There are many people this world who are lactose intolerant. Similarly, there are people who find excessive grinding in a game to be annoying. Yes, some grinding, especially in a role playing game, is tolerable and in some cases expected, but too much grinding can ruin the experience.
Jim Sterling on his Jimquisition of Red Dead Redemption 2 is quite interesting.

His take is that the game is very good and highly detailed, but sometimes ridiculous attention to detail starts to actually get in the way of the game.
Err. Do we really know what the next console of Microsoft is going to be called? I do think that the name PlayStation 5 (ie. PS5) is almost a given.
So far we have XBox, Xbox360 and XBoxOne.
Note: Yes I know about "slim" and the "X" editions but the above are reflective of the particular generation proving Microsoft can't count. 🎃
You should know that all PS3's will play PS1 games and you can use analog or HDMI output. You can even emulate the PS1 memory cards (as many as you want) and can smooth the output of the display signal thereby reducing graininess which can look awful on an HD TV.
Of course, that would mean purchasing the PS1 games (usually second hand) which should (possibly) be relatively cheap. The only problem is the PS1 disks are CD's and don't have the protective coating th...
The first paragraph describes my experience of the "pit" in Dark Souls 2 although the lizards were not that much of a threat to me since I have had experience with them in Dark Souls 1. You really need to be fast and dispatch them quickly. What destroyed me was the mob of rats after the second bonfire which IMHO is fairly easy to get too. That caused me to think about how to approach the mob differently. Rather than use a direct hack and slash approach I used a hit and run technique...
You can get NPC help as well in certain areas of the Souls games as well as other player help if you are online which can make the game considerably easier, however, if you are online you could get invaded so "player beware".
Sometimes you have to defeat a particular NPC or talk to them to get help at a later stage. I won't deny a purist or skilled player may not seek help but when you are facing a mob or very tough boss one or two NPC help at certain times ca...
The Kings Field games were from a first-person perspective and to be honest I loved KF1 (PS1) and KF4 (PS2). However, while you can compare some features of the Kings Field series to the Dark Souls Series there were radical differences with the most glaring one being the Dark Souls series was from a third person perspective.
In the Kings Field series, you could only save at specific places and if you die you only start again from your last save. In Dark Souls the feature of...
I found the best way to play The Witcher 3 is to play on the hardest mode (Death March) since that is the only way you can really appreciate finding (the Witcher schools quests) and/or getting your armor and weapons made. In addition, you are basically forced to learn how to use your potions and spells properly.
If you find "Death March" just too difficult you could try "Blood and Broken Bones" which is a lesser difficulty although I don't recommend ...
8 to 10 times the power of a Console?
Well, I suppose if you have the money (usually a lot) but there are diminishing returns on your investment since no matter how powerful your PC is today come tomorrow someone will have a more powerful one. Of course, you really do have to ask the question as to what you really need a PC for.
I do agree that for next-gen consoles 16GB or more memory should be the norm. Unfortunately, memory has dramatically increased i...
No, I would not say the game is perfection (no game is) unless you are looking at it through "rose tinted glasses". However, IMHO the game is still a very good game and like the Original Dark Souls it should be remastered and the servers switched back on again.
Of course like all Souls games you can play without the online component but (again MHO) that online capability does add to the playability of the game.
Not only Legend of Dragoon is PS1 but all PS3's can play the game if you have the media.
Is that why Microsoft backed the HD-DVD?
By backing HD-DVD even though they never integrated a player into their XBox360 (they had an external one) Microsoft muddies the waters in the format wars. Yes, the original PS3 was expensive but it was still the cheapest Bluray player at the time and it had inbuilt WiFi, optical 7.1 channel stereo as well as a user swappable hard drive.

That is one of the many reasons I don't run a Microsoft operating system on my laptop or desktop.
I run Fedora 28 (the latest release) which is a very good distribution, however, I would not recommend this for the novice unless they have some familiarity with filesystem setups (It's actually pretty easy but some people don't like to learn). At least the OS I use does not by default phone home.
The only downside of a Linux distribution is that ...
While I do agree that Star Citizen appears to be a con job I can understand an investment (probably a bad choice of a word here) if you the investor would get a share of the profits from the general sale of the game.
Of course before investing in anything it would pay to do your homework first. Unfortunately, some people don't check, but to be fair even what could be considered a solid investment if the managers of said investment are corrupt or just flippant with the ...
You are correct but there are specific conditions for women to drive in Saudi Arabia. Such as:
"Women have to adhere to strict dress codes, must not associate with unrelated men, and if they want to travel, work or access healthcare they must be accompanied by - or receive written permission from - a male guardian." https://www.bbc.com/news/wo...
Yes, sounds real...
If you are referring to the Republicans in the US Congress trying to scapegoat violent games and movies rather than bring in gun reform then "yes" I would agree with you. In fact, it is easier to demonize games rather than look and act on the real problems.
What next "Rock and Roll"? -- Oh wait! 🤔
How about adding the Dark Souls 1, 2 and 3. Yes, they are on the XB1 as well but why would I want an XB1 when my PS4 works just as well if not better and I can still play the PS4 games you just mentioned.
BTW. With the exception of Bloodborne (purchased when I got my PS4 and now a free PS+ game), those games are still on my to-do list. Oh, you did forget Ratchet and Clank (now a free PS+ game as well).
I can easily afford all consoles and I already have a FAT PS3, PS4 and a powerful desktop PC. The problem is not the platforms it is the games. I already have well over two hundred games (I have actually lost count) and it is impossible to play them all and the AAA games that I play are normally good for 40+ hours of gameplay assuming I don't want to replay the game.
Ratchet & Clank was just recently a free game if you had a PS+ subscription. I have not paid more than $20 AUD ($1 AUD = $0.74 USD) for most games with the exception of the first three games I purchased with the PS4.
Now I have to get back to Dark Souls III. Those Kamikasi undead are a real PITA since if they get you it is an instant kill and you only have a choice of instant kill them or just run and let them explode. Dying a lot and loving it. 🤪
According to "VGChartz" the PS3 lifetime sales is 86.9 million while the XBox36 sold 85.8 million.

Yes, I know that some people will say that VGChartz is wrong but it would be appreciated if they could point us at other statistical sites that allow us to view their PS3/XBox36 data and aren't locked behind a paywall.
