The special thing about AMD is they have licensing to the x86 Intel chip architecture. So, they can produce x86 compatible processors. NVidia does not have such a licensing deal so they'd have to make a completely new chip (we saw how good that worked out with Sony's Cell Processor), or they would have to suck the bullet and get the licensing.

This is a gaming site, not a PS4 sales site.

The bargain bin at least gives money to devs and pubs if it is bought as a new game. The state of the industry is a combination of issues, but one thing will remain constant: Devs and pubs will only invest money according to the return they expect on the money they invest. Any gamer that thinks devs and pubs should take less money is detached from the reality of financial truth. There are more than games to make money in, and investors will goto where they think they...

People like to target EA because they are trying different business models to make money. Some of them are working and others are not.

The reality though, is last generation EA had a bunch of good new games on console. Dante's Inferno, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Army of Two, Godfather, Shadows of the Damned, FUSE, LotR Conquest, Mercenaries 2, Bulletstorm, Skate, Dragon's Age, and Titanfall.

People wonder why EA focuses on "profitable"...

8-12 hrs is longer than most FPS. Outside of Wolfenstein New Order name another NEW/SEQUEL FPS on X1 with a longer campaign?

Gaming journalists are a bunch of people who could not get a job doing real journalism.

The previews/reviews of gaming journalists are constantly biased based on fanboy opinion.

When they do decide to write articles they usually lack real content and quality.

And then stuff like this happens as well... If someone says they are a gaming journalist I instantly loose all respect I may of had for them when I first saw them.

I su...

I decided to pass on this game a while back because there is no true SP campaign. Glad I did. Saves me a bunch of money to play other games, and in a year it will come onto EA Access. So, I will wait for a 50% season pass sale and get the game out of the EA Access vault!

I think there is a market for these games, but I am tired of seeing a bunch of these games every year. And frankly, I am not even sure I would call them games. They are more like interactive, digital story books.

Looks like Sony is going all in on VR. Hope they announce first party titles that are not centered around VR.

Translation:

It is best not to buy or adopt VR for the next 5 years until the current VR headsets are stable and not changing so much!

First, the social aspects I speak of have nothing to do with MP. They are social aspects that many people who live in a family at home experience while gaming whether it be SP or MP. In fact, I did not mention MP in my post so why did you even bring it up?

I have Oculus Rift. When, gaming with it, I found it very annoying to be interrupted by things like phone calls , people coming in asking questions, etc. It is absolutely cool how immersive it is. Bu...

There are several issues with VR. I am not saying it is a bad tech and useless, but there is currently no solutions for the issues. Namely:

1) Price. Forking out $350 plus dollars for a console and then another $200-300 (rumored pricing) for VR is too much for most families. People complained about $100 extra to have Kinect/Move. Imagine what types of complaints you will get for $200-300 on VR just to play maybe one or two amazing games.

2) Social Aspect...

If someone would've picked it up, it would be stated by now. PT was a working game over a year and a half ago. If someone picked it up and continued it would be announced because it would be near shipping.

Also, Guillermo said cancellation made no sense and he was heavily involved in the project so you would think he wouldn't be lying about being disappointed its cancelled.

1) If someone has offered, it obviously has not been enough.

2) It is a statement about the AAA games industry when a publisher like Konami says they would rather spend their development resources on "crappy gambling machines" than build AAA games. Your point reinforces my comment rather than diluting it.

If it makes no sense then why has no one offered to pick it up yet?

Facts are they probably did the market analysis... Found that it would take $30-50 million to develop it, then thought they would get maybe a million or two in retail sales, and decided they could invest their money elsewhere and get a better financial return.

That is the facts with video games now-a-days. Unless a AAA game can sell 5-7 million copies it doesn't provide the publisher wit...

I know I will get a ton of disagrees, but for me this is one less Indie game to weed through and decide if it is worth buying or not.

It seems like indie games are 80% clones of something out there already and 5% great games that deserve an indie label, and 15% that should've never been made to begin with.

I don't expect games to be completely bug free, but games have shipped broken in many ways this generation...

Lords of the Fallen had a bug where my game save could not progress, Halo MCC was broken online, DriveClub was broken online, Tony Hawk is just a mess, BF4 online was a mess, AC Unity was an incomplete mess, etc. etc.

These games are shipping knowing that their state is incomplete. I am a developer myself, and if I would shipped the crap we have ...

Or maybe instead of your conspiracy theory, these consoles can't make 1080p and 60 FPS with the game's level of detail, interactivity, AI, and other gameplay stuff.

Hopefully we are now seeing a real next gen shooter.

I would love to see original xbox games playable on my X1 and xbox 360 games playable on my PC. I have a lot invested in XB games. The more platforms I can play them on the happier I am.

There are not many old 360 games above $20 never mind $60...

I'm not sure where that comment is coming from.
