Played the first one three times and since it runs at a solid 60fps it is great fun to play although I have found I am not very good at throwing boxes, drums, etc. Still, I got gold in all the other events.

Even getting gold in an event is a humbling experience when you compare your results with the world. There are some people who are really exceptional and I don't think I would be wrong in stating that the six-axis control is essential when trying to achieve best time...

It is possible to have separate applications or even virtual machines that are associated with different games.

A physical machine does have costs associated with it such as floor space, heating, cooling, software and hardware maintenance just to name a few. However, applications and virtual machines don't have a physical cost although they do require software maintence, overall they are fairly cheap to maintain.

Natural for some can be uncomfortable for others.

Like it or not our hands are symmetrical and with any controller, your hand and thumb positions are dependent on what is commonly used/preferred for a particular game.

I would say that if you have come from using an XBox controller to using a Dual Shock controller you may find that the layout is not to your liking then this Onyx wireless controller is definitely a must buy for you. Just remember that the O...

I don't see an inbuilt speaker. A few games actually do use that speaker and not having a light bar means that the controller is useless if you want to use a VR headset and play a VR game.

As for not having a headphone jack, you do lose some functionality but I would think that the majority of gamers would prefer using a Bluetooth headset with microphone. Still for those that want to use a headset and microphone that plugs into the controller that option is not availabl...

At least you will now have the option.

Personally, I have always found the cross pad to be very uncomfortable (ie. Nintendo) and imprecise for extended play while the cross pad (ie. D-Pad) on the dual shock controllers was much more comfortable and precise. As for the analog sticks, I prefer symmetrical while others prefer offset and that is fine.

Could not agree more. Pretty well anyone who wanted to play RPG's on a console had to get a SNES. To be fair the Sega Megadrive/Genesis had a decent collection of RPG's as well so having both consoles gave you the best of all worlds.

Lufia came in two parts.
1) Lufia & The Fortress of Doom
2) Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals

What is interesting is that Lufia II is actually a precursor to Lufia so if you really wanted linearit...

As far as PS1/PS2 CD media emulation goes. The PS4 can not read CD's so you would have to download the file and I can't see that happening unless you pay for said file.

With regard to PS2 games on DVD the PS4 can read DVD's so an emulator may be possible to get a certified PS2 emulator (hint Sony! 😎) but somehow I don't think this will happen since Sony is selling for digital download selected PS2 games. If you are not in a hurry to digitally downloa...

When you are on a roll like Sony it would be stupid to bring out a PS5 any earlier than 2020.

Hopefully, the PS5 will come with a 2TB or better solid state disk (SSD) rather than a hard disk drive (HDD) which will allow for plus five times faster loading times. The longer the wait for the PS5 the better chance it will have an SSD other than an HDD.

It may also be possible for the PS5 to have 16GB of memory although at the moment memory has increased in pr...

I think games should stand on their merit, not by the country that they were made in.

As for saying "Japanese games have a distinctive feel to them compared to the western counterparts" that also depends. Take the "Atelier" games they are developed by Gust and have a distinctly Japanese anime style, while games like the Souls series have a western medieval (Bloodborne is victorian Lovecraftian horror) feel even though they are made by a Japanese company....

With the PC it is usually cheaper and you get a better performance if you get a 3.5 inch HDD compared to a 2.5 inch HDD. Of course, SSD's or in some cases M2's are the best choice in terms of performance (over five times faster) but they are still expensive compared to HDD's.

If you have any issue with your Switch like any device that is under warranty organize with the dealer to get it replaced or repaired. Sure it may be appropriate to advise others of possible problems but it is much more appropriate to get any problems seen too.

Normally warranty on electronic devices is a year (depends on the country you live in) and the Switch was released on the 3rd March 2017 so there is no excuse for not contacting Nintendo support.

I take it your PS4 is not under warranty? They are not that expensive brand new.

You are quite right in that the 60GB PS3 will play PS1 (all PS3's will do this), PS2 and (of course) PS3 games. However, since the 60GB PS3 is around eleven years old I would definitely recommend getting it refurbished otherwise you are asking for trouble.

BTW. I can't find error code "CE-3214". 3080d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

@Pantz

I don't care if Forza 7 has the best detail and performance of any racing game especially when I have no interest in racing games.

Hopefully, by the time the PS5 is released SSD's which have at least five times the performance of HDD's will have a similar cost per gigabyte.

I won't deny that a PS5 will be able to play some quite resource hungry games but the problem is that most games today are not that resource hungry and can easily be handled by the likes of the base PS4.

When the PS5 finally does release there will be some games made that will make use of its "power?" but those games are probably going to take longer (hence increased costs) to develop compared to games that are cheaper to make and require fewer resources.

WOW, King's Field! Now that takes me back 😎. Those (only one and four) games are the ones that actually got me interested in the Souls/Borne games.

It depends.

The original Dark Souls is the only Souls game (includes Demos Souls) that I could easily get to Anor Londo at level 15 without cheating (others can do it at level one) while the other games almost force you to keep leveling.

I personally found Dark Souls to be much harder than Demons Souls although to be fair I disliked the "swamp" areas of all the games. It should be noted when I said "disliked" I should point out that t...

For those that don't know you can find out the total number of deaths when you look at the large obelisk that is overlooking the sea/ocean in Majula. The number can change sometimes dramatically (ie. tens) over the course of a few seconds.

To get there after creating your character you only need to exit the cave and keep walking (don't enter any cave that has a fog wall) through a cave and then with the sea on your right keep walking till you come to Majula (you wi...

Actually, the only game out of what you have given is Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen (PS3 version) which was really good. I have played the PS2 version of HACK which if I remember correctly was quite good as well.

I have noticed that Hack GU HD is available for the PS4 which is basically four games although from what I have heard/seen in the short trailer the spoken language is Japanese only (the PS2 version I played was in English) with English subtitles. Is that the case?...
