Err, Dragon Quest Builders is a multiplatform game and was released 28th January 2016.
I think it would be appropriate to say how much space you will need on your internal storage or does the Zelda Breath of the Wild microSD card have the ability to be written to?
BTW. The size of the base game for BotW is about 13.4GB
The power of the cloud was viable in the 1980's but you are quite right the delivery speeds for the vast majority of customers is still not viable.
For the US net neutrality is effectively dead and what is even more galling to the US consumer is the fact that the people who did this are insultingly laughing at you. If you can vote, take an interest (not a rabid one) in politics and definitely take this into consideration.
Remember in a democratic coun...
Already got it.
Some will say it is not as good as the original Dark Souls and Demon Soles, however, it is still a really good game and 60fps does make a difference. Time to "git gud" again. 😎
For those that have not played DS2, you can go directly to Majula without having to fight anything and visit the obelisk to check out how many deaths have occurred since the game started (I think it's over 300,000,000 to date).
You are quite right Microsoft's overall revenue is higher than Sonys, however, the XBox gaming division has access to a small portion of that revenue and like it or not Microsoft is still beholden to their investors.
At the moment Microsoft does not make a royalty on PC computer games unless those games were financed and/or developed and/or sold by Microsoft.

I do agree that PSNow should allow games to be digitally downloaded and played off the PS4's storage in the same that PS+ does. Basically Software as a Service (SaaS).
Unfortunately, global network services are still not good enough to support PSNow for most people and for the US now that Network Neutrality has been removed it is "possible" that streaming services will be severely impacted. If you are old enough to vote now i...
Well PSN for Australia/Asia (Possibly the same for UK/Europe) is offering a 15-month for a 12-month price of PSN and you can stack them.
Remember PSN like XBox Live are worldwide and are a network of multiple linked servers (ie. The Cloud). What happens in one set of time zones may not impact other timezones.
I did not even notice this and I was playing up to 6:00 am (I live in Australia) this morning and I was back online at 3:00 pm. Admittedly I was playing a standalone game but whenever the network goes down I do get a popup to inform me and I did not get a popup.
If you buy a digital game that is normally standalone or has network features you are not prevented from playing that game if the network goes down. Obviously, any network features (eg.the Souls/Bloodborne series) of the game will not work but everything else will.
Games like PUBG, Neverwinter, Overwatch etc (digital or media) are effectively dead during a network or server outage.
Like it or not it makes no difference if you install your game via physica...
While I do agree with some of what was said in the article. I do agree with what you said in that it would be stupid for Sony to bring out a new console before 2020 since the PS4 is selling very well.
The article did allude to the following points.
1. Backwards AND Forwards - Compatibility is a great selling point at the start of a generation, however, it only becomes a nice value-added feature further into the generation. Sure there will always be games ...
@Professor_K
The PlayStation 1 was a CD player, not a DVD player.
The PS2 was a DVD and CD player.
The PS3 could play Bluray (BD), DVDs and CDs.
You are right about the cartridge problem (expensive and limited to 64MB) compared to the CD (cheaper and can hold up to 650MB.
You could look at Immersion's patent which is really a rehash of original haptic feedback which from a patent perspective goes back many years (here is one from 1975 - https://www.google.com/pate... ).

Lair was one of the few early PS3 games that actually used the six-axis feature of the dual shock 3. The problem many players had was the fact that they were more used to using the analog sticks of previous controllers and consequently many players found that using the six-axis feature was not intuitive.
Even though the six-axis feature is available on the dual shock 3 and 4 very few games actually use it. Two games that do are Ratchet and Clank - Tools of Destruction (PS3)...

You can have HDR on a PC https://www.youtube.com/wat...
To be fair you do need the appropriate hardware (ie. graphics card) and a game that supports HDR. Of course, it should go without saying that you also need a monitor/TV that supports HDR.
Nier Automata is available for the PS4 and PC but not the XB1.
@Enjoigamin
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will be available for the PS4 and PC but not the XB1.
Just because a game is made to run on the PC (normally under a Microsoft Windows operating system) does not mean Microsoft gets a royalty like they would get if the game was developed to run on the XB1.
Any game developed for the PC is royalty free and the on...
Good point.
I see "fobes.com" and don't click.
Backwards compatibility (BC) is a console seller only at the start of the generation. Both Microsoft and Sony said that their XB1 and PS4 respectively prior to their introduction will not support BC although Microsoft did introduce BC two years later. Of course, by that time BC on the XB1 became a nice value-added feature but not a must-have or a console seller.
Even when Microsoft did bring out a form of BC for the XB1 this did not translate into improved sales.

If you need a joystick then you can always purchase the "Navigator" it is relatively cheap https://en.wikipedia.org/wi... It always amazes me that few people seem to know about this peripheral although you can use a dual shock controller instead.
The problem of using a dual shock controller instead of the "Navigator when using the PSMove should be obvious (try holding the dual shock...
The most important thing a heat sink can do is to facilitate the movement of heat from one source to another.
Vapour cooling compared to liquid cooling can be a better solution however it is more expensive. No matter what solution is chosen the fact remains that there is still a need to dissipate the heat into the surrounding air so you need a radiator that is fairly large or a smaller one that is fan assisted. If that final radiator is blocked (eg. dust, insects, etc) the...
