Yes, framerate over graphics every time for me. Slow framerates can give me migraines. I remember play TLOU on PS3 and only being able to do a level each session because the framerates weren't quite there. Thankfully PS4 fixed that problem.
Not every game will be 9's or 10's.

Not sure how this becomes exciting for the generation ahead. They said in the video that all of this will be available through XB One as well.

It is inevitable that games get delayed. I would rather see delays then ship garbage and expect me as a consumer to buy the garbage.
XSX will get Flight Simulator later. Their focus was to deliver Flight Simulator on PC and then follow up with an XSX release. Microsoft doesn't always deliver the same games on PC and XB Day One on both platforms.

I think the guy did a really good job of re-creating the scenes. But, graphically there is no comparison between the Forge version and the actual gameplay.
That is actually a good comparison. It shows how much more advanced the graphics fidelity is in Halo Infinite vs Forge.
The Forge version looks nice but the graphics look more like Ever Wild. The Halo Infinite version looked realistic in comparison.
This really depends on criteria for GOTY.
If the criteria is innovative of a genre and game tech this could be a contender for sure. It is going to be interesting to see if it is even considered.

The same can really be said for any game.
It is more about the whether the audience is mainstream or niche specific.
Someone who likes flying planes will play this for 100's of hours. Other people not so much. But the same can be said of action-adventures, FPS, RPGs, battle royales, fighting games, etc. They just are more mainstream so the audience that wants to play them for hours is much bigger.
