@ Why o why: Goal post shift? Sounds like irony, to me. Did you read his words? How can that be when it is HIS post that's shifting points? What exactly did I change? What was said that was wrong?
If you have a valid argument, I'm happy to debate it.
The pre-order numbers (which can be wrong in and of themselves), prove very little. Yes, on paper, they look great, but it's Halo. Frankly, I see nothing particularly Earth-shattering about the current figures and comparing it to Bloodborne is just silly.
OT: Gonna be a quiet period once The Witcher and Batman come out.
You'd have to be 100% naive and in denial if all you've gotten out of many games that have looked/performed better on PS4 is JUST res (a big advantage in and of itself, in fact). It's not simply just a, "sharper image", to have upwards of 25-30% difference in resolution (in some cases, much bigger). It is a fact, the PS4 is a more powerful system, and with that fact, comes things like better lighting, anti-aliasing, v-sync. You name it.
Unless a dev trul...
@ _-EDMIX-_
I never suggested that Sony is funding a whole genre, "lol".
@ Volkama: The spin applied is entertaining, but there's no justification for how/why he brought up The Order, here. Its reception and commercial performance have absolutely nothing to do with Bloodborne's, regardless of the SCE logo on the box.
Seems there's a reasonable bunch here that get that.
Beyond the fact that From Software and Sony have, actually, had this relationship since the PS1 era, Bloodborne has just proven that these types of games don't need to be on as many platforms as possible to sell well.
In fact, I'm always for exclusives, as every game doesn't have to be (and shouldn't be) on every platform, otherwise, what's the point of multiple platforms?
Article has nothing to do with The Order and there's no correlation that will make sense. Let's not drag it there.
OT: Not surprised at all! I argued that this game would sell big and it's just icing that it's done 1 million in less than 3 weeks!
If it wasn't noticeable, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
OT: Been with this game since the beginning (from the early Alpha days on PC). I look forward to the full release and will probably pick up the PS4 version as well.
Sony is helping tri-Ace with the development. It will only be on PlayStation.
OT: NIIIICE! Enjoyed the PS2 games, so I'll finally be going back after all these years!
Looks like you'll be getting it sooner than you thought.
You aren't getting disagrees for your opinion, rather, your defense of a known poster that trashes anything Sony related. Hard to take you serious, in fact.
I don't really see the relevance to your comment, other than to show a needless defense towards something he said that was factual.
OT: Though I haven't really played FH2 extensively, DRIVECLUB has always been fantastic to me! Love how challenging it was! It being the best looking racing game of all time was just icing! The weather.....lawd!
Making it a critical success.
OT: Quite the performance, here!
A "10" doesn't mean perfection to every reviewer. Sometimes, it means job so well done, the writer felt that it was deserving of full praise.
It's my current Game of the Year, as well! No shame in it at all!
Eh, doesn't really "suck" that it's not on a competing machine. Every game can't be on every system.
OT: I'll probably be checking this out for PC.
I really couldn't have put it any better.
About the rating I would have given it (if numbers mattered that much).
Glad there are others who enjoyed this game! You can tell a lot of heart went into it and they set the stage to really flex this franchise's muscles, along with fleshing out the, already, fantastic engine (best looking game I've seen, to date - and that comes from someone who had a hard time admitting that anything currently topped my previous King - Metro: Last Light maxed out on PC).

@ Bolts: "I stopped reading after"... Generally, responses like that tell me that you aren't able to see the bigger picture. The critics themselves even back that up, at the very least.
According to them, The Order's "problems" were not the story, but length, and for some odd reason, the game-play. Beyond that, your Michael Bay reference makes no sense at all. NOTHING about the production felt like a Michael Bay project.
It may have to do with, and this is just a rumor, the fact that Sony has the marketing rights for it. In that case, it makes sense.
