Well, it was available to install although I did not know it was available to install till after I finished playing a game so it did not inconvenience me in the slightest.

After the update was downloaded you have to manually install so again there is no inconvenience and this time all that I needed to activate the update was a reboot. This is exactly the same procedure I do with my PC which runs a Linux based operating system.

BTW. I have not had a proble...

Actually, the game reminds me of Zelda Windwaker with a revamped Final Fantasy 10 soundtrack.

As for finishing the game in 11 hours did you do it with a guide and did you get 100% in all quests?

Wait till the first video is finished and the thumbnails pop up before selecting the next one.

Unreal 4 seems to be getting a lot of love lately although IMHO deservedly so. You can actually download Unreal 4 for free although you should always read the EULA which is quite reasonable. Afterall if you are going to make money using the Unreal engine then you should contribute (see the EULA) to the developers.

It is also worth doing a search on "Unity&q...

@Godmars290

What game have we seen Microsoft do something like that? Oh, wait! wasn't there a game starting with "S" that they did exactly that then state it was a cancellation we were better off for. 😉

Portability is fine but most people using their smart phones to do this. Try playing in a crowded train or bus especially if you are standing which is what a typical commuter in a city environment would do. As for cars, the cops take a dim view of drivers that are gaming although they may put them in for a Darwin award.

What about planes? I will concede this but let's be real here how many people fly as a passenger on a daily, weekly or even monthly basis?

Which one the SNES (fairly easy) or the Sega Megadrive (Genesis) which IMHO was more challenging? Still, I did enjoy them both.

Nintendo does have recommended MicroSD specifications for the Switch https://www.nintendo.com.au... although you can purchase "cheap" low spec MicroSD cards but don't complain if the game performance is not that great.

You can buy games on physical media but if you compare the OEM costs of Bluray disks to MicroSD cards that meet the recommended specifications by Nintendo https://www.nintendo.com.au... is considerably more hence the reason why you will be paying more for a game on a Switch MicroSD card compared to the same game on a Bluray disk.

Even if you opt for a digital dow...

Do you honestly expect the other console manufacturers to just sit still?

No matter if MicroSD cards do come down in price the price of and relative size of solid state drives will drop faster and have a significantly better performance and capacity with current averages for a standard SSD being about 500MB/sec read and 480MB/sec write compared to 80~100MB/sec read/write for high end (read expensive) MicroSD cards.

It is highly doubtful that smart phone s...

You are right and wrong at the same time.

If you are the type of person who only purchases AAA games which vary from 35GB to over 50GB you are probably going to fill up your storage on your PS4 or XB1 very quickly depending on the number of those games you buy.

Basically, Indi games are in the region of hundreds of megabytes upwards with a median of 2GB to 15GB, next comes the third party games with game sizes starting from a few gigabytes upwards with a ...

May I ask what is a normal MicroSD card?

The following are the type of MicrosSD cards that Nintendo recommends and they are not normal https://www.nintendo.com.au... You can get cheap MicroSD cards but they don't have anywhere near the performance Nintendo recommends.

The PS2 only used proprietary memory cards to store game saves. There were some games you could install on a proprietary hard disk which you would have to purchase separately but the majority of games played directly from the game CD or DVD.

The PS3 allowed the gamer to play directly from the CD, DVD (PS1 and PS2 games) and the Bluray disk with the hard disk being used to store saves and updates (I am only talking about games in this case). In addition, you could play a dow...

Nintendo doesn't produce the MicroSD cards although they do have a say in the specs of the cards they use with pre-installed games.

Nintendo also recommends MicroSD cards that have higher performance specifications than generic MicroSD cards. https://www.nintendo.com.au... Higher performance means greater cost.

The game still has not been ported to the XB1 although it has been available on Microsoft Windows (PC), OSX (Mac), PS4 and Linux since the 25th September 2015 (almost two years) so "no" Microsoft did not suck this game away. https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...

The total download size for SOMA on Steam is 11GB, however, the total storage size will be about 25GB so for the Switch version it would have to come on SD card or you would have to purchase a suitably sized SD card for download purposes.

For PC owners the minimum requirements are:
- Windows 7 64-Bit edition.
- Intel Core i3 @ 2.0 GHz or AMD A6 @ 2.0 GHz or better.
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M Series @ 1GB or AMD Radeon HD 5770 @ 1GB or better.

May I ask why do you want Sony to increase the speed of the Bluray reader which as you have correctly pointed out (although you used the wrong symbols) is 27MB/sec?

The Bluray reader in the PS4 and PS4pro is only used to play Bluray movies or install games onto the internal or external storage device which in the majority of cases is a 500GB or 1TB hard disk drive. Of course, you can always upgrade your internal drive to one with a larger capacity and performance.

I prefer a separate display that allows me to avoid conflicts in my household. My separate display or monitor allows me to view my PC windows and at the touch of a button, I can connect to my PS4.

It just so happens that because your PC monitor is close to your face there is no need to have a huge screen which saves money although you can if you wish and can afford one. The household TV is normally a shared device and if you are serious about a 4K display you should conside...

The article did say INR 3,49,990 which is a typo and should read "INR 349,990" which when converted is $5472 USD or €4546 Euro. A great status symbol.

I could build a gaming rig that would easily exceed that laptop's specs for half that price and still have money left over to get a practical laptop for those rare times I want portability in some PC applications such as web surfing and the odd video I which to run.

The specs of this laptop are pretty good but anyone interested should ask a couple of questions. Such as:

1) Why do I need a laptop in the first place?
- If the answer is "I need it to do work related tasks" then why don't you get your work to buy you one?
- Most of the time if you purchase a laptop then it is for you, not your work.

2) Do I need a gaming laptop?
- This can be a very difficult question to answer bu...
