I am not sure comparing it to other similar services is a reason not to have a family plan.
Everything can improve, so maybe this is a good way to improve it. Supporting companies to hold back possibly beneficial features to consumers is more like cheerleading for the company then it is cheerleading consumer friendly practices.
So, what you are saying is marketing which sensationalizes and stretches the truth about a product needs to improve for Godfall? Are you trying to sell the game?
Ummmmmm. OK. I don't know if this will be a great game or not. But, to say marketing needs to pick it up is the last thing a game needs. Maybe there needs to be even more gameplay shown for gamers to make informed decisions.
I find it funny that gamers are looking at conspiracy theories and agendas for anyone making a comment about the next generation of consoles.
Maybe all these engine designers and developers making comments actually are just trying to promote the next generation products and telling gamers what they see. Both consoles have a lot of advantages over the current generation. It seems to me like gamers are looking at all this way too closely.
The comments to ...
No need to get into fanboyism on the article.
The amount of RAM in both consoles is the same and it is faster and 4 GB 25% more than the previous gen.
RAM is always one of the most important things for games but it is a high cost piece of the console. That's why they don't put a ton of RAM as compared to high end PCs in. You have to remember they are targeting a $399-599 price tag. Not a $1,000 PC price tag so just building a console exactly li...
Really... At the end of the day there is a really simple solution.
Microsoft is not requiring developers to support Xbox One, So, the developer can just release their game as only XSX.
Problem Solved. If it is really a problem.
Yup, and then Don Mattrick came along. He took a really good organization and screwed it up.
BTW... Peter M. is a loser. I said this long before he ever left MS. There is a difference between dreamers and visionaries. Visionaries make things real. Dreamers convey their visions but never achieve them. Peter always over promised and under delivered.
@badz149
Yes, I stand corrected on God of War....
For some reason I seem to remember playing it long before Halo.
I don't know why people keep calling these franchises stale.
1) Halo is way younger than God of War. Yes, Halo needs a bit of a reboot.... People still play a lot of Halo. IT is like XB meat and potatoes. People expect the game.
2) Gears of War is about the same age as Uncharted. I think Uncharted is more stale, then Gears. Gears is a unique 3rd person shooter
3) Forza Motorsports is way younger then GT and consistently gets much better ratings y...
I think in some cases the game engine would be inadequate to make 60 fps. I agree the option should be there. But the option should only be there if the game can run it smoothly.
Also, this generation is going to be a transition generation. The reason I say that is because of PCs that don't use super fast SSD and I/O for the SSD. Multi-platform games that include PC will be held back because of older and still shipping PCs with traditional drives. It is only games ...
When you play a 30 fps game and 60 fps game there is a ton of difference. You may not necessarily see it, but you can definitely feel it. Especially in certain genres like fighting and hack 'n' slash action-adventure games.
@Marquinho
I don't mind having to pay for services or content. aka Netflix vs. Crave vs Disney+ or whatever. I can get any of those by downloading the free app onto my set top box or console.
And that really is my point. One piece of hardware can access all those things. In the console world I have to buy multiple consoles (Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony) to be able to access all content. What I would rather see is a yearly console release to a specificatio...
@Marquinho
I do not believe the status quo should be acceptable to gamers.
What you are saying is, "Too bad for gamers that can't afford both consoles". And if you can afford both consoles, "It is OK that console vendors are forcing you to pay $499 extra dollars just to play certain games".
To fanboys that may be good news. But, for gamers, why should I have to buy a bunch of consoles just so I can play a specific game I...
I doubt MS would buy the studios unless they also had a licensing agreement for at least 10 years for all the IPs as well.
Telltale would probably stay as a multi-platform studio like Mojang. Simply because the economics and demographics of Lego games lends itself to multi-platform.
The others would be up for debate.
No matter what this is becoming a disturbing trend. First spider-man, and now possibly batman becoming exclusives.
That is not supported by fact.
You do realize that SSDs have existed for years. In fact one of my Xbox Ones has an SSD in it (Microsoft put out a pro XBO with the Pro controller that had SSD). PC and older SSD systems, have I/O throughput problems. Those are a generation behind.
Also if you compare even the PS5 SSD performance to memory performance it is way behind. So, the statement that the SSDs are extra memory is somewhat false. They can be used ...
That really isn't a problem, because you can probably plug in a USB drive and have the old experience from it.
There is nothing that MS can do in the July event that will give MS a competitive edge. Sony has the competitive edge and will for the foreseeable future.
At the end of the day gamers have to ask themselves whether the launch lineup of games is worth shelling out the probable $499 for console, $100-200 in accessories, and possibly $70 games.
After the PS5 event I didn't feel the need to go out and pre-order a PS5 because for launch it looks like the highlight game is essentially a next story spider-man game. Given that it is only two years since the previous game this game probably won't offer much new. Yes, spider-...
It is sad what has been created by the laws and leaders that govern the world.
It has been proven long ago that verbal abuse is just as bad if not worse than physical abuse. You physically abuse someone and you can end up in prison. You verbally abuse or verbally threaten to abuse people outside of your children and absolutely nothing happens.
At least the combat in Ninja Blade had challenge to it. Asura's Wrath combat was garbage.

Marketing has the sole purpose to promote a product in the best way possible to get more sales. Anyone who thinks marketing is anything else is clearly delusional and knows nothing about business.
I respect people that do marketing, but the reality is that there is two purposes for the profession. Sell and build brands to sell more. No marketing is looking out for a gamer. Marketing is trying to take the gamer's money.
