Game mode is important so that the developers can use as much power available from the system as possible.
With Windows 10 powering Xbox, Microsoft was making developers give up power for build once, deploy on many devices. Game mode is a nice feature in the OS so that developers don't need to sacrifice power for build once as much.

Tomb Raider was and still is an innovative action-adventure game. It was the leader until Sony spent a ton of money to build Uncharted then Last of Us. Tomb Raider answered back with a reboot and now Rise of the Tomb Raider. Tomb Raider, Uncharted, and the Last of Us are leaders in the action-adventure genre.

There is nothing wrong with the pricing of video games.
What is wrong is that people support the used game market rather then supporting the developers and publishers directly with new purchases. I buy video games at the lowest price that supports the developers and publishers who make the games. Not the lowest price I can find.

I think this should me the 6 most over-hyped games by gamers.
I don't think any were really disappointing, but gamers hyped most of these games through the roof and it was impossible for them to meet expectations created.
I have played all six and they equaled or exceeded my expectations. But while gamers were over hyping these games, I sat back and enjoyed them based on what I saw and expected.
Ummm how many new IPs have come from the big 3 (Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony) and become a big hit so far?

It is not like there is a runaway difference in volumes of new IPs that are hits from the big three.
I find it interesting that there are many games on this list have no specific ship date yet.
I wish people would realize that 3/4 of those games won't even ship in 2017.

You get 6 worlds with four levels each. Which ends up being $2.33 per world. Or .58 cents a level.
I guess people think it would be better to be gouged to buy coins or having to spend 100's of hours to unlock each world/level for free.

For three months Xbox was ahead of PS4 in both key markets of the USA and UK. That was the first time since these consoles launched that was true. So to say MS did nothing to stop Sony get more market share is factually incorrect. For three months in two very key sale...
To me, Season Passes have killed any reason to buy a game on day one.
I can wait 4-6 months and buy the "deluxe" or "ultimate" edition for half the price of day one which includes the season pass. So what if I don't play the latest game on day one. I have a massive backlog anyhow.
TLG is not meant to be a game that appeals to the masses. It is a diversity game. Appealing to a crowd that real loved games like Shadow of the Colossus.
I don't see why people take every game and try and think it is a 10/10 and will sell 10,000,000 copies. I don't think anyone at Sony had that in mind during development.
A lot irrelevant and useless information. Unless you can find some way to align revisions of the platform and things like Kinect and scorpio this is just a chart of comparing apples to oranges.
The problem is these types of games do not have anything to make gamers buy them.
Yes there is a quality game, but unless it has an online element, few gamers buy it at launch and the rest wait for either the used game market or the pirated versions on PC because you can get the exact same experience.

I disagree completely.
Gamers harp all the time on how they want to see developers take risks and do new things.
But, when they do gamers then mock the features developers try to put in games. Just because something isn't a triple AAA feature in one game does not make it not worth trying something evolved in the next game.
I'm not sure anyone will really miss it. I'm sure plans have been scrapped for No Man's Sky to Come to XB1 as well. lol.
I do want a as many games as possible on my X1 so from that sense it is a bummer.
But it hasn't exactly lit the world on fire in reviews and on other platforms so it is a bit of, "If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to here it, did it really make a sound?" kind of thing.

The gaming industry is evolving and changing.
First, we are not seeing obvious, major leaps forward from game to game.
Second, there is next to zero reason to buy a game day one, because DLC will release and then there will be a complete edition in 6 months with all the DLC and less of a price.
GTA V and Skyrim are 3 and 5 year old games. WD2 better have a better open world.
Each platform has its own pluses and minuses and gamers should be free to choose which platform best suites them based on the merits of the platform rather then having to choose platforms based on what games you want to play.
