If you have a PS+ account from at least April 2018 then you would have no excuse for not playing Bloodborne, assuming you do like "From Software" games. Of course, you really do need to "git gud". 😎
Really?
I would not say that the launch PS3 was a rip off for what you got.
- How about Bluray (cheapest Bluray player in the market at the time).
- Inbuilt WiFi.
- HDMI output. Updatable later via a firmware upgrade.
- Optical audio connection.
- User swappable hard disk.
- No power brick (inbuilt power supply).
- Support for SD cards (although to be honest I did not find this useful)
- Origi...
In the high definition market for the PS3, XBox360 and Wii, Sony came in first place. The Wii which did lead but was only standard definition.
Hmm, I did not know a product like this existed https://www.destructoid.com... but then again I do remember the original NES controller and how putting on extender sleeves made playing long play gaming much more comfortable for the hands. I was surprised when the SNES controller came out and I actually found the controller was reasonably comfortable. 😎
BTW. I have ...
Actually a good 4K or even an 8K (yes they are out now) TV can upscale a 1080p, 720p or even a standard definition output.
Sure it is best if the input to a UHD TV is native but using fairly good upscaling techniques such as "checkerboard rendering" will still produce acceptable results depending on what is being upscaled.
You are quite right in pointing out that the PS4 is not a handheld like the Nintendo Switch however because the PS4 is rela...
I have not played GoW (Kratos) "yet" which is on my to-do list.
The issue I find (ie. first world problems 😎) is that I have too many full games and having a PS+ account only exacerbates the problem. Surprisingly I have not spent all that much on games.
Oh well back to Dark Souls II (yes I know it's "Dudes in armor" but it is still great fun) but I haven't played DS III, Horizon Zero Dawn or NiOH yet.
It is very risky to bring out any book, movie or game that is religiously controversial since you are definitely going to upset some people.

If the PS5 has x86_64 architecture which is what the PS4 has then it would be crazy for Sony not to support backward compatibility since that feature does sell consoles at the start of a new generation. Later while BC is still a nice value-added feature it is not a console seller since games then take over.
A major problem is the current price of graphics cards which actually have increased in price due to many higher end cards being used in cryptocurrency mining https://www.tomshardware.co...
Coupled with that if you look at the cheaper laptops/tablets it is very common to see memories of 4GB instead of 8GB which would be what you would have expected if memory p...
I don't think there would be much of a difference between how the voice actresses that do anime and games feel. Afterall it is a job. There can be quite a lot of adult content that sometimes is present in even in anime for children. This is why you may get dubbing in some anime that is sanitised over the original Japanese words.
I am still waiting on the "toaster" and/or "fridge" edition. 😎
I can understand watching a stream of a particular boss battle that you have had difficulty with but watching a stream just for the sake of watching is IMHO a waste of time since you may as well go and watch a movie or show.
Personally, I like active (ie. games) entertainment rather than passive (ie. game streams and movies) entertainment.
You could even throw in the Souls/Borne games since they are basically single-player with RPG and optional online features.
If you look at the Desktop/Laptop market Microsoft dominates with about 88% followed by MacOS (8.7%) then Linux (2.2%). 2958d ago 6 agree1 disagreeView comment
If you have either a PS4 and/or XB1 and have an internet connection to either console then Microsoft and Sony will be capture statistical data. Of course, it is possible to limit data collection but not all.
Basically, the XB1 runs the Windows 10 operating system which has been designed to collect data although it is possible to opt out to a limited extent. Yes, I am well aware Microsoft apologists will point to Google Chrome and how it can collect data, however, it is fair...
I think you have some concepts wrong.
If you are talking about refresh rates which are in "Hertz" (ie. Hz) you normally are talking about your display which could be a monitor or TV.
When you talk about frames per second (ie. fps) you should be talking about the output of your console or PC.
Basically, the maximum refresh rate of your display dictates the approximate frame rate that the display can handle. As an example, if y...
The picture shown is actually part of a cutscene so it not a good comparison.
Now if we could see a Blight-town comparison video that would be telling.
The article does not really explain how BC works on the XB1.
The following article goes into more detail https://www.pocket-lint.com...
Basically, you put your XBox360 game disk into the XB1 and providing you have logged into your XBox account XBox Live will download the converted game to yo...
What has a 4K Bluray player to do with gaming?
I have had my PS4 for over two and a half years and have never once played a DVD or Bluray movie on it. Even my PS3 (2006) FAT model I have played less than ten movies on it and most of them were for my wife.
I won't deny that a 4K Bluray player is a value-added feature but I sort of use my gaming machines to well, play games so it would be a waste for me.
Games preferences are subjective. What some gamers like other gamers may not like and vice-versa.
Since you like Tenchu type games which have a strong stealth component you may like the Dishonored games or Deus Ex (was free for PS+ subscribers). I do agree that even if you are not that keen on a particular PS+ free game it is still worth putting in your library just-in-case.
