So, let me get this straight...
If this would've been a Sony exclusive thing and MS said what Sony did, then it would've been a conversation about how MS supresses consumer choice.
But, since Sony "says" they reviewed it and didn't see the value... Its a good move...
OK. I am a n00b on this site but it is pretty clear it is a Sony Defense Force site...
OK...
Gamers always complain about sequels to existing games.... Another sequel for Gears, Halo, God of War, Killzone, etc...
Then, gamers say they want new IPs rather than sequels...
Now, gamers are really not making sense... They don't want sequels or new IPs, they want re-masters....
wtf?
After playing the beta I was not concerned about content. But, I was concerned about repetitiveness. Which in turned bored me.
Crimson Dragon isn't a bad game at all. It takes a few missions to understand the game but you get to level up your dragons, add abilities, and the missions are not long at all.
Give it a try for an hour and you will be surprised.
This will probably be a blow to the PSN+ and GwG services as well.
I would assume that EA will probably stop offering their titles through these services. And if others follow the cue, then GwG and PSN+ will become a channel for first party games and Indie games only.
Sony and EA have a real love/hate relationship.
I think EA is just ticked that Sony did not implement DRM in their console like X1 was going to do.
So, now they are striking back. And Sony is ticked that EA isn't showing up to support the best selling console so far this generation.
Personally, I have bought less games in the past year than at any other time over the past decade. Why? 1) There has been too many re-makes 2) Because I am ...
Bungie has always had great sound in there games!
I will definitely get this game, I am just not pegging it as a 90% Metacritic game. More like low to mid-80's...
Nothing wrong with that (Lot's of good games in that range), just not as excited as I was when I first heard Bungie was charting their own path and going multi-platform.
I thought they were going to take gaming to the next level. What I have played of Destiny is not showin...
I've played the beta on both PS4 and X1...
And I am still not excited...
Solid gameplay mechanics but generally generic feel.
A very fun game! Highly recommended for PS4 users. (Already have it and enjoyed it on both 360 and X1).
None of these games are next gen because they have the exact same gameplay on the previous generation consoles... I wish people would stop calling stuff next gen when you see the exact same gameplay on last gen consoles.
Sure they may have better graphics on the current gen consoles... But, for a game to be next gen it should have to have gameplay that is not available on previous gen consoles...
With that said I only have 3:
1) Knack
Good content is good content...
People will probably be saying the same thing about Halo MCC in November... 40+ hours of campaigns, over 100 MP maps... How will that not be the best single content purchase on X1?
It is disappointing to me, that console manufacturers and publishers are recycling to start the generation. Why should we have spent $400 on a new console when we can get the same experience (mostly) on the $200 consoles?
That will save me about $75 since I have all 360 tables!
I think the EA Access idea is actually pretty good...
But, I am not sure it will drive people to buy X1 consoles. To me, that's an exaggeration.
If MS strikes this deal with 2K, Ubisoft, and Activision that would be a different story.
It will put a dent in Gamestop probably though... Question is how big? Probably not that big.
Really your comment was just fanboy flamebait. So I will oblige...
Titanfall on inferior hardware is better than the people who pre-ordered a PS4 last year to play DriveClub... Imagine how embarrassing that is... Buying a console for a racing game and then seeing it delayed a year.
Or the people who ran out and bought the PS3 for The Last Guardian... Now, they will be told to buy a PS4 to play the game.
And TLOU... Yes, it is a great game.....
Agreed. 20 hours of awesome single player goodness.
Agreed. Graphical fidelity is more about resolution. Frame rate is about smoothness of gameplay.
Although you typically won't see a difference between 30 fps and 60 fps you will feel a difference.
Really 30 fps vs 60 fps cannot be shown via internet video. You actually have to experience the difference.
It really doesn't matter anyhow. As long as the game is locked in at or above 30 fps, it is just fine! It is when you fall below ...
I disagree that people should say that features are reactionary no matter what consoles they are for...
Each update's new features are planned months in advance. It's not like the developers just wake up one day and say "Let's put in 3D Blu-ray" or "Pre-order/load digital".
These features take weeks and months to build and test fully. I wish everyone would be less reactive to every announcement sony or microsoft make and just...
They are two very different types of racers optimized for two very different experiences.
Comparing GT to Forza is fair...
I think outside of graphics comparing Forza Horizon and DriveClub is fair as well. The issue comes comparing open world to closed environment games. You cannot compare GTA to a game like Wolfenstein New Order graphically. Closed environment graphics should always be better.
Does it allow cross game chat?
Also, it is my understanding that stamps are not mandatory which as Sony found out was a fail.
What about built in match making, leaderboards, Twitch support, third party web sites like trueachievements, etc.
Agreed. The question is "Why wouldn't they give consumers the choice to decide if it is valuable to them or not?".
These things are all about purchasing habits. If you are buying a lot of EA games and you are a near day one buyer this service obviously adds value with 10% off on every purchase.
Also, if you don't buy new games at all and just rely on the vault the service would be valuable.
The only way this service does n...
