Whether a game is part of a console launch or not should be irrelevant to deciding if it is ready to launch.
I am not a big Epic or Apple fan, but to me a app store is about a platform showcasing the content it has for sale to increase the platform adoption and to encourage people to buy the platform.
Somehow between the advent of stores and now, they have become a tax collection agency for platforms adding absolutely zero value.
While there is complete truth in everything you said there, people need to be accountable for their actions with co-workers. Personally, as someone in a leadership position I just don't even get into the relationship business at work at all. I socialize with my teams and spend time with many as friends, but when it comes to any sort of sexual or intimate relationship that is a red line that I don't even want to be near.

How is XB in a bad state? The only people complaining about XB are PS only fanboys it seems to me.
They delayed Halo, they did not cancel it. This year they have delivered Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Bleeding Edge, Minecraft Dungeons, and Gears Tactics for PC. They are still going to deliver Battletoads, Wasteland 3, and Gears Tactics for console and Flight Simulator for PC.
How is Microsoft's position any worse then Sony...
People are really trying to sell that the XB is in a very bad state. But, I think MS made a really bold (and the right) decision no matter how it came to be.
The reality is that the most anticipated game (CyberPunk) will not even ship with a nextgen version for the new console launch on Day One.

I don't see streaming as a primary way to game. I see it as supporting console or PC gamers become more mobile once 5G is everywhere.
Maybe at some future state when technology does not improve as fast as it does today we could get away from loacl installs, but not anytime soon.

He states in the interview that is a full story arc. Sony has stated the campaign s 16 hours. To me that is a full single player game. There are many full priced games that are much shorter.

Mostly agree with what you are saying, but getting me to pay $500 on a device with a roadmap is not good enough for me.

As far as I'm concerned putting all the eggs in one basket for anything is not a good thing. We are probably gone from the days where a console launches with that one must-have game.

Nice to see some games that are just plain about fun.
I can't say whether it will be GOTY because I have not played it yet, but it is my most anticipated game for Holiday 2020. TLOU2 is my current favorite for GOTY.
Pretty sad really. New consoles are coming out and you would expect a total hype up of those games... And the game I really want to play the most is shipping for the current generation only. Just shows how lifeless the nextgen lineup is for both consoles.
And so what will that mean? PS has been outselling XB for the past decade pretty much.
I'm not buying either console. Both launch lineups do not justify the cost of the new consoles.
