@ _EDMIX_
There's nothing else that needs elaborating. Until the team actually discusses an X1 version, which they have not, then it isn't coming to the system. No hidden messages, here.
As stated above, the Xbox has never been mentioned. It IS timed exclusive, releasing on PS4 first and then PC later. The team has already said this. Has nothing to do with, "headlines".
It shouldn't matter that much, anyway. If you really want to play it, build/buy a PC or buy a PS4.
@ Silly gameAr: Agreed.
As of now, no. It's PS4 first, then PC just after. The team discussed this when it was first unveiled, stating that they didn't have the resources to do that many platforms and that Sony shares their vision.
To me, that translates to the PS4 rockin' house and the PC being of no consequence to that. I expect many more of these partnerships, as the PS4 continues to dominate.
Which couldn't be further from the truth.
OT: Modest requirements. I'd like to see what they recommend!
Well, how would we know? We have yet to play it.
These types of topics shouldn't exist until the game is, at least, out. Right now, it's just been unveiled, let alone played/tried/beaten.
Well, since I've played neither, I can't rightfully judge, nor claim, GOTY. Right now, my GOTY is The Order, but it's being tested by the awesomeness that is Life Is Strange and Bloodborne.
My most anticipated game is Until Dawn, and I suspect, has more potential to be my GOTY, but I'm really looking forward to The Witcher III.
I haven't really seen any unfair comparisons, or that same thought process must apply to the PS3 and 360 last gen (the media had a field day beatin' the former down).
What I see is a company that has put themselves into a rut, that also has to compete with a stronger gaming brand (and are losing in a massive way).
It won't do very much for Xbox One. On PC, the situation will be quite different. Just the fact that the CPU and GPU will have much more, taling", going on will offer significant improvements to PC game worlds. That's why I'm on the bandwagon!
If it takes you six hours to be disappointed, the game has probably done plenty right. Most "buyers" don't spend 6 hours on a game that aren't enjoyable, to some extent.
OT: The latest trailer sold me on it! All I need now is to see NVIDIA's Hairworks in action.
Agreed! Beyond that, some of us PC owners would love another shot at Wake!
I'd wager that Xbox's presence overseas, outside of the UK, is hardly remarkable. However, that doesn't mean it should not get any overseas love, just not to the extent of either Nintendo or Sony.
@ TheHaloGuy: A. The video wasn't pre-rendered, whether PC footage or not (a usual error from people outside of the loop). B. There's nothing "COMMON" about it, unless you can provide solid evidence to such. Otherwise, I'll take the dev's word over a forum poster's.
Always entertainment when some walk in with their own "fact(s)" and then don't provide anything to support it.
When you based your argument on "potentials" and "hopefuls", it's probably not a very strong one. Nothing about the Destiny situation was luck. One could argue that Microsoft, "got lucky", to have even been able to compete last year, as dropping the price is what, "saved them".
But then, not everyone has such a tunnel view on things.
@ PlayableGamez: Well, unless Sony was promoting PC footage in a trailer that had PlayStation plastered all over it, what would you call it?
Considering that was, likely, PS4 footage, I wouldn't be so sure.
However, what it implies - if that was PS4 footage, I can only imagine what the PC version looks like!
Sony and Nintendo teaming up didn't happen, so it couldn't have been great for Sony. However, just because Sony would do this movie doesn't necessarily mean it would translate into a partnership (though if it happened, I'd be ecstatic, as these are my two favorite companies in existence).
This could potentially be BIGGER than Destiny, especially if there's a themed Star Wars PS4!
Beyond that, a week is not really long enough to keep PS4 players from buying that version. If there's a Star Wars themed PS4 bundle (or different color for the system), either is likely, this conversation will further prove its irrelevance.
I get so bugged by the phrases, "badly optimized", and, "poorly optimized". It can only be UN-optimized. If it is optimized, it is well built.
OT: With that little rant over, I have yet to play this. Perhaps when things ARE optimized, I'll give it a go!
