lol, so weird. I actually thought the first and third were classics. The second was a huge step down for me: incredibly boring game that didn't get good until the last three hours or so. Story was rife with clichés too. Favored the other two because their greater focus on philosophy. Even so, the second did have one of the most exciting endings (the last couple levels were pure genius).
God of War - 10/10
God of War II - 8/10
God of War III - 10/10
When did it win GotY? o_O
Boggles my mind how anyone could give it GotY.
lol, Sony has multiple branches throughout the US providing jobs for many of our citizens. If you really want to be patriotic, you should be supporting both. Regardless, patriotism is what got us into this war in the first place. Patriotism started World War I and II as well. Patriotism is bad! Be an individual, not a mindless husk.
@ gamingdroid
You didn't contribute anything to the discussion. He/she brought up a valid point. You don't see Sony tryi...
Gives me hope for the 3DS.
It is. Even during it's seventh year, the PSP is selling 30K+ units a week over in Japan. That's as close to domination as you'll get. The 3DS got a boost these last couple weeks, but the lead is already diminishing despite the price drop. If the next week sees the 3DS below 30K, don't expect sales to rise again until the end of the year.
Sony already sold me on the Vita, just hadn't preordered yet. Now with Persona 4: Golden, I'm thinking I'll be doing that ASAP.
Sega might do it this time. You never know. If you really want it, organize a group like Operation Rainfall and try to convince Sega to publish said games. VC3 would probably be more likely as this is the same game just packed with extras. They could've been waiting for this all along.
Down another 40K units this week. If it settles at 30K, the 3DS might be able to tough it out. Hopefully it doesn't drop below 20K. Who know's what Nintendo will do then.
If I had the money, I'd get all three: Dead Island, Gears, and Resistance 3. But what it'll probably end up being is R3 and Dead Island. Gears can wait. Unless of course, they have one helluva story. Then I'll switch out Dead Island for Gears.
EDIT: lol Forgot Persona 2. That one's at the top of the list. And if my budget allows it, The Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection.
That bad, huh? I thought the original was the worst. lol Regardless, I'm not falling for this trap again. That game was awful.
I hope Stig is still the director. Thought the third was easily the best of the franchise. His direction puts Balrog's to shame and is perhaps even better than Jaffe. The script was also more interesting.
I wouldn't mind seeing them break away from God of War, though. The third pretty much wrapped everything up.
I'd sure hope you were thinking of Legend of Heroes; otherwise, you have missed out on a truly great game.
Sony is making it easier to release games for the system... finally. lol Also it helps when they've given up royalties on these type of products released for the PSP: more profit to the developers/publishers.
Don't bother. It's obvious he feels Nintendo won by achieving better month-end sales, which is important, but to believe that Nintendo has been #1 consistently or will be in the future is just dumb.
I wouldn't say shun so much as not interested. There's no massive conspiracy here. PS3 owners don't flock together and decide to boycott a title. Now if this were the Wii, I'd be happy if gamers were boycotting Nintendo 'til Xenoblade comes out.
lol I wish. If anything, Cole from inFamous 2 would be breaking the stereotype if so. You're reading too much into it. The buddy-buddy scene was just that, buddy-buddy. They were having a little bro time. Nothing wrong with that.
Besides, what's it matter how his voice sounds? I personally think it sounds sexy and not at all high pitched. I know many straight folk with higher-pitched voices, and many gay with lower octaves. The tone of your voice has nothing to do wit...
This. 100% this. Wow, this isn't N4G. It can't be. How many times do you get this many reasonable posts in a single thread. I can't believe people are actually having a discussion. Another great post.
The only thing I'd add to that is the possibility of more selfish choices. People are constantly looking to shirk off responsibility. Humans would do anything to avoid regret, so they tend to follow their "heart"; their urges. Of course, there's not...
Is working his way through Fable III, but glad you mentioned it. I loved how at the beginning the King made you choose between executing your friend and a bunch of random nobodies. Even greater still, the relativity of inaction. Kudos to Peter Molyneux for putting a timer on there. The slight addition made the scene all the more intense.
I decided not to choose. Where do you draw the line? What makes one person more valuable than the next? I theorize that by giving into these...
Why don't you have more bubbles? I understand why people shouldn't ask, but I've always liked your comments. Very logical and astute. Your explanations are thorough and bring a lot to discussions. Thank you.
Totally agree on the overemphasized visual aesthetics. AI, programming, and physics can make or break a game. It's all about believability. These "morality systems" tend to break immersion because of the black and white choices.
No Legend of Heroes. No Persona 2 or 3. No Birth By Sleep. No Tactics Ogre or Final Fantasy or Syphon Filter. Shame on you. How could you honestly have picked up a PSP and not play/enjoy these games.
*loves his PSP to death* <3
