $100USD (as of right now) to possibly 150USD cheaper plus some games. As for power, obviously the XB1x (stupid name IMHO) will be the more powerful when it is released and until it is released the PS4pro is still the most powerful console.
You are quite right. I can imagine the non-gamer parent/grandparent going into a store to purchase a game console for their little Johnny and being met with the choice of the XB1s and XB1x and a $250 USD price differential with possibly two or three games included with XB1s what console do you think the non-gamer adult would purchase?
Of course to muddy the waters completely you will have the PS4pro which at the worst will be $100 USD cheaper than the XB1x (the PS4s will be...
Sorry, he is wrong.
I think the following is more appropriate. The XB1x at $499 USD is going to be a hard sell to the average person who wishes to play games especially when you consider that the PS4 pro is $100 USD cheaper and most likely $150 USD cheaper when the XB1x launches. On top of that, you also will have the PS4slim and the XB1slim at around $250 USD cheaper and probably two or three games with them.
If you are into gaming and can't afford...
We are talking about a gaming console here. I would fully agree that $499 USD in the face of the $100 USD cheaper PS4pro (most likely $150 cheaper when the XB1x releases) and at least $250 USD cheaper PS4 and XB1 is going to be a difficult sell.
If you are a gamer and think $499 USD is too expensive then you really should not be into playing computer games. Actually, a larger expense is going to be the display since a decent 55" (recommended is 65" and larger) UHD...
If you still have your original version and have a machine to play it on go for it since it won't cost you anything. Of course, if you don't have the game do you really think that Sony will let you have the game for free?
Even the much vaulted backward compatibility on the XB1 is not exactly free since you either have to have the original disk media or you purchase the game from the Microsoft store unless Microsoft has made the game available for free to XBox Live s...
People will still buy the XB1x at $499 USD although how many when you can get the XB1s or the PS4slim for less than half that price that is going to be interesting. Even the PS4pro is around $100 USD cheaper and I would be surprised if the PS4pro is not over $150USD plus cheaper with one or two games come November this year.
Even now unless you have a 4K/UHD TV or monitor there is not that much of an incentive to purchase a PS4pro and especially an XB1x unless you are plan...
The actual article is pure laziness. If you are going to do a comparison between the PS4pro and the XB1x at least get all the information like gamespot https://www.gamespot.com/ar... did on the 11th June 2017. Producing a table with "TBA" is just not acceptable. Basically, you cannot do a fair intercomparison with "TBA".
Oh, I...
Well, Sony will (most likely) be announcing Final Fantasy XII (releasing 7th July 2017) which was a PS2 game. Also, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time was just released in the US (May 2017) and that was also a PS2 game.
The XB1x will be the most powerful console when it eventually comes out but until then the PS4pro still holds the crown. The way Microsoft spins it is that the XB1x is now the most powerful console even though it is not out yet.
I will make a prediction (polishes crystal ball) that within 8K displays will be reasonably affordable rather than for the early adopter as they are now. http://www.144hzmonitors.co... (going cheap for $5000 USD).
Personally, I would be surprised if the PS5 and the next Xbox or whatever they are going to call it will support 8K although 4K will be the norm although if there i...
