It would be nice if they shipped FF VII Remake... Rather than focusing on cheap to do ports that add no value.
You know the one that was announced back in December 2014? and was supposed to ship in 2015.
Halo is plenty good still.
There have been a few attempts to create fear, uncertainty, and doubt with Halo gamers in the past.
Killzone was going to be a Halo Killer... Where is it today?
Call of Duty outdid Halo... But Halo still lives and is fine
Bungie left Halo... But, Halo still keeps releasing and is still selling good
Destiny is better than Halo... But Halo still sold well after Destiny too.

I find it interesting how gamers like to say that companies are not creating new IPs and then go and wish for sequels and re-releases.
Unless a re-release is less than $10 I refuse to buy it. Unless a sequel is less than $25 I don't buy it. I will only pay full price for new IPs because that is what I want.
The title should've been 3 popular games...
Undertow, Super Contra, and Saints Row were all popular with 360 owners.
@shinoff2183
To me the ultimate console would be made by all three vendors together, XBL would be the network, and Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft would put out great games for the console. But, we are a ways from that still.
Agreed. There is a issue in Japan with Microsoft.
Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon were great games and had some effect on Japan, but they needed to do more. But, the question has to be asked as to how well an American console vendor can truly do in Japan ever. Japan seems to be anti-import when it comes to consoles no matter how good they do elsewhere.
Microsoft may be better off to team up with Nintendo. Maybe quit selling Xbox in Japan and put exclusiv...
I am not at all comparing Switch sales to PS VR sales.
And I get that PSVR is expensive, but at the same time if it was a trend of gamers it would be selling a lot more. People just can't find a way to justify the cost vs the price and usefulness.
I don't at all disagree that VR is very awesome. I have had VR since the first public prototypes of Oculus Rift. But, as a gamer that lives in a family of four where I am the dad, it is not very practical because my kids and wife often require me to participate as a family member while gaming so am used to always getting interrupted and putting the controller down and doing a few things then coming back. Total immersion is not an option for me even though I really like it. Constantly ...
VR is a good technology idea but it currently is not doing well on console.
PS VR just passed 1 million in sales in June. Meaning in well over a half year, it managed to attract only one in every sixty PS4 owners. That is only 1.7% of PS4 owners bought PS VR as of June.
I think VR has a place in the future but right now it is a niche tech just like flight stick/fighting game controllers and 3D TVs. The market for them is not dead, but only a certain ni...
So what does that have to do with this article?
It didn't say console vs. PC... IT is XB1 vs PC.
I really hate these comparisons.
First, PS4 Pro is really just a slight change to the PS4 to better support 4K. Whereas, the Xbox One X is more like Xbox One - What it Should've Been.
Second, they are released a year apart with different market conditions.
Third, comparing PS4 with Xbox One X is a fanboy exercise.
I still have my Coleco Telstar Colortron. My first console!
Cost of gaming is important to many people. Not everyone has disposable money to throw at their consoles.
And with xb rewards every little bit helps
Yes it is nice to see a publisher continue to fully support its game. No matter how big the audience is.
Seriously?
This is not about PS4 and XBox owners.
This is about gamers having choice. To buy the device they prefer vs buying a device because that is the only way they can play with certain friends online.
This is the second last hurdle to gamers being able to choose any device they want to play the games they want to play with the friends they want to play with.
The other last hurdle is exclusivity. Pushing gamers...
@Razzer
So what is the definition of a AAA SP game?
Are Indie developers not allowed to create AAA games?
Witcher was made by a indie studio CD Projekt RED. Qunatum Break was by Remedy who is an Indie Studio. I guess they aren't AAA?
AAA to me is about quality. And Ori is all quality. And it looks like Microsoft's funding of Cuphead is all about quality as well. Mojang's Minecraft was an independent studio and ...
No, this is where gamers have to come together and not defend any company that is against cross network play. I was against MS when they wouldn't let Sony do it last generation, and I am against Sony in their reversal this generation.
This is not about Sony, Microsoft, Switch, PC, Steam, etc.
This is about gamers being able to have choice. Being able to choose the device they prefer to play the games they like. Rather than being pushed to buy a spe...
Last I heard MS had 52 million active users on live.
I am not sure that is a very desperate position to be in.

I have said it before and will say it again.
Once you get to 900p comparison of graphics are pretty moot. I have a bunch of TVs that I game on ranging in size from 55" to 70", 2K and 4K, and sitting in the rooms 10 ft to 15 ft away. You do get a different feel on the different resolutions, but generally, they are all more than adequate. And when you are in the middle of a game you are thinking more about succeeding and playing the game than "that jagged ...
I had 4 XBox 360's with RRoD and did not have to buy a single new one. MS replaced them and I didn't have any problems afterwards.
I don't think there were as many RRoD sales as people think.
