It really depends what exclusive you like. If you said Mario or Pokemon I would fully disagree with you since I have little or no interest in those games. For Metorid and Zelda I would agree but there are too few of them.
As for other exclusives such as Xenoblade Cronicles I would like to play it but I have too many other RPG's (currently playing "The Witcher 3" on Deathmarch and Bloodborne) to go to the trouble of buying a WiiU.
I sort of agree with what you said and paying for both PS+ and XBox Gold is a definite turn off especially if you are a person who is mainly interested in RPG's and not the on-line ones.
Most games I have for the PS3 are multi platform and the same applies for the PS4 and while there are a few games exclusive to the XB1 that have interested me (namely Scalebound) I have no interest in buying a console for just one game.
I also have a gaming rig although I...
Good luck getting the game second hand or from a friend unless you are only going to play it on the XB1.
Basically having a game on media for the XB1 and a "free" digital download for the PC is s stealth way of destroying the XB1 second hand game market for the XB1.
If you are only interested in digital downloads then this won't affect you but for the majority who like to purchase the media this effectively reduces the resale value if you wish t...
Quantum Break and the Uncharted Series actually Action/Adventure third person shooters so you can in all fairness compare them.
I do think that if you compare console ownership to the gamers buying the particular game then the PS4 with Uncharted 4 would most likely be the winner, however since Quantum Break will be available for the PC as well then I do think more people will buy it overall compared to Uncharted 4.
It's too early to make the call but it w...
For a funny but relevant review you can't go past the following: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
@Malacath
Minimum specifications of a PC to run Quantum Break: Windows 10 (64-bit), DirectX 12, Intel Core i5-4460, 2.70GHz or AMD FX-6300, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R7 260x, 2 GB VRAM, 8GB RAM.
Most PC's more than 2 years old could not run Quantum Break unless the gamer upgrades or originally had better then the above minimum specifications.
Selling the media for XB1 plus a digital download for the PC is effectively killing second hand market for that product.
Don't believe me then picture this. Say as a PC owner I purchase the above product and install the digital download on my PC and activate it with the product activation code. Now I sell the product and get some of my money back, however that now second hand product is only useful if the prospective buyer wants to install it on his XB1. This will also af...
I have played many R&C games and from what I have seen of the game footage of Sunset Overdrive the game-play is virtually identical with exception being the skins of the avatars.
I am not saying SO is bad, far from it, however since Insomniac Games makes both games it is not that surprising that the game-play mechanics from R&C would be present in SO.
I hope not but there are an awful lot of "Pay to Win" games out there.

It is even more fun at parties unfortunately not everyone wears a wrist strap: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
There are plenty of videos of people having their wrist strap break as well with the same disastrous result.
@DarkOcelet
No "Horror" and "Survival Horror" are actually sub "genres" or sub categories.
For instance you can have SciFi (eg Dead Space) that has as it's main genres Action/Adventure with a First Person Shooter sub genres and survival horror as an additional sub genres.
Of course I can't forget Resident Evil (at least the first three) and the Silent Hill series, however those games are Action and/or Ad...
Considering the Vita has a screen resolution of 960x544 pixels or "quarter HD" the transition to 1080p is impressive.
I have not played Gravity Rush yet although what may turn me off is it's supposed to be fairly short. I do have three huge RPG's to get through first so I will most likely keep an eye out for it in April/May.

Three electric cars?
That's not being environmentally friendly that is being an eco-terrorist.
I have the latest model PS4 (CUH-1202A) and I can't hear the fan (playing a game with my sound muted) unless I put my ear to the console. The top of the case does get warm but not uncomfortably so.
Actually Solid State Disks (SSD) are dropping in price although the Hard Disk Drives are still the cheaper in terms of cents per giga-byte. Give it another two years and the SSD will start to become the standard storage devise for laptops and consoles. In some laptops we are already starting to see this trend.
At the moment if you want performance when building a PC you make a 60GB to 120GB SSD the system disk. Using an SSD for your data disks is not very cost effective altho...
Somehow I don't think we will see a PS5 or get more details till 2018 with a possible launch in November 2019. Of course if Microsoft tries to steal an early march with their next XBox then Sony won't have much choice.
My PS4 model is CUH-1202A and even when playing a game it only consumes 80W of power.
The top of the case does get warm over time but not uncomfortably so and there is very little fan noise. In fact I can't hear the fan at all unless I put my ear to the console and I do have very good hearing.
For you maybe, but for myself who does move my PS4 allot a power brick would be a hindrance.
I can understand a power brick for devices such as laptops since they are normally very slim and putting a a power supply in them would make then thicker or more expensive.
Having a power brick for a laptop is still a hindrance especially if you are on the go although to get around this all laptops have batteries. I better not get started on batteries my reply would ...
Because the PlayStation has a much more varied selection of games than the other contenders it would be very difficult to actually have a mascot although the closest I would say is Nathan Drake (has to be first party exclusive content not multi-platform) but is this a good thing?
As an example Nintendo's mascot is Mario however if you don't really like or don't care about Mario games then that mascot is useless and in some respects off-putting.
In many ways I do agree with what you are saying.
I have a very comfortable ergonomic office chair for my desktop and while my sofa is even more comfortable it is very easy to not sit properly in it.
I can play my PS3 or PS4 via my monitor where it takes seconds to switch or move them to my living room where I have a 55" HDTV in less then a minute, however my wife has basically taken over the HDTV so I predominately stick to my monitor. Both my monitor a...
