Instead of "punishing" I would say "tough but fair" since all enemies are bound by the same rules that you are. As an example, it took me over thirty tries before I beat Farther Gascoigne but on my second playthrough, I beat him the first time. I was amazed to see my son beat him in less than a minute and he just used visceral attacks.
BTW. I could have read up on strategy but I rather prefer to find out the hard way that way I get more challenge from th...
@USMC_POLICE
I would assume you are talking about the creature near the first gate you open which would take to back to the Clinic.
Like the Souls games, Bloodborne does throw in enemies that can one hit kill you unless you are really good. To be fair you can ignore these enemies for now unless you are really good.
Take Demos Souls as an example:
The area you start off in (not the tutorial) is not overly hard although...
People in a household have to compromise when sharing a display device such as a TV. When you have a VR headset you don't have to compromise since the device is worn by a single person and in the case of the PSVR other household members can see what is happening on the TV and to a limited degree take part if the game permits.
Bloodborne and also the Souls games are really not that hard since in the majority of cases can summon NPC's and online players to help in difficult areas and even boss battles. Of course, there are some optional bosses that you have to fight by yourself.
In the case of Bloodborne, you have an extremely high chance of dying when you face the werewolf at the start. You can beat it with your fists or just run away but if you die it's no big deal since you respawn in H...
If the game is single player with no online capability I don't care but if the game has achievements then skipping difficult sections should be flagged as well or maybe we should have games with a "select to win" at the start of the game.
Surprisingly there are people (I refuse to call these players) who would love to press a button to win to feed their egos and are fair game for the "Pay to Win" developer/publisher.
I have played enough of Demons Souls that I can get many hours into the game without dying although when I did die (it's envitable) it was my own fault since a slight lapse of concertation and you are gone.
The one place I usually leave till last is the Valley Of Defilement where you have to brave the rickety platforms which even if you are a high level you can easily die in a fall, then comes the poison swamp (don't even bother healing the poison use regeneration ...
A remaster or better yet a reboot of Demon Souls and Dark Souls both at 60 fps 1080p resolution would be great. If it can be done for Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin then it could be done for the previous games.
I think why many of people did not like DS2 was the fact that the lock-on system was fine for one on one battles but when you had lots of enemies you really needed to turn it off and use the right-hand joystick. In fact, there are enemies that you cannot lock...
I suggest being very careful since the links to the "cheap DS4 controller" show them at $59.99 USD.
Personally, I prefer getting controllers at a bricks and mortar place since you can be pretty sure the controller is genuine and you do get a twelve-month warranty on them.
Yep can't forget Halo Wars 2 which sold about 290K for the XB1 and about 10K for the PC. I guess it must be a really popular game. 😊
To be fair the original Halo Wars sold about 2.64 million on the XBox360 and I won't deny that the Forza series (1 through 6 and Horizon) has over 26 million (XBox360 and XB1) in sales.
The PS4pro is also been sold now with trade-ins.
Come November there will be a huge price differential of $250 and $300 USD between the XB1s and the XB1x and that will not include pack-ins for the XB1s to complete with the inevitable price drop of the PS4s and PS4pro which in turn will most likely have pack-ins as well.
I think you will find a trade-in from a PS4 to a PS4pro will result in you paying about $150 to $200 USD (this is now) but if you have an...
Could not agree more since I have been saying in my posts since the XB1x launch date was announced that it will be very likely that the PS4s and the PS4pro will be reduced by $50 USD from November.
Actually, the XB1x's main competition will most likely be the XB1s which will most likely be reduced to between $200 USD and $250 USD with pack-in games to compete with the PS4 which will most likely have pack-in games as well.
IMHO any game which gets close to 100% is pure hype or looking through rose tinted spectacles.
For me, an acceptable game starts at 5/10 (may want to rent first) and as more points are added you get 6/10 (good), 7/10 (very good), 8/10 (excellent) and 9/10 (must buy for those that like the genres).
If I was scoring FF12 I would give it a score between 8 and 9.
You are quite right FF12 does not have random encounters since you can see all enemy on screen. The only way to start a battle is to attack (some enemy won't attack you) or have an enemy attack you.
if you have seen any gameplay you will see attack line from all parties including enemies. This is fine for the first hour or so but you can easily turn them off (I found them annoying) especially when you get to program your characters correctly (you need to pick up or purc...
@Zeref
Crackdown (XBox360 - 2007) sold 1.7 million
Crackdown 2 (XBox360 - 2010) sold 1.12 million
Acceptable but I would not be waving the "But people loved Crackdown 1" flag.
Yes, Crackdown 3 will sell but how many in a year? Only time will tell.
Microsoft like all companies is responsible to their shareholders so while the company as a whole is worth billions it can't just shift funds without questions being asked.
You are correct in saying that the XB1x may be sold at a loss since the tech is very good although selling at a loss is a balancing act since you have to offset that loss with profits from the sale of games and other related services. Again this is where shareholders have a say.
If...
I would not be surprised if there is at least a $50 USD price drop for the PS4pro and possibly a $25 USD to $50 USD price drop for the PS4s. Of course the same would also be true for the XB1s which could price the XB1x at $300 dearer making that difference untenable for the majority of prospective XBox purchasers.
Note: Keep in mind that the majority of households have an HDTV, not a 4K TV and that Microsoft has promised (they could do a 180) that all games that run on the ...
Australia (population approx 24 million) is small potatoes in the console market but they are in the same time zones as Asia, China and Japan which do favor the PlayStation brand.
You also have to consider that according to Microsoft games on the XB1x will also be playable on the XB1 and XB1s unless they do an 180 which would not be a good idea when you consider that there are around 30 million XB1's out there and you would not want to annoy your existing customer base....
If you can't tell the difference unless you do a side by side comparison then what is the issue.
Actually, there are plenty of PlayStation games that can run on the PS4pro that will do native 4K and 60 fps.
Enjoy your five months wait.
A 2D Dark Souls game which from what I have read is a really good tough but fair game if you are into the Souls/Bloodborne genres. So for people who are going to get this game, it's time to "git gud" again. 😊
