I think a lot of pubs are waiting for MS to solve the multi-disc issue. Once that is solved, I expect BC game quality to rise significantly.
Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Dead Space 2-3, Mass Effect 2-3, Rage, etc.
PC has had BC forever, but that comes with a lot of effort to configure, modify registry settings, and generally "junk up" your PC.
I love my gaming PC, but on X1, I install games and need to do nothing. On my PC a lot of times I install a game I have to take out my toolbox and do the delicate operation to make it work properly.
Both are perfectly fine, but there are technically skirmish people out there that simply aren't interested in spend...
Great. Pre-rating games that aren't even complete yet.
I don't know if Uncharted 4 will be better than Rise of the Tomb Raider, but I can tell from my experience in Rise of the Tomb Raider it has set the highest bar for any action-adventure so far this generation.
If you liked the reboot this game is even better! It has puzzle solving, platforming, collect-athons, upgrade elements, stealth, and action altogether. One of the best games so far this...
Those were the good ol' days for sure...
But, unfortunately gamers thought that it was better to buy games used, rent them, or pirate them so the publishers took actions to ensure they get money even in those scenarios.
Now we are left with an industry that is completely broken and you pay $60 for a game, then $50 for DLC. I have bought a lot of games, but I now wait until the game is cheap with a complete edition because I end up paying $50-60 for the f...
I don't condone either ad.
Frankly, they both are just veiled shots at the competition for no reason.
I wish there was a preference setting on this web site that you could turn off certain web sites...
craveonline, gamingbolt, and polygon would be on my list of excluded sites because they are just a bunch of idiotic fanboys dressed up as gaming journalists.
We are in our 3rd season for these consoles. These types of articles are a useless waste of the web.
I would've preferred a lower resolution with 60 FPS than 1080p and 30 FPS.
Action-Adventures should all be framerate first, resolution second.
I would like to see the same implementation as X360 has for buying games.
If you have over 100 games then instead of displaying all the games, then they should display the letters of the alphabet as tiles and you click one to go and see the games for that letter.
When you have a lot of games, displaying them all takes too long, wastes performance, and networking.
I think PS Now should go across platforms. No issue at all with that.
But, the pricing sux so I wouldn't do it. I still have a PS ID with games and the thought of paying for stuff I already own is ridiculous.
Sony's remasters (scheduled and released):
Journey, Beyond Two Souls, Dead Nation, fl0w, flower, god of war iii, uncharted collection, gravity rush, heavy rain, last of us, pixel junk shooter, and unfinished swan.
Microsoft's Re-masters (scheduled and released):
Rare Replay, Gears Ultimate, Halo MCC, State of Decay.
Honestly, who is milking gamers with remasters? It is obvious that this is a Sony business plan.
Yep.
Halo rated 85 on Metacritic making it one of the highest rated FPS so far this gen.
Rise of Tomb Raider timed exclusive on X1 is rated 87 on Metacritic
Forza Motorsports 6 rated 87 and is highest rated racing sim this generation on Metacritic
MS brought a very good lineup of games to gamers for this holiday!
Next up Fable Legends!
No it doesn't.
Sony is making money by "re-mastering" games and selling them again to PS4 owners.
And PS4 owners seem to think that is good, so why would Sony care?
The upcoming XB1 lineup is about diversity. Microsoft has just as many exclusives coming from their first party as any other console.
You may not like the genres of the games, but they are there.
I own all 104 games digitally.
They are all downloading and working for me except for Lode Runner, which isn't appearing on my "Ready to Install" list.
1 out of 104 is not at all bad!
Cloud processing will always be more powerful than static hardware and companies will find it's place.
Just like the Internet took years to figure out what it was good at, Windows took years to become what it is, Kinect has found its niche uses, VR will find its niche uses, etc. etc.
Cloud processing won't be required for everything probably, but it will be best suited for certain tasks, and I expect it will become popular for those tasks. The explos...
The decision to console or not to console is completely a personal preference. It has nothing to do with this.
I have the PC hardware required. But, I prefer having a console.
People talk about the UI a lot but no one should underestimate that this is now a Windows 10 device.
Games that are built for PC game be easily ported to X1 now with little to no modifications. This means that the only reasons a company does not ship their games on X1 is:
a) They have a marketing deal excluding X1
b) They refused to put XBL into their game
c) They simply don't want to tap into the X1 market of fans
Cloud processing is the future, but just like any technology stuff it starts, stumbles, falls, and then finally figures out what role it will play long term.
I was one of the first on the preview. When it first got installed I though MS had no chance of getting this out for November.
But, after many updates, kudos to MS for stabilizing this update really nicely!
It is a really good change for XB.
and Last Remnant!
